Great location

The hotel is in a neighboring building to the Opera House. It occupies the third floor of the building. There is an elevator. Friendly staff. Very clean. In the room Nespresso coffee machine, 4 capsules of coffee, tea, honey, bottle of mineral water 0,7. Breakfast is simple and it is included in the room rate. There are comfortable slippers and bathrobe. Thank you hotel management for the opportunity to be a guest of your hotel in January for a very nice price. And now I have a favorite hotel in Budapest where I would like to stay again and which I recommend to others

Couples weekend away, arrived late in the evening but well received by the receptionist who took us to our wonderful room. We stayed in the ‘superior room’ with balcony and it was magnificent. The design was gorgeous and the furniture was of good quality and robust. We requested some extra services from the reception (e.g extra wine glass/ironer) and were quickly answered and accommodated. The balcony was a nice touch but because of the high walls we had little view of the street. The breakfast was included in the price and while the callas café’s design is very beautiful, the staff working there was negative, cranky, and unhelpful and the food was stale and the coffee machine was bad. I would recommend booking without breakfast and enjoying your breakfast in one of the many cozy cafés in the area (for the same or less price). On our last day, the receptionist also kindly organized our trip to the thermal baths while we could leave our luggage behind. Overall, great stay in this unique and exceptional hotel.

Nice room in a boutique hotel on the 3rd and 4th floor of a classic appartment building (though there is a lift). Staff were very helpful and spoke very good English. Well located with M1 underground just outside as easy walking to most of the sites. Breakfast is available by using the restaurant on the ground floor. Bathroom was clean with lots of hot water. Air conditioning did not working (not on - although it was April) but the large windows opened allowing fresh air into the room. Feels a bit like a private room/appartment as once you have received your key you dont need to pass through reception to access the secure area for your rooms.

Shower was over Bath and we prefer a stand alone shower (minor).

Very kind and helpful staff. The only improvement I wish for, is more breakfast choice / home made instead of heated up and perhaps some pre cut fruit and not just a bowl with fruit, fresh juice was missing. And it would be quite good to access the breakfast room from within the hotel building without having to exit the building and walk to the other side outdoors. We were blessed that it was not raining.

The room (deluxe with balcony) was great and the the location excellent. Breakfast was good and covered all the bases (cold and hot food).

The heating / aircon due to the age of the building wasn't very flexible. We had one exceptionally hot day and the room was very warm. that was minor and in no way caused a problem.

This is an amazing place to stay. Location is perfect. Staff go beyond with their service. Breakfast has everything you could possibly want or need and fresh every day.

Breakfast was great. Also the staff is amazing, they upgraded our room for free and were super helpful and polite.

herbal tea options would be nice, also we don't like nespresso but in general that's are just personal preferences, nothing bad about the hotel

The breakfasts were of poorer quality meats and cheese which does seem to be the european standard . I would've liked more hot food choices.( only Mini frankfurters and scrambled egg) Yoghurts were low fat not full fat but bread and mini croissants were very fresh . Coffee creamers in room were not very nice. Milk would've been good as would an ironing board ( iron provided) . Otherwise great!

The incredible fin de siecle/art nouveau/deco features of the room, from the period furniture and ornate window surrounds to the bathroom’s classic brass fittings — yet Callas House is completely comfortable and the staff utterly wonderful. It is also in a perfect location for exploring Budapest in every direction.

hello, room was very nice and clean but a little bit tight, beautiful bathroom, everything is furnished with taste. location is perfect and within walking distance to any attraction, breakfast was not so varied but everyone can find something for themselves. I recommend this hotel.

The hotel is at an excellent location, right next to the beautiful Budapest Opera with a metro stop next to it. However, don't let that stop you from exploring the city on foot. We found the staff very friendly, the room was beautiful and spotless and the breakfast was also good.

The pillows were very flat, that's a personal preference but I woke up with neck pain for a few days.

The hotel is very much central! Walking distance to amazing restaurants and shops, as well as the metro. The room and the bathroom is very well-designed. The breakfast options were limited, but delicious nonetheless. The receptionist is lovely and very, very hospitable!

Perfect place to stay in Budapest! Very good location. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Good variety at the breakfast in the cafe next to the main entrance of the building with an exception view on Opera and Andrassy street. Highly recommended.

A beautiful hotel, perfectly situated. Our room was exceptional and we couldn't find a fault anywhere. The staff were all so kind and helpful. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Our home away from home….we felt perfectly comfortable, every detail in the room met our needs. We’re not a fan of big hotel chains so Callas House was absolutely perfect….Beautiful and Elegant

Old style elevator, door access not always functioning, very low water pressure in the showers, a bit too dominant historistic look and feel; it is in the third floor of an old Palais, does not feel like a hotel, more like mini apartements with a small reception desk …

Hotel was spotless. Provided an adequate breakfast. Room temperature fine. Clean towels every day. The location is fantastic. Reception staff very pleasant and obliging.

Staff in the breakfast room sometimes a bit short with guests. Cleared tables quickly before we were finished breakfast.

Perfect location, comfortable and well designed rooms, boutique experience. We booked it for a weekend escape to see an opera, it was ideal for that purpose.

The location is ideal, and very imposing right next to the opera house. The building itself is beautiful, especially the cafe for breakfast. The shower is amazing with strong hot water!

The room was very very small (but nice and warm) and facilities were a little more basic/old than we expected (i.e. towels, tea/coffee, TV)

the hotel is part of a residential property and one needs to get out of the building in order to enter the breakfest area; it was a bit confusing to find the reception as it is at the 3'rd floor and it is not very well signed.

We liked the hotel very much. Very cozy and stylish rooms, equipped with all the necessary things:kettle, coffee machine etc. Quite good breakfast. The view over the Andrassy street is marvelous.

A wonderful old property right next to the State Opera House on one of the best streets in Budspest, Andressy Avenue. The staff were very welcoming, the room was warm, and spotlessly clean, with tea/coffee. Breakfast was superb. If you want an atmospheric hotel - this is it!

The towels weren’t as white, looked old and felt so rough on the skin. Made me wish I brought own towels.

Wonderful location and interior (art deco). The stuff was very nice, she gave us a small "tour" and a beautiful room with a magnificent view on the Opera.

The breakfast did not match with the experience of the hotel. It wasn't bad but it was just average....

Beautiful boutique hotel in 1880s ex palace. Fantastic location next to the Opera House, within easy walk of many sights, great restaurants and shops. Our suite was roomy, clean, perfectly decorated in keeping with the hotel with wonderful views over the city skyline. The icing on the cake was Marton, who welcomed us warmly and helped us with restaurant recommendations and much more besides.

Great location.. room great.. free toiletries provided met our needs.. room made up every day.. tea and coffee and bottled water replaced each day.. safe in the room.. speaking size bed.. comp Breakfast was good.. not a vast choice but for us to have a nice coffee, pastry/ toast was all we needed..

The room was very spacious and the location is ideal. You are practically staying at the center of Budapest where everything is within walking distance and most of the public transportation is right next to the hotel. The room was clean and the breakfast was excellent. The staff at the reception are very friendly and will help you with anything you need.

The sewer was sometimes giving a bit of a smell.

The location is fantastic. Near shops & restaurants. Maybe a 15-20 min walk to the Danube.

The mattress & pillows was quite hard.

Excellent location, very kind staff, comfortable bed, overall feeling of the quite unique place.

I did overheated to my liking, but that is of course very subjective and nothing open window for a few minutes would not solve ;)
