the best place to stay in Cairo, the rooms are super clean & wonderful every room is different, the Le Riad Stuff is amazing everyone is super helpful and friendly

Le Riad is a wonderful boutique suite hotel in the Islamic District of Cairo. We really did not want to stay in a high-rise style hotel along the Nile and preferred a place with more character and color. Le Riad fit the bill. The suites are really spectacular. Huge and very well appointed. Sitting areas, balcony over the street and a lovely bathroom. Breakfast on the rooftop was glorious. The souk is a few blocks away and it seems that everything is happening on Muei Street. A lot of action. We had dinner at the restaurant on the roof which also was excellent (no alcohol). The neighborhood is interesting and fun. Lots of shops and restaurants and lots of people.

These are not complaints but merely warnings if you stay there. Two things. First, Le Riad is very expensive. The facilities are worth the expense however. Second, Muiz Street outside is extremely loud. Maybe because it was a Thursday night when we stayed (same as my Friday night) but the music and party started early and went until 2:30 am. While loud, we expected it and it didn't bother us. If you are sensitive to noise, bring ear plugs.

Location perfect to explore souks and mosques and a short cab ride to anywhere in the City. So good we came back for our last night in Egypt, having stayed there when we first arrived! A joy to stay in.

Staft and accommodation, cousin and hospitality

The name says it all…this hotel is so charming. Located in the heart of the oldest area of Cairo it is bustling and lively with so much to see and do. The hotel itself is a slice of Egypt and the staff is incredible. I highly recommend if you want to FEEL like you’re in Egypt you stay here.

The location could not have been better. We absolutely loved it as well as the beautiful room, the kind service and the lovely roof terrace.

really nice and big rooms, exactly as the pictures. we went ton eid so the streets were a bit noisy but we didn’t have issues with sleeping. the restaurant upstairs is good, nice breakfast and good service.

The hotel was full of beautiful antique-style furnishings. The suite was large with a separate sitting area, an office, a walk-in closet with mini fridge, plus the large bedroom with its own sitting area and spacious bathroom. The hotel is right on a busy pedestrian street in Islamic Cairo, so the sights and sounds of all the shops and cafes were amazing but it was not quiet. However the double glass doors of the suite kept most of the street noise out. The staff were very helpful. Meals on the rooftop restaurant were very good, but alcohol was not available.

An absolute gem of a boutique hotel in Old Cairo. Cannot fault it on anything - highly recommended! Sincere congratulations to all the staff in this great hotel.

No adverse comments at all - one of the best hotels in which I have ever stayed.

Multi-room suite beautifully decorated. Lots of character. Right in the midst of Islamic Cairo so interesting sites near enough to walk. Roof-top restaurant charming. Calls to prayers. Egyptian cafe music. No doubt we were in the midst of real life Cairo. Plus…Remarkably wonderful staff!

a bit expensive noisy at night due to surroundings if you prefer calmness but it is part of the experience though.

The most incredible part of stay was the breakfast For the rest, the room are not at the level expected A lot of noise at night, very hard to sleep after 2pm

The location is in the heart of the bazaar, easy to walk around, and touristic. The deco is quite exotic. The front desk people are very polite.

1. We had a suit, but the furniture is actually quite old and dirty inside the room unlike the picture. 2. The hotel's post machine only accepts Egyptian currency and they're following their own rate by calculating by their way, they charged us 100 dollars extra than what we have booked on booking. This is very tricky. Better to pay by cash if you have. 3. The breakfast: it is small set menu, if you want anything extra, you have to pay a ridiculous price. i.e. 2 boiled egg for breakfast is 140. 4. There's no service, such as if you want to book a car, or tour, they're not very informative.

the property is cute and the location is nice to be in the market

impossible to sleep from all the street noise, the wifi didn’t work. but mainly it’s just not worth the money. It’s a 2/3 star hotel priced higher than a 5 star. no amenities. impossible to get luggage to and from. unless it was priced at a third of their rate I wouldn’t stay there again.
