Callas House, Budapest

Gorgeous hotel, a real hidden gem in a fab location! We were staying as part of a group so got to check out a few different rooms and they were all fab! The rooms with terraces are amazing - some great views over Budapest!

Authentic with good air conditioning. Room design upgrades true to the hotels history Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Evening meals were very good. Attentive staff

Breakfast was mediocre with limited choice. Yoghurt and milk needed to be chilled. Morning staff in restuarant a little abrupt

Very centrally located, next to Opera House. Housekeeping staff very hardworking and room perfectly cleaned daily during our 3 nights stay. Breakfast available and have good choices

Our room was beautiful and have a lovely terrace facing towards the Opera house. The rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful, providing us with extra assistance. Location is great, next to the Opera house and metro station.

No lobby. For guests arriving early there is no waiting area and we had to go to a nearby coffeeshop to wait for the room to be available.

The location next to the Opera House was wonderful. The building was old and elegant and the breakfast room next door was fantastic . The staff member was so kind to us. I’ll always remember her

Very unique and awesome location. We had a suite and the balcony and views were amazing.

The suite was amazing. The outside space added to the special occasion of our trip. The staff were incredibly helpful. The property was located right by the subway and was in easy walking distance to all of the sights. If we came back to Budapest we’d definitely stop again

This is just a preference thing - breakfast for me was just ok however my husband really enjoyed the breakfast. It didn’t spoilt the trip and set us both up for the day exploring and sight seeing.

Beautiful period features, massive room and bathroom, lovely details like a coffee machine, and unbeatable location, 30 seconds from the Opera House.

Excellent location next to the State Opera House. Breakfast was in the cafe/restaurant downstairs, very opulent room, and lovely continental breakfast. The room was very comfortable, with quiet air-con, and even had a small sun terrace to view the Budapest skyline.

The best thing about Callas House is the location. Easy to walk to the Basilica, Fashion Street, great food nearby in Liszt St. and right next to Metro stop to explore further, like to the thermal baths etc…

The breakfast was average. Surely an egg could be poached fresh rather than sitting. Poor selection of fruit & no bacon☹️ Our room was spacious & lovely. l think tissues could be provided in the room, none in ours. Towels were thin & looked well used, time for an update!

Callas House is a lovely old building. Our room was beautifully furnished. We had a view to the Opera House next door. We could open our windows, however it was too noisy to leave them open. Thankfully, the double glazing worked a treat! The gorgeous bathroom had a bath, which is always a welcome luxury. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and top end clothing shops. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

A lounge area would be great where you could sit and chat and not be in the bar.

Waitress and breakfast was a bit grumpy, also maybe some flowers in the main entrance would be welcoming.

Classic building & old world charm. Loved the history. Within walking distance to many attractions. Comfortable clean room with a view of the opera house. Stunning! Wonderful cafe and breakfast.

Superlatives! The design and all the details are gorgeous, they do justice to the building and its surrondings. Friendly and helpful reception team, clean, spacious room, comfortable mattress, well-equipped bathroom, and the location could not be any more central. You can adjust or even switch off the aircon if it's too much. I have not tried the breakfast and only stayed one night so cannot comment on food or room service. There is a Marshall amplifier in the room to which you can connect your phone. If you are not tempted to put on a Callas aria (or whatever you like) while absorbing the beauty of the avenue and the Opera bathing in evening lights, then you are better off in a holiday inn.

It was very nice hotel room, lots of space and clean.

Obstructed view on the balcony was the only thing.

Hotel was in a good location with lots of restaurants nearby. The staff extremely friendly and helpful.
