You are not gonna miss anything here. Curtains at the bed, sockets, towel, kitchen with all neede utensils, included great breakfast (toast, hard boiled eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, fruit (apples, bananas, papaya, watermelon), crossaints, yogurt, granola and juice), pool and relaxing outdoor area. They even started a whatsapp group to conmect with others. Very clean and additional restrooms/showers besides the one in the room available.

The bathrooms could be cleaned more often. The location is central, but quite far from the beaches. If you’d like to be close to beach, consider other options.

We had a wonderful time with my son, 11 years old. I wanted my son to experience staying in a hostel/backpackers when traveling ... I was also worried it might be too much for him since he is used to traditional accommodation of hotels and guesthouses.... HE LOVED IT ... the other guests were so wonderful with him .... the staff were so understanding and made him feel valued as a guest. He also loved the sleeping arrangements and how safe it feels even when we left our things around. The place exceeded my expectations

Everything, this hostel was the perfect solution for me traveling alone . Breakfast was very good, the pool was very needed for relaxing in between my activities. The room was exactly as booked. I loved the common areas. I loved the view of Table Mountain.

Location, good value for money

Locaion is a walking distance to town ,a lot of places of interest.The wifi is srong, good breakfast and a kitchen if one wanted to make their own food.I also liked the table mountain view from the facility.The neighbourhood was safe.

The staff were the highlight - warm, attentive, and they even remembered my name. The place itself has a great vibe, and the breakfast is super good for a hostel. Comfortable clean dorms. Totally worth the money.

As others have mentioned, a free coffee option at breakfast would be nice, but it’s a minor point since it’s already cheap and good value for the money. The pool wasn’t the cleanest, but with the Cape Town wind, I imagine it’s tough to keep any pool spotless.

Location was central, could reach my event quite easily; Breakfast was lovely. Appreciated the security features and safe feeling of the place. Highlight was meeting new people. Quiet time after 11pm was welcomed.

Busy and noisy street....

The staff was very friendly, making the stay wonderful. Nice breakfast (the lady who served us the breakfast was such a beautiful soul), and the location is close to shopping centers.

The air conditioner didn't work the first night, and it was very cold. However, it was sorted the following day.

It was our second time at Villa Viva and Will go back again. Great breakfast and location.

Location is good, and staff friendly

Same breakfast for 5 days feel like we could have had something different maybe after two days. Bank beds was not the ideal hut they were comfortable though

Bathrooms were cleaned regularly, lots of great facilities (pool, chill out area, books, meal area with a good vibe, staff were friendly, felt secure and safe, good vibe generally, great location close to Kloof street & cafes , mountain view, really good value.

Occasionally people loud outside. People smoking weed or cigarettes in their room which came into my room / roommates who smelt strongly of weed. breakfast was so so.

Breakfast was good you got to eat what you want, what I love about the accommodation is that its located near many places which makes it more enjoyable. I hope il be back soon

The best thing was breakfast. Breakfast quality is amazing! bread, fruits, yogurt, eggs, etc. For the price of this hostel, I think it is very generous. The location of the hostel is also good, although a bit far from Wharf, there are many shops and restaurants around there (kloof street). As a solo traveler, I felt safe to walk around in kloof street. The table mountain view from the hostel is great.

The facility is a bit old - there is no soundproof at all. You hear everything from the corridor, even in your room. There are too many rooms and too crowded. Bathroom was not always clean. There is no amenity other than liquid soap.

The staff was really nice and great. Always willing to help at anytime and any request. The layout is comfortable. And very social hostel..

The common area or patio besides the bar by night is a bit dark and cold. Could be improved.

Great location, very clean and spacious, loads of areas suitable for working on a laptop, friendly staff, generous breakfast and incredible bbq nights on fridays

Wonderful location with amazing views of Table Mountain and convenient access to amenities. The breakfast was spectacular - very generous offering of fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, cereals, eggs and more! Great common spaces to meet other travelers or simply relax with a good book. Also love that its profits support local clean drinking water projects!

The outdoor space is beautiful and nicely maintained. View from the Swimming pool side is just stunning. Rooms are bit small but comfortable and clean. Shared bathroom were also neatly maintained. Morning breakfast was yummy. I would like to recommend it 😍

The bar staff, the location and the atmosphere of meeting new people and engaging with them in activities. There’s always something new to do and the hostel is a great way to get to know people

There were some construction happening which was a bit loud and annoying but other than that all good

Ive travelled to numerous hostels and hotels trough the last few years. But I rarely came across a place , that friendly, polite, helpful, clean. As this. The breakfast is very well balanced, the stuff is amazing. Even for solo travellers amazing to socialise. This be the only place in capetown I would stay. Its near shops and restaurants a nice walk to many tourist destinations. Super safe. I cant recommend it enough. Thank you guys for making a amazinf stay even nicer.

Good breakfast

The hostel is beautiful, nice communal kitchen with a lot of storagespace. The communal areas are so comfy, we felt right at home. The garden is a superplus!

Our room was very cold due to its place in the hostel. The location was fine, but a bit dar from waterfront etc. However, table- and lionsmountain were close!

Affordable backpaker type of travel. The braai evening with karaoke was good, it was lots of fun.

Breakfast is limited there was no hot selection.

Great vibe and setting and a view of Table Mountain. Lovely breakfast.

Check in process could be better and some dry vomit in the hand basin after the friends visited the Braai party but I’m sure it’s a one off.

Closed Room with no window with a view outside. Not enough clothes hanging knobs in bathroom. No Shampoo or Conditioner or Body Lotion is provided. No food service even as a quick emergency basic stuff.
