Elysium Hotel Paphos, Cyprus

Amazing outdoor pool area, great rooms, lovely bars, relaxing indoor and outdoor restaurants. Big indoor pool, great gym, sauna, steam and spa. Everything is so spacious, tasteful and clean. The food is beyond amazing. One of the restaurants is a huge, constantly changing buffet, which is fantastic. The hotel is near 2 brilliant archeological sites, the tomb of the Kings and the Archaeological Park. The feeling of the hotel is classy relaxed. The best thing of all is the staff, who are all so lovely, so helpful and make your stay so easy and enjoyable.

The beach nearby is a bit rocky, but Coral Bay is just a short bus ride away and fabulous.

Everything about Elysium is awesome. One of the best stays yet in Cyprus.

I tried to recollect real hard but nothing came to my mind that I did not liked. Maybe I stayed a little less in the heaven there.

Due to the fact that the hotel in not in the centere more shuttels to the old city and marine are recommended, Should allow a couple with 2 small kids to stay in the same room and not to take 2 rooms which make it exspensive

An old-fashioned hotel that is incredibly well maintained. Super clean, excellent service, lots of staff who are just looking to help. The rooms are spacious, we had a gorgeous view of the pool and the sea and good food at breakfast and hotel restaurants .

We liked everything staff cleanness and food. Looking forward to return for the seventh time.

The staff were so friendly and incredibly welcoming especially by making a fuss of our 15 month old. The breakfast was superb too!!

This hotel was the best I have stayed in. From the moment you go in you enter a different world in terms of decor, comfort and above all the superb welcome from all the staff which lasts for the entire holiday. The hotel is spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained. I also loved the amount of space outside with loads of sunbeds and the quiet and peaceful area around the sea front.a

Although the food was delicious it was rather expensive.

I spent a weekend at the Elysium Hotel and it was absolutely perfect. The staff were warm, attentive and went above an beyond from the moment we arrived. The room was spotless and we were upgraded to a side sea view. The breakfast buffet had a large variety of cold and hot options so you were spoilt for choice. The pool area was peaceful and luxurious. Was just what we needed for a relaxing weekend getaway!

The hotel and grounds are gorgeous. The staff are amazing. We only ate breakfast at the hotel and it was lovely with lots of choice and all very fresh. Sunbeds super comfortable and plentiful. Pool bar very reasonably priced and service very efficient. Rooms very clean and very well equipped.

If you can don’t book a partial sea view room - ours cost extra and basically looked directly onto a car park and a building site - you could see the sea but not without moving the chairs and table. I understand that they started excavating for building and found some ruins so had to stop so now it’s surrounded by tatty, torn fabric hoardings - not really what you want to see when you open the curtains in the morning 😳. Not at all worth the extra money and genuinely the only thing that was disappointing about the whole trip.

The rooms were exceptionally clean, spacious, and very comfortable — clearly maintained to the highest standards. We especially loved the night shows, which offered stunning views of both the pool and the sea. Service was truly 5 stars. Highly recommended!

Honestly, This is one of the best hotels I ever stayed in, the stuff were exceptionally sweet and helpfull, they found a solution to every problem we had. Everything was really clean and the food was great A mist visit for a great experience

The hotel has super-friendly staff, very delicious, generous breakfasts, and modern and spacy rooms with a stunning view of the sea. Their in and outdoor pools are amazing. They are cleaning the rooms several times per day, which adds a lot to the comfort of your stay.

You should close the windows because of the birds feeling free to fly into the rooms.

The service from the staff was exceptional, food was amazing (buffet and hotel restaurants). My partner is gluten-free and the supervisors did a great job of accommodating her dietary needs at all times. There was one slip-up by a member of staff where they gave my partner bread containing gluten and said it was gluten-free when we questioned it, so she ate it, we were later told it wasn’t gluten free. But apart from that, it was a perfect stay and I would highly-recommend to visit.

The blanket is impossible to sleep under - does not allow air in. Without it cold and with it like sauna.

The staff who speak Greek. Their friendliness. The clearness of the space, the luxury, the environment.

The only small thing I would suggest is to put something on the bathroom wall where the residents can hold on to get out of the bathroom. My mother was afraid that she would hurt herself because the bathtub is very tall and she had nowhere to hold on.

Place is nice, staff is amazing, breakfast was excellent. Spa is good, indoor pool is decent size. Style and rooms are great.

There are a construction work close to the hotel. So you see the sea through the work. You can get water only on breakfast, in spa or once a day in a bottle in the room. You must buy water in other cases. Ceasar salad in Mediterraneo is really bad, you should avoid it. But gyros is okay. so try to refer local food.

The hotel is well designed, the rooms are spacious and clean, the breakfast is wonderful and the staff are just so welcoming and kind. We had such a great time, no doubt we will book this hotel again, on our next vacation to Paphos.

Our room was considered one of the best in the hotel and id probably stay in the same room again, on the third floor 3230 facing the sea and partial pool. The facilities are good and the room very clean, although id say quite dated, the bathroom has old style shower and probably could use a facelift. The mattress was ok, but started to cave on the side closest to the balcony doors. There is a Nesspresso machine and capsules are provided. The AC worked well to cool the room. There is private free parking at lobby level and also under ground near security. I suggest to clean out the underground parking, a bit of paint and a couple of plants would go a long way as is not reflective of the property and more like 2*. Breakfast was standard. There is a footpath right in front of the hotel that leads to the lighthouse, castle and fort. Many people use it to exercise. Thanks to Thanasis from concierge who spent lots of time to guide us with all the facilities.

I read in the reviews that there were renovations and was concerned so i called the hotel and assured that the noise would not affect our stay. One could hear the noise BUT, was only when the patio doors were open.The pool was in the process of being reopened but at 15C id rather swim in the sea at 18C. However the sea was also closed with a red flag due to high winds. Even if open it’s not a beach. It’s rocky and not so accessible. Part of it on the left has bulldozed earth (with rubbish), so not sure if this is also being renovated ??!! There is also an indoor heated pool, but we did not use it as is very chlorinated and the smell was overwhelming. A fridge that you can’t put anything in as there is a notice that its only for hotel provided drinks. I could understand if it limits you to put in food. The nearest ironing room was a floor above :-( but the hotel made an effort to bring an ironing board to the room. The iron worked fine but the board collapsed a few times. In short this hotel can make so many small improvements that can elevate the services, which is an expectation from a 5* property. A call from guest services, or a note in the room to ask how is our stay, and if we need anything or make suggestions. Writing this review is a bit late for service recovery.

The service was exceptional, the staff was always happy, ready to help, the cocktail bar in the hotel was cheap compared to what level of service you get.
