The staff was very helpful, and the location was perfect for us. Our double room was super comfortable and spotless - also very charmingly decorated. The whole hotel is well set up with good options for meeting others, food and just taking a break in the lobby areas.

the location and the conformtable of the hotel is very nice. But I could not book the breakfast included with my stay, so I have to pay separetly.

the wealth in this time is no too good to take a walk down the river. And the furniture some time should fix the broken one or you can change the new updated.

Some of the Henrietta's Table staff were not very professional. Undersized/over-priced pain meds at the :"boutique". No way to make tea or coffee in the room.

The room is wide and spacey. It has two stands for luggages. It does not have electric kettle nor coffee machine, but upon request the hotel provided us with electric kettle.

The staff from the front desk to the valets to housekeeping were attentive and friendly, and overall as amazing as ever. Our Great Dane felt especially welcomed. It’s also the perfect place to be for a regatta and to see our kid who goes to the local college just a few steps away. :)

Room, breakfast, cleanliness are the best.

Upon check in I found that the young lady that attended us at first said we did not have a reservatiion - but then I showed her our Booking.com reservation number and she accepted it. There were no apologies. The rest of the staff was very attentive, especially Mr. Jamil.

the breakfast and the restaurants are very expensive! way too high, had to walk around to find cheaper places! I would also rate the receptionists 7 out of 10. I felt like I am annoying them each time I come to ask a questions!😅 also by mistake they charged my room service for water, which I did not use. yes, they returned my money, but had bad feelings about it.

We ordered breakfast and dinner from Henrietta’s Table (and brought it up to our room as there is currently no room service) and it was outstanding.

My only disappointment was that there was no place to refill a water bottle. Plastic bottles of water were complimentary but a dedicated water cooler to refill one’s own water bottle would have been ideal

I love the Charles Hotel, which is why we come back year after year. It's the best location for Head of the Charles Regatta weekend, and walking distance to our daughter's dorm at Harvard. They welcome our Great Dane with open arms! And they got new pillows, which is the only gripe I've had in the past. Perfection!

The location is everything. Dean’s suite was roomy and clean.

a refrigerator would have been really great in the Dean’s suite. I also didn’t care for the blinds that divide the living room and the bedroom. the parking should just be included in the hotel cost and make it seem like it is free.

The hotel is very conveniently located close to the shops and restaurants in Harvard Square but a few streets back so that it is quiet. I enjoyed my breakfast at the hotel restaurant Henrietta's Table. I had a great view from my ninth floor room. Staff were very helpful and understanding; they organized a mini fridge for my room. My bed was very comfortable and my triple room was also very spacious. There were multiple power points in the room that allowed for easy charging of electrical devices. The bathroom was newly renovated with a classic look.

Fridges have been removed due to Covid measures so I was very grateful that staff were able to organize one for me to store perishable items such as fruit or leftovers.

The rooms are very small for the price and A/C was very weak in our room. The hallways felt better than the room. Sleeping comfort was not there.

I had made this booking almost a year before, once the dates for our reunion were announced. However, it was so full that I couldn't change the type of room into two double beds instead of one bed. I was told by the hotel that I have to redo the booking at booking.com which would have been impossible at that time as the hotel was oversold.

The proximity to Harvard University could not be better. The hotel is right in Harvard Square. it’s all about quiet luxury and comfort. I loved the all-marble-and-glass shower and the impeccable housekeeping service. This hotel is all about simple, quiet luxury. I always stay here and feel very pampered.

The Charles Hotel is a gracious hotel with a boutique feel, nice amenities and an unbeatable location on the Charles River in Harvard Square. We are a family of five with bigger kids and ended up staying in a spacious suite that was large enough for us to enjoy hanging out in our room when we wanted quiet down time. The lobby also has several cozy corners to enjoy. We also made use of the parking available, which was very helpful as relying on street parking is not an option in Harvard Square. The staff was very friendly and helpful with packages that arrived for us and other requests and the housekeeping was impeccable.

There was a misunderstanding about our reservation and we were initially booked in a room that did not have enough beds for us. This was despite our having called specifically to confirm that the five of us could be accommodated and having received reassurance that all was well. This resulted in some delays and awkwardness when we checked in and got to our room. While the staff was attentive in sorting our options, we were disappointed that no one offered an apology for what was clearly an error on the part of the hotel and resulted in our having to pay more for our accommodations then we were expecting. Everyone we spoke with clearly wanted to help and resolve the situation, but the lack of a simple apology was disappointing. Ultimately, we did end up in a perfect room for us and very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying at The Charles for future visits to Cambridge.

Cambridge is expensive and so is this hotel; not unexpected. Disappointed the Regatta Bar is still closed.
