I would give Steigenberger Hotel El Tahrir a full score without hesitation. The location is simply unbeatable, right on Tahrir Square and directly opposite the Egyptian Museum, which makes it ideal for anyone who wants to experience Downtown Cairo properly without relying on constant transportation. Being able to walk to major sights and feel connected to the city adds real value to the stay and sets this hotel apart from many other options in Cairo. What truly elevates the experience is the service and breakfast. The staff are attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, from check-in to daily interactions, always ready to help without being intrusive. Breakfast is a highlight and well above expectations, with a generous, well-organized buffet offering excellent variety and quality, making mornings relaxed and enjoyable. Overall, it is a hotel I would confidently recommend for both leisure and business stays, especially for travelers who value location, comfort, and consistent service.

Fridge light flashed when the door was shut and 2 men came to stop it but they didn't do it so continued to flash annoyingly throughout my 3 day stay and I put cushions in front to stop it distracting my sleep.

I truly felt very safe here. The breakfast was amazing. The staff who worked the breakfast area were so professional and welcoming. They truly do an amazing job here. This hotel is pricey however for the safety and value, it’s worth it.

Although the hotel was in the center of the chaos that is Cairo, our room on the 8th floor was fairly quiet. The hotel has the sterile feel of most business hotels but the room was comfortable and spacious enough . The food at the restaurant was pretty good, although we did not have breakfast there. The price is high for Cairo, but it was the only decent option we could find at the last moment. All in all, I was satisfied and grateful to find a comfortable haven after an hour and a half drive from the airport amidst horrendous traffic (usually, it’s only about a half hour from the airport , I’m told.)

As I said, it was a fairly high price , but it was worth it to me.

I had a chance to stay at Steeigenberger as a last minute change in plans. They were very accommodating in getting me a room last minute on a very busy day after multiple hotels had turned me away. I was thoroughly impressed by the front staff and overall service that was provided. Ordered room service for dinner and breakfast, the food was incredible. I requested a late checkout as my flight had been pushed to a later time, they immediately got to work and granted me a very late checkout to ensure that I was well rested before my flight and didn't have to stagger around with my luggage in the city. My commendation to Farida, Hamza and Aseel for a phenomenonal customer service experience in making my stay an enjoyable one and working tediously to ensure my comfort. Highly recommend for your stay in Cairo. Will definitely return here on my next trip.

It's near busy streets so there's always a bit of sound that enters the room from the busy street. It wasn't much of an issue for us, but for sensitive sleepers it could be a problem

A nice hotel in a very central location in Cairo, just two minutes from Tahrir Square. A large breakfast buffet with plenty of options spotless areas and rooms very helpful staff and excellent service in all departments of the hotel with a strong willingness to assist you. If I visit Egypt again I will definitely choose it, both for the sense of security it gave me and for the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. We were leaving early in the morning and they prepared two breakfast boxes for us taking into account our dietary requirements.

The restaurant staff maintained a very serious demeanor during service, and a warmer, more welcoming/pleasing attitude with smiles would have enhanced the overall dining experience.

Where to start? This place has won our hearts ! The hotel is centrally located , safe and very clean. Every time we passed on the corridors we could actually see people cleaning. The rooms are wonderful and clean, daily cleaned and enough space for us and our child. The breakfast is very rich and caters for everyone and everything you might want! Besides the breakfast the food and drinks were delicious. We were greeted and chatted with the chef and he was a delightful man! The service in the restaurant and bars were excellent! Last but not least I must emphasise that our trip to Cairo was 100% better thanks to Hany Ahmed and his team, who helped us organise our days to Giza, the museum and many other. The driver Ahmed was a very friendly and polite man to whom we are grateful. Overall the people in this hotel are the no1 reason to stay! We cannot wait to go back ! Thank you for everything!
