Hôtel Burdigala, Bordeaux

The room was lovely, comfortable and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is within walking distance of the centre of the city.

I don't have any complaints about the hotel, it was great - we enjoyed our stay.

Central but quiet room

Nice modern clean hotel in a very quiet location. Friendly staff. A few minutes walk to the excellent tram system. 10 mins walk to the main shopping/restaurant area

The breakfast wasn't great. Not sure I'd spend the €22 on it. Seems like the cafes around don't open till 12. There is a boulangerie and a shopping centre nearby

Room was lovely & clean. We had breakfast included, would say the buffet was satisfactory, but could with a few more options, the availability of extras such as choice of eggs could be made more obvious.

I would just say the selection of items on the breakfast buffet could be greater, and mentioning more obviously the selection of eggs being available by even a simple menu would be nice.

Stylish and welcoming. All the staff had a polite and friendly manner and nothing was too much trouble. We loved the bar.

We had a very good stay at the Bordigala Hotel in Bordeaux. The room was comfortable and felt a bit like home, with simple and elegant decoration. The layout of the room was very well thought out and practical, with plenty of shelves even in the shower room which I really appreciated. The shower itself was excellent, and the free minibar was a nice gesture, even if there wasn’t much in it. The hotel is within walking distance of the city center and the river, which was very convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I would not say it is 100% perfect, but the small imperfections aren’t really worth mentioning. I am quite a picky guest and seldom give reviews but this hotel earned it! Thanks as well to the previous reviewers whose comments helped us choose it

Nothing - it was all good

Very good location, very good size and very clean bedrooms and Very Friendly staff.

Rooms located on the 1st floor and directly above the kitchen should be avoided: every morning at very early hours (before 7 am) there are lound repetitive noises (doors, cupboards) generated by the incoming staff. This was discussed with the Staff at the reception, who said the matter would be looked into and solved.

Housekeeping. We left from the room at 9 and returned at 2:30 and the nobody went to clean up the room. Unexceptionable for 5 stars hotel.

Parking facilities are not great for a larger car and valet service was not offered Checkin process meant we had to park in a bus stop and queue for some time to checkin and then access the carpark. Very stressful. Hotel restaurant fully booked and then closed 2 nights. I would expect hotel guests to have a restaurant service available in a 5* hotel. Bar food was good, but only snacks.

Before we flew to Bordeaux, the Reception Staff (Arnaud and Indira) were very helpful in organising our arrival airport transfer and a private tour of the St Emilion Vineyards. The welcome at the hotel was first class as was our room and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Burdigala Hotel.

Room was excellent, location short walk to city centre, staff were excellent. Would definitely go again.

We had a double storey room. Lots of space. 2 separate toilets.

Water from shower and hand basins was a bit sparse.

Few facilities that teenagers could use or to occupy our time when we were waiting for our late airport transfer.

The location suited us it took ten minutes to reach the main centre. Breakfast was a good selection.

The location was not exactly close to old part. Took 15 minute walk to beginning of old town. Hard in 100 degree heat.

Everything, room was very large with 2 bathrooms and wonderful. AC was strong and consistent, WiFi was strong and connected, breakfast was great, staff super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay with you more than at the Hotel de Palace in Biarritz

Nothing. But let anyone know who wants to go to a gym outside the hotel, that all are not opened to non members when they say they are. And the coffee cups in the rooms are too small to take the volume of coffee the machine extrudes leaving a huge mess each time used

The staff were lovely, always friendly and very helpful, especially the concierge who helped us organise a day trip to Biarritz. Everything was high quality, even the toilet paper. The room was a good size and so was the bathroom. The toilet was separate, which was nice.
