The room was very clean and well presented. It had everything we needed. The pool bar was very pleasant and a nice place to have a snack.

Provided full mini-bar for us, check-in check-out very smooth. Dining is a big plus, the restaurant on the lobby floor provided very delicious food. Room is clean and comfortable.

Location

Price of drinks was silly. ( You could buy the full bottle at Liquor Store 200m away for the price of 1 short in the hotel bar). Plus hidden in fine, fine print on drinks menu was, that this does not include tax and service charge. Nor any mention of what % these charges are. Very few actually having a drink in the bar and this is probably why. Rooms have no opening windows so can feel claustrophobic at times. Not up to the same standard as other Steigenburger Hotels in Luxor or Hurghada.

Location

Location is in the heart of the city. While the room felt old in design it was very clean with an updated bathroom. The room supposed to be Nile view, for honesty’s sake it was however you glimpse the nile just about. Also the window was very small and neighboring building tenants could invade your privacy and vise versa

We were very satisfied with the hotel, it's location and the service provided. Even though on the first day we found some mold in the shower, it was removed immediately and without any delay from the shower by exchanging the entire fugues where the mold had developed... They ensured us that this was a rare thing to happen to them and as a compensation we were allowed a late check out free of charge. The staff and especially the guest relations supervisor Ms. Riham Khaled were always helpful, kind and available at all times. Some of our friends were staying at nearby hotels (also big international chains) and they reported that their rooms were badly maintained and loud from the busy street nearby. Even though the Steigenberger hotel has sort of a business flair to it, the atmosphere and prompt service also with issues, gave us a full holiday vibe. We would recommend a stay at Steigenberger in Kairo to anybody visiting and wanting a hassle free experience in busy Cairo.

The hotel’s central location in the heart of downtown makes it an excellent choice for exploring the city. The room was clean, and the water pressure and temperature were both great. The staff were friendly and accommodating—if you need a bidet shower, they’ll install one free of charge upon request. However, the bed was quite firm, and the lighting in the room wasn’t sufficient. Despite requesting a non-smoking floor, I noticed cigarette smoke on my last night. Also, given its prime location, some city noise is to be expected. If you’re looking for convenience rather than luxury, this hotel is a solid choice.

Staff are very helpful and happy to serve. Location is great for exploring and is close to other attractions. They also have good food options for kids and provided our little one with a coloring book.

We strongly recommend this hotel for its location, guest friendly staff and superior service.

We stayed for 4 Days and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very attentive, with daily calls to check we were ok. At the end the guest relation supervisor spent time with us. The food was excellent

We enjoyed our stay a lot. The breakfast menu was changing daily, so it didn't get boring. Clean, spacious rooms with all necessary things and even slightly more. And a great location in the middle of burstling Cairo. Looking forward to be back

This location, in Cairo, is excellent. The food and service, in the restaurant, is wonderful! We unexpectedly added a night and organized a tour driver at the last minute- all of our changes were quickly facilitated by staff. The staff is so welcoming and helpful at all times- great stay! We highly recommend this hotel!

Very loudly because of the road

The tables were not cleared quickly, it was very busy and noisy. We always had to ask for water and coffee , even though there were staff there they didn’t come to fill the drinks we had to approach them. There were not any bowls and not enough chef making fresh eggs, we couldn’t get any at all. The front desk didn’t know any tourist information. They didn’t know about the new station Bashteel when we wanted to confirm our onwards journey. Everything was complicated to ask for help. We arranged all our travel independently so it would be better if they had some knowledge. There were no maps of the area , no tourist information at all.We asked for some money to be changed into smaller notes to use the metro and we were given damaged notes. When we went to the metro the cashier told us the money was useless as it was damaged and it was a bad hotel for giving us the money. He gave us tickets anyway, he was very kind. When we were busy eating or trying to go out for day trips we keep being asked to give reviews. What we wanted is to get service and information ! I don’t expect to be asked for this until after I leave , this is not relaxing or 5 star. We were never shown anything in the hotel we booked it for central location and pool, no one told us anything. We wanted to get coffee and bowls and information, not to constantly be asked for a review everytime we sit down or ask for something from front desk. Food and room was lovely and it was clean, staff were mostly friendly but restaurant some very unhappy faces and sometimes staff using their phones.

Clean and comfortable, but prices for travel trips at the reception are higher then in the internet about 2 times. Also, all day breakfast was not available in the restaurant, but was present in the menu. It changed our plans unpredictably

Good experience overall. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are small, so bear in mind if you bring big or many suitcases or if travelling with children. Food at the hotel wasn’t the best, just ok. Super close to the Cairo Museum.

The location of the hotel in the center of Cairo is really great! You can reach many nice and interesting places in a very short time. Some things are also within walking distance. The breakfast was great, a very large selection of all dishes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms we had were not very big but comfortable.

Basically everything was fine, but if we could wish for something, we would be happy to have a better coffee (espresso/cappuccino) from the portafilter machine.

Great hotel very good location 2 minutes from one of the most beautiful museum of Cairo. Near the Nil. The breakfast is very good and has a big choice. Thank you to Monica and Farida for everything they were very professionnal if you need anything ask these 2 womens. We recommend this hotel at 100%.

A little bit the location outside of the hotel .

It’s not clear why this is only a 4 star hotel as it certainly had a 5 star feel and service. Outstanding staff, often asking for feedback about their service, very comfortable rooms and beds, outstanding breakfast buffet, the best we have seen. Room service excellent with very generous portions that we could not finish, and reasonably priced laundry service. Highly recommend for a stay in Cairo
