Hotel Danmark, Copenhagen

Best location, in walking distance to anywhere, free wine hour and night cap was a big plus in this expensive city.

The room was too small and too hot. Even though we stayed at the end of august, we couldn’t sleep from the heat. No air conditioning and the windows were lucked as well :(

It was extremely warm in the room but the heating was built in and only at check out I was told I could have adjusted it by opening a little hatch.

The breakfast was amazing, it had lots of choice and good quality, organic foods. The location was perfect, walking distance to lots of main sights. The facilities were clean and well kept.

The main elevator was small and slow because it served so many people that we waited up to 10 minutes sometimes for it to come. The room itself was nice but small.

Cramped room, strange Danish “double” bed that is actually just two twin beds pushed together (this might be a Danish thing rather than something specific to this hotel). Also, the little signs everywhere and the graphic “signature” of the property are a bit precious for my taste, but whatever.

Hotel Danmark is in the center of Copenhagen, located by the city hall.

The furniture is little bit old, smell inside the hotel in front of the rooms weerd, the breakfast is not so varied and the rent of bikes is expensive, more expensive than Donkey.

Excellent location for all tourist attractions, lovely staff very friendly and extremely helpful with places to visit and eat at, great touch with the wine and nightcap hours! Would definitely stay again. thanks

The room we were given was extremely small no room for cases or moving around the room, two single beds pushed together and toilet had stains on the inside of rim!! We would stay again just not in that room!!

Great location! Close to the station and city centre. The hotel staff were very friendly and allowed us to check in early. The room was smaller than expected but the facilities were great. Would recommend staying here again as the location is too good to be true and the hotel and staff are amazing! Plus the free happy hour/night cap was a sweet bonus!

Rooms are spacious and very comfortable, complimentary wine hour was great, check in and check out were really smooth and breakfast has some great choices like the organic orange juice and the croissants.

No restaurant in the hotel operating outside breakfast hours. Rooftop bar was closed during our stay.

Location was great!

The room we were given was very noisy. Also the weather was great and we wanted to open the windows, however, it was not allowed and we had a very bad experience due to the heat. Also, the breakfast was well advertised, however, I would recommend people don't take this option and simply walk to one of the many bakeries around.

First night was unlivable in the room, it is super small and no air conditioning. It was really hot and fan only moved hot air around. No fridge to cool down drinks.

Very central location, modern furniture and stylish mood at the bar. Most of the people at the desk were nice.

I felt like the hotel play a smaller role in the building than the bar. Our room seemed clean at first, but at the end we discoverd hair under the matress cover and the bottom part of the toilet was not properly cleaned. In general it felt it was great design but too little maintenance for the price we paid (elevator buttons, closet doors... were not working great). The rooms headed on the Tivoli side are very noisy on the weekend.

The location is so good and the staff were wonderful! I really liked the wine hour and the night cap. Rooftop bar was excellent and great breakfast.

The elevator, only one in the building and on "rush hour" it took ages and ages getting it wich was specially bad from the roof topbar. The size of my room. I felt like Harry potter when he was living under the stairs in Little Whinging.

The location was great for the Metro and to get around the city. Staff were friendly and helpful. The wine and night cap hours were a good idea - very sociable. Breakfast was good and open until 11.

The size of the room was deceptive from the description- very little room to move around the bedroom (bathroom was fine) and wardrobe was small. As a city break we accommodated this.

The parking is too expensive and you need to park your car a little far to get cheaper parking fees.

The hotel is very nicely designed and housed in an old building. We only stayed one night and didn't use the restaurant, however they have a rather lovely Wine Hour around 5pm, for residents where you can come for a free drink before going out. There is also a free nightcap at the end of the evening. This was a lovely touch. Our room was compact, but the bathroom was very nice.

The room was really very small with only room for two single beds and nothing else. There was nowhere to store our cases. As we were only there one night it was fine for us. As the hotel is housed in an old building I suppose some of the room sizes are on the small size.

Breakfast was excellent. Having bikes available was also a very convenient for guests.

I'm not sure why the roof deck bar was closed, which was a little unfortunate. My one issue was the size of the room. Did not like that the bed fit wall to wall, it made sleeping a little uncomfortable, a little claustraphobic.

It is very noisy, particularly in the courtyard if a group spends late night there. Should establish a curfew for use of the courtyard

The rooms were bright and spacious, bathrooms were updated and clean. The front desk was so. friendly and helpful. Breakfast was consistently delicious and most convenient location! We walked everywhere. Only downside was that it was a bit noisy with windows open for the breeze, but we enjoyed the city atmosphere and got to see fireworks at Tivoli from our window!

Only downside was city noises outside, so maybe not good for a light sleeper. We did not mind it at all. Bring an eyemask because had to keep window open for the breeze.

We loved the location of the hotel which was close to many attractions as well as the metro. The atmosphere had a cool vibe.

It had a nice atmosphere. The rooms were simple but all we needed. Loved being able to sit outside for wine hour and it was nicely decorated. Great location to explore Copenhagen. Lots of shops nearby.

No food available, only breakfast. Rooms small even though we booked superior room and thought there was a sofa in room. We did get a balcony, which gave us space and nice to watch the world go by and get some air and rooms were stuffy with no air on , only a fan.

Excellent location, friendly staff, comfy beds, no aircon but probably not usually so hot as our trip so Dyson fan really helped, great bar, rooftop bar and loved free drinks hours.

Bathroom was a bit small

Great little boutique hotel in a super location for those wanting to explore Copenhagen. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable on sites & activities as well as local restaurant recommendations. The rooms are a good size and come with everything you need. There’s a smart rooftop bar offering some wonderful views of the city, and for guests, there is a wine hour as well as a nightcap hour. The hotel only does a continental style buffet breakfast, otherwise no other food is served. The variety of the breakfast spread is wide and varied, with plenty of options from granola, fruit, cheese & ham, to eggs, sausages and pastries. Otherwise I’d recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a simple, clean base with friendly staff very knowledgeable of the city and happy to help out with any bookings or recommendations.

Very small things really. There was no aircon in the room and the rooms on the 6th floor were very warm. There was a fan that helped but didn't solve the problem. The only other comment I’d make is that the doors on the 6th floor slam very loudly and it’s therefore very easy to hear guests coming and going, and the rooftop bar means that occasionally you’ll get some loud guests going back down.

The location was excellent . The room was bigger than expected . The wine hour was very good , nice to mix with other guests , wine quality was good .

It was very warm in the bedroom. The breakfast was nice , but would have hoped for more in the pastry /sweet section than just plain croissants .

Modern and stylish hotel in perfect location, excellent breakfasts with delicious bread, friendly staff. Free wine and digestive hours were a nice extra touch. There’s no A/C in the room but powerful fan successfully replaced it.

Sink in the room, very small and tight shower room, would expect large bathroom for this value and didn’t expect the sink to be in the room.

Breakfast was very nice. The drinks for free in afternoon hour and late night hour was advantage. Coffe and tea in room Bar on roof.

We had very noisy room ( outside traffic) That was only one disadvantage we had during our stay and why we did not give more points.
