The Circus Hostel, Berlin

Location was fantastic with 2 tram stops on its doorstep and only a short walk from some great places to eat.

My bed's USB charging port didn't work so had to use a plug socket near the ground which was a little awkward as I was on the top bunk! Make sure the port works before you choose your bed. It can also be noisy if you are in a room facing the street so make sure to get some earplugs if you are sensitive to sound.

Although It's a mix dorm, It's a big room and of great privacy which you can see from the pic. Also you can ask for a female dorm. It's convenient to take public transportation from the hostel ( the bus stop is around the hostel) to everywhere

Perfect. The hosts are very receptive and nice people. It quickly starts to feel like home. Perfect for solo travelers, there is a nice bar downstairs. 10 out of 10!

The tours were great, friendliness of staff, good value for breakfast.

I expected a communal kitchen where we could cook, there was no frig in bedroom.

The location is convenient as there are U-Bahn and tram stations downstairs and the surrounding areas are safe. There is no kitchen but they provide electric kettles so you can make some hot water. The receptionists are awesome and nice guys.

I'd personally recommend spending a little more and upgrade to a room for fewer people. Also the number of hooks in the shower room is a bit too low so please bring as little with you as possible when you want to take a shower.

The Circus Hostel is a charmingly weird place with a brewpub in the basement and more David Hasselhoff than you're expecting. The breakfast buffet add-on is worth it, I think, and I'm not even a coffee drinker. If you're coming for the Berlin Marathon, it's pretty easy to get to the starting area from the hostel, and for your friends/family, the race goes right through the square at about the 9km mark, IIRC.

If you don't bring a towel, you can get one from the front desk... for 2 euro. Just give the people towels, come on now.

Clean and spaceous facilities!

A big hostel made it a bit hard to connect with other travellers compared to smaller hostels.

The circus hostel had a nice hostel atmosphere with very helpfull staff and room for social interactions. We had a room of our own, with own bathroom, which had all the privacy and no noise on the top floor. On arrival we immediately joined a guided (spati) tour from the hostel and met some nice other guests. We parked our car in the parking of the Circus Apartments just around the corner, and the hostel was very helpful. Of course we also visited the David Hasselhoff museum in the basemen :)

The location is excellent. You have a metro station and a bus station right outside the hostel. There are a lot of restaurants, cafes, and a supermarket in the neighborhood, so it's really convenient. I stayed in an 8-persons room. The room was big, and the bed was comfortable. The hostel has a really nice and safe luggage storage place. Plus a beer brewery and a mini museum. The interior design is modern and artistic. The staff was friendly and helpful.

My room faces to a busy street, and the traffic outside is very loud. The windows are made of good quality noise-cancelling glass, but you always have a roommate who wants to keep a window open...

loved downstairs, the cafe and breakfast were amazing. the comfortable chill lounge areas were comfortable and cosy, a very nice ambience. all the guests were really nice, so I think it attracts a good crowd of mixed ages. lovely downstairs, upstars

it said sound proofed, but certainly wasn't. very noisy all.night, fair as it was central Berlin, however, it did say soundproofed which it clearly wasn't. the dorm was jaded, tired and a little dirty (a whole family of dust bunnies live under the bed) The charge point beside the bed was coming off the wall. my charging cable became very hot. I advised reception twice, but no action, so I didn't use it.

Good location in a pretty cool neighbourhood with Cafes Restaurants and Bars and some retail right on the U Bahn Rosenplatz just two stops to Alexanderplatz - was comfortable and well designed and functional

Nothing in particular but they could offer Better Shampoo or Body wash to lift the comfort of guests a bit Also they could offer or introduce an earlier start on Breakfast at 7 am not 8am for many people are rushing to Brandenburg Flughafen

the staff is exceptionally friendly and the whole facility is very well kept :)

Excellent value for money. Nice staff. Good location. Clean rooms and facilities. You can leave luggage after check in.

There was no towels. A bit noisy.
