Excellent location with large and well finished rooms. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was served in a nice little cafe downstairs with a view of the opera house.

We’re returning guests to Callas House and our experience was even better the second time! We really appreciate the thoughtful reception lady who provided excellent service (apologies I forgot the name). We got the same room like last time and all I can stay it was amazing! Highly recommended.

We took the suite (room 61) and it was so large! We loved the balcony overlooking the street and city. It was very cold but we did spend some time there, I assume that on nicer weather this is amazing to sit with coffee and a book. Room was cleaned every day and was very clean in general, well done! Location is great, just above a metro line (M1) and walking distance to Deak Ferenc Ter and to many restaurants/bars Breakfast is simple and good; don't expect huge buffet but do expect a good decent breakfast Lady at the front desk super-nice and friendly - we felt very good from the check-in to check-out.

Elevator is slow But really - nothing that I didn't like

The rooms are beautifully decorated and just what I was hoping for from a boutique hotel. The concierge was friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and extremely accommodating. The view from the windows was lovely, too.

I can't say that there was anything I didn't like. The rooms were very clean, and the linens were crisp. On our last night, we were not sure where to eat dinner, and the concierge made a reservation for us at an authentic Hungarian restaurant nearby.

Service and attitude in breakfast room

I spent a long weekend in this wonderful apartment (room no. 51) during my stay in Budapest, and it was truly exceptional. The location is exquisite, in a historic building on Andrássy Avenue, part of a World Heritage site. Having grown up in this neighbourhood, it was especially meaningful for me to finally see the inside of a building I had admired since childhood. The room, terrace and view were breathtaking. From the rooftop, you enjoy a panorama that is unique in Budapest — on one side, the Opera House and many other iconic landmarks unfold before you. The interior design and furniture, beautifully crafted in an Art Deco style, perfectly reflect the era when the building was at its most vibrant. I would love to return and spend more time discovering the many details of this remarkable place. The staff were extremely friendly, and a special thank you goes to the lady at reception, who kindly shared fascinating stories about the building, the neighbourhood and the rooms.

Callas House was ideal for our exploring of Budapest. It is situated on the beautiful Andrassy Road which is half way between St Stephens Basilica/Xmas markets/Danube and the other way is Hero Square and the Bathhouse - all walkable. The room was most comfortable including a nespresso coffee machine, housekeeping and a very comfortable king size bed! Breakfast was in the restaurant downstairs and delicious!

The balcony was so disappointing - I had requested the large balcony as in photo and got a tiny balcony The balcony was cramped and we were looking forward to a nice bottle of wine in the evening Few extra coffee pods for our three night stay would have been good

The room was excellent - old fashioned in a charming way - and was well provisioned and very comfortable.

It was surprising at first that the hotel did not have its own facilities for meals or bar and instead relied on the associated cafe/bar on the ground floor. The breakfast provided by the cafe was adequate but not great, and all service (including another coffee) terminates abruptly at 10:30.

Really liked the location of the hotel and the size/view of the room. Breakfast was decent and the hotel is close to everything, shops, restaurants, cafes. I really recommend it since the building is also amazing!

The only negative but minor is the bath that had no curtain and so it flooded the whole bathroom each time we had a shower. Breakfast could be slightly improved as well.

The hotel is in a very convenient location, and the rooms are spacious and beautiful. The staff was extremely kind, and we truly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.

Absolutely Epic Location, easy for all public transport and for walking to sights, shopping and Christmas markets. Breakfast was simple and satisfying. Staff were friendly and courteous.

The boiler went during our stay, it was fixed on the same day, but there was no alternative option given for showers.

The location of Callas House was great, not too far from the train station and just a few steps from the city center. The staff were very pleasant, which was really lovely, we especially want to thank Ildikó at the reception, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. I liked that the room was quite spacious and had a small balcony / terrace at the rooftop. Also, the room design looked really interesting. I lost and forgot my ring in the room, and the staff found it after I left and handed it in at the reception. When we returned in the afternoon to pick up our luggage, which the hotel kindly allowed us to store there after checking out, Ildikó from the reception gave it back to me. This should be standard everywhere, but unfortunately it isn’t nowadays, so I truly appreciate that your staff have the right values. Thank you! 🖤 The room had everything we needed and we enjoyed our staying.

For breakfast, we had to go to the neighboring building, which wasn’t really a problem, but the breakfast selection was very poor. We arrived an hour before breakfast ended, and there was almost nothing left. Fortunatelly I don’t eat a lot! 😃 The room was a little bit cold when we arrived, and we had to turn the heating on the air conditioner to the maximum and keep it running all night. I would say Callas House isn’t hotel, it occupied only two floors of the building and had no lobby, hotel restaurant, or bar. For such a short stay it wasn’t a big issuey. The price could have been lower, but maybe it was affected by the fact that the Christmas markets were taking place. All in all, I would still recommend it.

The property was beautiful. Lovely art nouveau decor. Room is very comfortable. Within easy walking distance to restaurants and attractions . Lovely continental breakfast in the cafe adjoining hotel, with some cooked food. Lovely staff everything was just lovely …..

Minor Minor technicality our amazing suite the shower Had no where to go so you couldn’t stand below it and shower. This wouldn’t put us off returning though. Just seemed strange not to have a standing shower.

In the reception, there is a need for a proper restroom.

The apartment we rented was beyond expectations, we have felt like royalty in it. We were not sure what was better, the bed, to rooms, the bathrooms, the staff or views from our balcony.

I would love to have more vegetables and fruit on breakfast, but on the other hand everything else was good

Absolutely beautiful and stylish room with nice view at Opera house. Very kind and attentive reception. Breakfast was basic but tasty, they offered lactosefree milk on request. It is served next door in an art noveau cafe place.

The hotel is near the Opera house, in a nice neighbourhood. It occupies 2 floors in a building, and the rooms are really nicely decorated and very large. The rooms were quiet, and it was a great stay.

Breakfast was good, and the restaurant looked nice. We also went there for dinner, and we felt the waiter was not totally straigthforward with the tipping practices in Budapest. We recommend finding typical restaurants in the neighborhood instead.

Location was great , literally in the city centre, close to all attractions, next to metro station. Rooms clean. Super quiet.

Room was a lot smaller than we think it will be , staff on the reception promised some Bluetooth speaker even we being given lecture how to use it but unfortunately speakers was not there 🫣😂😂, plus sink was broken 🤷 breakfast was pretty poor.

Callas House is next to the Hungarian State Opera and a 10 minute walk to St. Stephen's Bascilica. Also near a metro stop. The reception lady was very friendly and she also arranged for an early morning taxi to the airport.

The room was good but somewhat dated. Bed was rather hard and uncomfortable. Breakfast in the Callas Restaurant was adequate, but not remarkable.
