Staypineapple at The Alise Hotel, Chicago

We loved everything about the hotel. The location, the interior decorations and all Pineapple details. Our room was really spacious and comfortable and we loved the view from our windows. The staff was also great. Thank you for warm welcoming 😊 I wish we could stay longer!

The hotel has a great location inside the loop. We had a clean room with a very nice view of State Street. The bed was very comfortable.

The hotel charges $25 per guest for a "convenience fee" to cover the incidentals you may use in the room, such as coffee and rights to use their bicycles. If the charge was optional, it wasn't made clear. The room had a fridge and a pod-based coffee maker which was not very good. We definitely did not get our $50 convenience fee money's worth.

Cracking location - I use the staypineapple regularly for work trips to Chicago. It is fantastic, and the team are super friendly and attentive to your needs.

The bathrooms are a little dated, nothing wrong with them - but could do with a small refresh in due course.

The staff were great. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a great view.

Valet took too long.

What a great location. The staff are amazing and make your stay exceptional. The attached restaurant 'Atwood' is really nice with awesome food & Service. Right in the heart of everything & within distance of most things. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay again. Thank you so much

Great location a few blocks from the river and Grant Park as well as several transit stops. Lots of nearby restaurants and shops. Cool views of Chicago Theater on State St. Older building but well maintained with a nice bar and restaurant downstairs.

The gym equipment is very dated but functional.

Location was excellent, easy walking to many attractions and close to public transportation for places farther away. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Cookies are excellent. Comfortable bed and room. Nice view.

Restaurant was convenient. Food was a little uneven and a bit pricey.

Good location, hotel was an old style building but was a comfortable stay. Beds were really comfortable and the room provided everything. Complimentary drink from the fridge or hotel bar was a nice touch and reusable water bottles were also welcomed.

Main road noise, however couldn’t be helped due to the location and didn’t impact our sleeping.

Historic property in the heart of the financial loop district. Staff was also friendly and took care of us at the check in and the bar.

This might sound strange but the lifts and the stairs looks like it’s straight out of those old gangster movies. Love it

Trendy motel in a great location with very friendly and helpful staff. We had a corner room which was huge, had great amount of USB charging and complimentary water bottles that could be refilled. Lovely shower, bath and gowns which we enjoyed after flying during the night.

I was there for a Blues Festival and to see friends. It was the perfect location, and the hotel bar was a nice space to relax with a group!

Wonderful location, close to park and other Loop attractions, right by a train stop and super easy to get to Midway. Nice property, friendly staff.

Location was perfect to explore Chicago and very close to many L lines. The room was a great size and very comfortable. There were a lot of nice touches like the reusable water bottle in the room.

Conveniently located in the theater district and a short walk to fantastic restaurants and attractions. Staff was hospitable and very quick to help! Overall a lovely stay

Location was excellent. Hotel was beautifully renovated to honor the historic nature of the building. Large windows with great a view down State Street to the Marshal Field building and Chicago Theater.

The price was way more than we have ever spent in fifty plus years of international travel. Our “deluxe” king room was very small as was the bathroom. I felt the $24.95 Daily Amenity Charge (for a coffee maker, 1 bottle of water and a welcome drink) that was sprung on us when we checked in was inexcusable when paying $600/night. That fee was never listed in the booking description. Our three night stay was almost $1800. which is crazy since there is no complimentary anything such as breakfast or a pool/health facility just a sugar cookie in the afternoon. We had to stay there due to other family members in town for a grandchild’s graduation. I would never stay there again due to the expense.

I did not have high expectations, mostly due to rhe name. The name sounded really odd and gave a weird, budget hotel vibe. But I will definitely stay here again. The staff of the restaurant and reception were friendly. The room had high ceilings and spectacular views. The desk was for once by the window and not against the wall. Breakfast is great. And the renovation of the building has been done with great taste.

It’s a small thing but the coffee at breakfast was cold to lukewarm. Small thing and could have said something about it.

A good deal for its location and room/service quality! Love the dog toy with a pineapple hat they placed in the room. A lot of pineapple elements in the room and they add fun to the stay. Recommend to all!

The location was great and the room was nice. The taxi to the airport was cheaper than Uber. The welcome drink and the bed was comfy

My view was awful. Nothing like the photos, it was on the back of the building. The restaurant is super expensive and they do not give discount to guests, 10 dollars for a porridge and 5 for a filter coffee. The gym was very basic.

I loved the complementary welcome drinks, and the staff was super friendly. I had dinner at the restaurant and was very good and decently priced. The location was perfect for the things we wanted to do. We were super close to public transit.

The resort fees are fairly steep, but they are refunded.

Prime location!! The most comfortable bed!! Gorgeous views and amazing food. Sashon went above and beyond to make our stay and trip to the airport outstanding. We are already planing to return. I could sit in our gorgeous room forever. Quiet even though downtown. Close to anything you want to do.

The age of the building is showing, but didn’t impact our stay.

Perfect if seeing a show at Chicago Theater

Generally a good stay. Some kind of a noise in the room which appeared to come from next door. Maintenance were very helpful dealing with it on the first day but it was back again the next day.

Everything. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. It has definitely set the bar for what I look for in a hotel stay.

I love the location of the hotel. You really feel in the thick of things. Since it was the holidays, the decorations were really fun. I appreciate the little touches like cookies in the afternoon. The public area is comfortable and was very cozy despite the cold weather. I love the whole vibe of the hotel. Best hotel beds I've ever slept in! Also, I had a great view of the NYE fireworks from my window!

The room was a little dark. It could benefit from another lamp or two. The surrounding area is pretty noisy with street musicians etc. (although that is part of the excitement of being in a big city).

Great locale and rendezvous spot. Comfort and amenities. Friendly staff.

Only comment here was some noisy activity in early morning on a Saturday was annoying. Not sure what it was, but sounded like slamming on something.
