Elysium Hotel Paphos, Cyprus

Room service and staff was excellent! The staff was also excellent, apart from one person (arrogant) at the reception during our check-in!

The fact that the customer relations telephone number was never answered, as well as the front desk telephone number for several times we have tried to call.

Even though we added money for dinner, we had to pay for bottled water, which is the most basic thing, compared to breakfast where they gave out free water.

The only issue I found was the the bath is very high getting in and out of the shower

A very well presented hotel and staff were attentive and very helpful. The newly renovated suite room was spacious.

The breakfast was delicious and aesthetically presented, and despite the busyness, the dining room was run perfectly, with the staff taking care to ask if more drinks were needed, etc. The dinners were varied, special, and delicious. The staff was pleasant, attentive, and friendly.

Incredible and impeccable service throughout our stay! The staff went above and beyond to make sure our vacation was memorable, including a custom request of an ice cream cake for my husband’s birthday ( the cake was heavenly)!!!! The pool area was amazing, with plenty of sun beds, helpful & friendly staff and an incredible food & drink service. On Saturday & Sunday, a live DJ was spinning tunes poolside really adding to the tropical atmosphere.

My two minor complaints: 1. Our room (partial sea view) overlooked a parking lot with a smidgeon of sea if you craned your neck all the way to the right. At $450 a night I expected a nicer view, even if it wasn’t full sea view. 2. The bathroom did not have a separate shower. It was a narrow tub with a hand held shower head.

All Staff were very friendly and communicative. Credit to the GM and his Team for keeping the Elysium after so many years to such a great Standard alltogether. Excellent food and service to all in house restaurants, thoroughly enjoyed! Thank You for your great Hospitality, we'll be surely be back!

This hotel is luxury in every sense of the word. Incredibly comfortable beds, a fabulous breakfast, and truly kind, attentive staff made our stay exceptional. The location is ideal if you have a car, and the live music at the bar in the evenings added a special touch. It felt like a true home away from home.

Exceptional property, Best breakfast to be had, nothing was too much trouble. Pool was really warm, very clean and the staff worked hard to make the stay so enjoyable. Our suite was magnificent, overlooked the sea and pool area, good aircon, and very good housekeeping.

The beach is difficult to access due to rocks and pebbles

Wow beyond all our high expectations! Mostly the food and cocktails which I wasn’t sure that will meet our taste but were surprisingly good.

I cant wait for the adult only part to be re-opened. The hotel is so well designed that it wasn’t so bad because of the families but I believe that the adult-only part will maximize the experience for child-free people…

the breakfast had a wide spread. included multiple options for vegetarians. the pools were clean and the beach was fun to swim. excellent overall experience.

Really great and spacious pool area with plenty of room, so it never felt too crowded. The free beachfront sundecks were awesome and came with full service. Friendly staff and clean rooms. We didn’t use the resort restaurants, but there were many options and services to choose from. Good running routes and outdoor gyms along the shoreline. Paphos still reachable even at the shore.

The location is a bit remote, but it’s not a problem since the views and seafront are great!

The hotel is lovely, part of it is being renovated but this didn’t impact our stay. The rooms are nice, traditional rather than modern, it was strange having a carpeted room on a med holiday but the design is well thought out and everything was super clean.

I can’t really think of anything I didn’t like, the breakfast is fabulous as is the evening themed buffet (approx €45 pp). We didn’t try the other restaurants as we were only there a couple of nights. We had a couple of niggly problems related to the Booking.com booking but the hotel staff were helpful and this was sorted out. Overall a chilled and relaxing short break!

Without doubt one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. The quality of the service - from arrival, through check-in, in-room and bar and restaurant service - was impeccable.

Great service-I believe such a service and staff assistance I experienced for the first time(although I stayed in many 5 starts hotels in Cyprus) Everything very clean-comfortable bed,available robes and comfortable slippers.Staff would bring extra water for the use. Had dinner in the hotel-Ristorrante Bacco,which had mediaval style(it felt that we were not in Cyprus),food was one of the most delicious I ever had🤩 At the evening live music performance-really enjoyed it.

I liked everything,since couple of days before my visit of the hotel was my Birthday,it would be nice to receive some small complimentary in this regards.

The hotel is clean beautiful and calming. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The staff on arrival were amazing and accommodating.

One of the staff members was a Jehovah witness and tried to get us interested in their religion while we were relaxing at the pool.

We had the best of times at Elysium hotel! The hotel is so comfortable and has everything ready for you -from the magnificent pool, spa, well equipped gym and spacious guest rooms. There are also several options for dyning within and outside the hotel. Its location is also great near the beach and a lovely promenade.I would like also to recognize Anthoni ,Thanasis, Costas for their constant support.Definitely recommending and will be happy to come back

Everything was amazing, and the staff were incredibly friendly. They even surprised us with a complimentary birthday cake in the room, as my birthday happened to fall during the week of our stay.

The only negative aspect of our experience was the behavior of the head waiter (or at least who we assumed to be the head waiter) at the Italian restaurant. He informed us that any option with a different price would be considered an extra and not included in the two-course menu. When I placed my order, I mentioned I wanted the lobster pasta. Since there was no indication of an additional charge on the menu, we naturally assumed it was included in the course options. Instead of politely clarifying, the waiter responded with a dismissive laugh and said, “For a 50-euro course?” — implying that such a price couldn’t possibly include lobster. His tone was condescending, and his attitude came across as both disrespectful and unprofessional. He didn’t even take the time to inform us of the actual price difference. Aside from this incident, however, the rest of our experience was excellent!

The beach is very small and rocky. Not really a beach destination.

We had a lovely stay at Elysium Hotel. The pool area offers a stunning view, and it’s only a three-minute walk to the Tombs of the Kings. There’s also a beautiful coastal path for walks, which we really enjoyed. Breakfast was a highlight—fantastic food every morning. The staff were generally wonderful, especially Thanasis the portier, who welcomed us warmly and explained the hotel facilities thoroughly. Retchell, one of the breakfast waitresses, stood out for her genuine smile and warm service—it was such a pleasant way to start the day.

However, we did notice a consistent lack of enthusiasm from Maria, who seats guests in the restaurant. She appeared uninterested and somewhat sarcastic, which unfortunately impacted the dining experience across several mornings. In a five-star hotel, professionalism and attitude matter greatly. We had just come from a stay at the Four Seasons, where every single member of staff—from porters to chambermaids—was impressively trained and sincerely welcoming. With both hotels being rated five stars, we expected a similar standard. While Elysium has many strengths, there’s room for improvement in staff consistency and hospitality training.
