Steenberg Hotel Tokai, Cape Town

The hotel is charming. Everything done in perfection, to make the guests feel good. It located in an amazing and beautiful farm close to Cape Town, with a golf club, a winey and two restaurants on site. The restaurants are both great, and their wine too.

Only complain a have is that the room I got (the cheaper one) is a little simple, and the ceilings are small for tall people (I have 1,92m), so I think the room is a bit overpriced for what it delivers, although the hotel itself is amazing.

They kick you out when it’s check out time in a non hospitable manner

Everything was incredible; from the minute we arrived our luggage was taken care of, the staff were super friendly and we really felt welcomed and taken care of. Everything you could want for your honeymoon and more. We wish we'd booked a few extra nights, it was a great place and we'll definitely be back.

The only negative thing we have to say and it's probably not in the hotel's control, but we were woken up extremely early by the resident geese/ducks. They were so loud and right outside our window.

Food was amazing! Location and services were really great. The pool area was so calm and relaxing but the food and room was a real highlight!

Beautiful hotel in peaceful and quiet setting. Friendly and attentive staff that accommodated our late arrival. Lovely Breakfast was well presented.

The entire experience, from arrival to departure. Most impressive was dinner at the hotel and the Spa - absoluut professional and a cut above the rest.

What a beautiful piece of paradise in the middle of Cape Town. Such a tranquil and luxurious spot with sublime meals and superb rooms. It exceeded our expectations and we absolutely loved our stay. The hotel catered to our every request with both punctuality and precision.

Really couldn't have asked for more. Cape Town weather was also exceptional. So an absolute thumbs up from us. Everything had recently undergone a re-vamp and this only added to the ambiance of the venue.

The hotel staff & all the rooms are wonderful, the setting is gorgeous & totally relaxing.
Dinner & wine selections in Tryn very good indeed.

Sadly, the breakfast service on this occasion was a shambles.

Location, friendliness of the staff, aesthetic, pool area, proximity to Cape Town and the airport. Loved the restaurant physical building setup / the outdoor terraces.

The restaurant staff for both breakfast and dinner could have been better - no real drive, enthusiasm, passion for customers, execution of service as befits the restaurant standard.

The place is beautiful, very comfortable rooms, extraordinary food. Excellent breakfast.

Please get some facilities for kids, they liked walking around and playing football but sometimes it is not enough. That being said, we still liked the stay

The attentiveness of the people working in the hotel and restaurants. They felt like personal friends who’ve known for years. Helpful tips with regards to food, things to do in and around the vineyard and even tips on where to run to prepare for the half marathon. During my days they always knew what I was up to and tried to help me where possible (in the best possible kind of way). Will definitely return.

The staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. They did anything and everything to make the stay the best.. Room service was accommodating and quick.

We had 4 wonderful days everything was perfect from food to staff
Very comfortable beds the grounds with all the beautiful flowers
Also if you wanted a transfer outside the hotel they were so very keen to take you which was a lovely touch
