Residence Inn by Marriott Hotel, Cincinnati

Breakfast was great! There was a great selection of food and the dishes were swapped out frequently to keep everything warm. The staff were pleasant and friendly as well and I thought that they made an effort to create an enjoyable atmosphere for guests.

I'm hard-pressed to come up with any negatives, but if I had to nitpick, I would probably say that the rooms look a little bit dated. You're paying a bit of a premium price for location, which is awesome, but there are more affordable options. Maybe not better, but more affordable.

Valet parking when you pull up to the front door is very nice. Check in was easy. Our room was bigger than I anticipated. The lighting in the space was beautiful. Massive windows. Fan in the ceiling created back noise all night. Staff were friendly. & there was decent music in the elevator I may have danced a little too.

The roof top bar is only open during warmer seasons. However there’s a bar on the base level that also serves food.

Room was spacious and well set up.

Pubic hair all over the sheets in the bed and shower.

Convenient to restaurants in attractions

One staff member by the name of Gabriel was very rude and did not project a feeling of true customer service. He got flip when I asked a question about a possible charge to my credit card, and did not offer the suggestions for restaurants that delivered to the site when they clearly had it in documentation format that I had to get from another staff member the next day. The rest of the staff was great, especially Carmen and Miss Francis .

The hotel jacked up their prices 5x what it should be if we had the stayed the night before and not during the Swift concert. Rooms are old. Don’t think they were cleaned well. Hotel couldn’t handle all the ppl showering after the concert and we had cold water only.

A bit dusty

The front desk and every staff member we encountered were SO nice! They were also very accommodating as we traveled 3.5 hours for a concert. It was the weekend of the Taylor Swift concert and a Reds game so the entire city was very busy. We couldn’t believe how well the hotel ran and how welcomed we felt.

The staff was absolutely fantastic, at check-in, check out, and throughout the stay. The Roof Top bar, the valets, front desk, and even the maintenance work we met on the elevator all had a welcoming energy that is so much needed in the life we are living now. Thanks to everyone for making me want to say with the Phelps Residents Inn everyone I visit Cincinnati..

It's not I didn't or don't like it. I inquired about a possible upcoming visit, and the rate is almost double what I paid for this visit.

The rooms were very spacious and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

I didn’t like that there wasn’t any designated parking and that we would have to pay to have someone park our car after paying a lot to stay there.

Karen at the front desk was so helpful - though we arrived early, she accommodated us and assured us we could park there and enjoy the festival in the city though it was only 10am - that saved us a lot of hassle. She and the valet attendant were very kind and treated us with a great deal of care and warmth - it stood out to my wife and i as going the extra mile!! Then - the breakfast was amazing - and the breakfast crew were hard at work to take care of everyone - - Angie, Tasha & Debbie were amazing - thanks for a great stay!

It was very clean friendly staff nice lounge

The property is very beautiful, clean, and even though the hotel itself offers a full bar and restaurant experience you are still near so much to travel to in a short amount of time.

I love that the staff was very helpful. I had issues in the beginning of my stay and Paul general manager, plus a good amount of other employees fixed it immediately.

The rooms were lovelty and spacious. Very well decorated. Lovely breakfast, lots to choose from.

The property has an old timey vibe with stained glass windows and wood finishes but still didn’t seem outdated or run down. It was incredibly clean and the staff were all so kind and helpful. The hospitality was lovely.

The parking situation is a little bit inconvenient. Your choices are to pay $40 plus tip per day for Valet or feed a meter. They do not have a parking lot on the premises.

There are some plumbing issues that need attention and the quality of the bedding needs upgrading. Poor quality sheets and pillows. The rooms on the back side of the building are above the parking lot. The honking of horns as the valet delivers and drops off and locks up were frequent, loud and throughout the day and night. Might be good to enclose and insulate the parking!

Very large clean spaces, with comfortable furniture and good breakfast options.

Several things in the room like cabinet pulls and shower door handle were loose or broken.

Everything else!!! Good breakfast and coffee,great room, and lovely lovely people....from the folks at the front desk , to the breakfast folks in the dining room ,to the car valets. Very helpful and extremely nice folks to interact with.

The rooftop bar was closed on Saturday for a private function, and then just closed on Sunday..bummer, we wanted to show some friends the rooftop bar , and the wonderful view of Cincinnati from it, which we had experienced during a previous stay.

Valet parking only had one attendant. Although friendly and hard-working, he was overmatched by the arrivals. One additional attendant is needed.

The staff at all levels was friendly and attentive. Great location and easy access to restaurants and in our case the Taft Theater. Only two blocks away.

The hotel staff were all amazing - we stayed for a weekend, and it felt like we were treasured friends from walking in. From the front desk to the breakfast servers (who make a fantastic spread that's different every day), people were helpful, courteous and went out of their way to accommodate our visit. Also, I've never slept in such a QUIET hotel at night - the hotel was nearly at capacity, and we could not hear a single other guest in our room and road noise was nearly nonexistent, despite being in a beautiful section of downtown. Already booking a second stay for my next time here.

Some costs were not directly visible - valet service is a necessity if you drive and is a reasonable but undisclosed $35/day. Prices listed also didn't include a nearly 20% increase due to various taxes - none of this is really off-putting for what we experienced, but the undisclosed costs increased the total by quite a bit. Hotel bar and restaurant close a bit early as well, which is a shame for the quality of service and food.
