Steigenberger El Tahir Hotel, Cairo

Security measures taken at entrance, friendly and helpful staff, Lamia in restaurant, Kristin and Donia. Big variety of breakfast offerings and tasty. It was a quite pleasure to receive couple of phone calls and a letter from Guest Relations asking about stay and if any help is required. Nice care about guests! Thanks!

Mr.Rezk was very nice and helpful all over the 3 nights that I was in the Hotel. He is really a smart guy. Ms.Riham is very nice as well. I hope yo visit in the hotel to meet her again.

Choice of food in the restaurant and quality was a little disappointing

I really loved the staff the most about the hotel - everyone was so caring and kind with my daughter Esmee, and treated us like family as we experienced a travel hiccup and had to prolong our stay over the holidays. The staff at reception, the morning breakfast staff and the bellman and lobby staff were just wonderful. And so were the cleaning staff! Can't speak highly enough for their professionalism, kindness and humanity.

All good and worthwhile

It was my 3rd time to stay in this hotel. The service was good. The staff is very helpful and friendly and they asked manytimes if there is anything we need . My wife was feeling cold, and i told the hotel, and they immediately sent a heater to our room. Breakfast has a lot of variety . Overall, it's very good.

Hospitality and support of staff

Farida, Muhammad, Monica and management at Reception were fantastic. Haitham at the door was welcoming and always has a friendly smile. We loved this hotel and when we come back to Cairo we will definitely stay here again. There are far to many names to remember but every single staff member was fantastic and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious!!!

The wifi can be upgraded so that one can receive wifi by the pool area and at the front of the hotel when calling an Uber.

The hotel was great and provided a perfect one night stop for us in Cairo on our return leg to London. What stood out most of all was the customer service, assistance and energy of one particular employee. One of our group had left his wallet in our hotel in Luxor. Farida on the front desk checked us in and went over and above to help resolve the matter and proceeded to follow up with us the next day. The same friend was suffering from a cold and Farida also made sure he was as comfortable as possible for the few remaining hours of our stay. She really stood out from our whole trip to Egypt.

The rooms and the hotel is exceptionally clean and the ambience is amazing. Haitham the doorman is also really lovely. The buffet is spectacular. An awesome stay and I will definitely be coming back

Everything was amazing! For our first time in Cairo, we chose the right hotel for the stay. Breakfast is great with a variety of choices! The room was impeccable, clean, refreshed and spacious. The staff is definitely have to get a special Thank You as they were helpful, flexible with requests and always supportive! The location is awesome as well, right in the middle of the old city, you're maximum 30min away from the major "touristic attractions". When were back to Cairo, definitely this hotel is a go to choice.

Location was really good, room was very clean which finding a clean hotel in Cairo is a very hard job. The water pressure in bathroom was really good; receptionist and staff at entrance were really friendly and helpful. We had two rooms and we arrived 3 hours earlier than check in time but they kindly checked us in without us even asking for it. The hotel was very communicative and continuously was collecting the feedback from us.

Rooms were small and the room lighting wasn't adequate; it was very dark that I had difficulties to find my stuff for packing; the restaurant' staff had a minimum to zero level of English and were not trained for their job. Food and breakfast was OK but again restaurant staff were no well trained at all.

Our stay at the Steigenberger Tahrir Hotel was very pleasant. The hotel’s central location is ideal and makes it easy to explore the city. The service was professional and well organized. From arrival to departure, we were well received and assisted. The staff was kind, welcoming, and always helpful, which contributed greatly to the quality of our stay. Overall, the combination of location, service, and the friendliness of the staff made our experience enjoyable. We would recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay there again.

Excellent service overall. The staff are very friendly and attentive, especially Monica and Farida, who went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay and lacked nothing. Highly recommended.

The hotel was well run, very clean, comfortable and the staff was very helpful and professional. Breakfast was very abundant and everyone there very attentive. The room had a beautiful view and the hotel was well located in Tahrir Square to access most everything.

There is a lot of noise outside, but to be expected everywhere in Cairo. The bedroom and bathroom needed much more lighting.

Excellent location in Cairo. Walking distance to shops, cafes, restaurants. Clean hotel with very friendly staff. Small but cozy bar and pool on the second floor.

Rooms are a little cramped but comfortable. Breakfast was good with a good spread but they had the same menu everyday. But nothing really that we did not like.

Being able to walk to major sights and feel connected to the city adds real value to the stay and sets this hotel apart from many other options in Cairo. The staff are attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, from check-in to daily interactions, always ready to help without being intrusive. Breakfast is a highlight and well above expectations, with a generous, well-organized buffet offering excellent variety and quality, making mornings relaxed and enjoyable. Overall, it is a hotel I would confidently recommend for both leisure and business stays, especially for travelers who value location, comfort, and consistent service.

Fridge light flashed when the door was shut and 2 men came to stop it but they didn't do it so continued to flash annoyingly throughout my 3 day stay and I put cushions in front to stop it distracting my sleep.
