Hotel Stadtbad Oderberger, Berlin

The emplacement in an area full of bars and restaurants, but on a quieter road; the property within walking distance of an U-Bahn station; welcoming, helpful personnel; the soundproof windows that barred noise from the road; we had asked for a silent room, they took note of it and gave us one.

No complaints at all.

It’s in a neighborhood with lots of restaurants and small shops. The hotel is a former city bathing facility and is unique.

Great location, fantastic staff, really cool room, and we loved the pool.

A lot of stairs - could be a challenge for anyone with mobility challenges.

The property was contemporary classical style. Rooms were spacious and well equipped. Very clean. Nice area.

Not having a lift to the room but was advised of this when booking.

The staff on duty was helpful in making sure I got all I needed even a cup of coffee ☕ at 05:00 to get my day started. Above and beyond to make my stay memorable. It was a short stay but very relaxed. I also like that the room represents a well preserved piece of history.

Quite pricey. But there were little options for such a last minute stay.

We liked the pool and sauna.

The bed duvet wasn't warm enough. Everything costing a supplement, wasn't nice because the room is already very expensive for the amenities to get and asking a supplement for everything asked, isn't what we are used to: Eggs Benedict on the breakfast table; access to pool and sauna etc.
The hotel is too expensive in regards to where it is. Prenzlauer Berg is very far away from the city centre and the S-Bahn being interrupted because of renovation reasons had us to take the Taxi all the time. That made our stay far too expensive.

Service and environment are exceptional. The historic setting makes you feel stepping into history. The midnight pool experience was phenomenal.

No AC, however didnt have problem with it.

Loved the architecture and space of this hotel. Swimming pool was a fantastic bonus for a city hotel.

Cleaning staff gathered in groups chatting and on their phones, felt a little intimidating to walk past. They did not acknowledge when we said good morning and did not hold doors open when passing through before you. They seemed to skulk around. The reception staff were friendly, polite and very helpful.

We enjoyed our stay, the size of our room, the high ceiling, the newly renovated big shower, the breakfast (with gluten free and vegan options) and the staff was very friendly

It is August and we had very hot days so the lack of AC and the noisy ventilator were a downside for that stay

Location was amazing, super friendly staff, beautiful romantic building and the pool is beautiful. Amazing shower.

As the pool + sauna is open to the public is gets very busy - maybe it would be nice to have hotel guest only times? The bed was also only average (but I might be bias as I hate the two single beds together north europe style). The room got very hot, fans are provided but are ultra loud - A/C would be way better.

the building is exceptional as are the staff. However at €400 a night to then be asked to pay for the swimming pool is absurd

The hotel policy of charging money for all extras. We came to this pool because of the pool - to then be asked to pay to use it is ridiculous.

I stayed in a “tower studio” and it was very nice in all respects.

Cold water in a pool. I didn’t like old tiles in a room

Beautiful large loft apartment with large floor to ceilings windows. Fantastic to be so close to the in door swimming pools and spa/sauna. Fantastic neighbourhood for easy meals out, many Asian restaurants, and tram access. I liked that if you opted to not have your room cleaned for the day you could get a pool access voucher, a drink at the bar and /or a rubber bath duck and/or plant a tree.

I felt the front desk staff were polite and efficient but lacked warmth. I stayed at the hotel for a week and felt no connection with anyone at all on the premises.

Breakfast good but very expensive.

The property was so beautiful and really well maintained. Amazing location in terms of local amenities, but also super handy for public transport. Our room was the smallest on offer I think and it was so spacious and perfect for our short city break. All members of reception staff were so helpful and made every aspect of our stay easy. We added the breakfast on to our booking which was such a good idea. It was very delicious every day, and again breakfast staff were super friendly and helpful. Absolutely loved our time here, would come back without hesitation.

Hotel Oderberger is in an excellent neighborhood with restaurants, cafes, and shops right out the door. Main feature is the gorgeous swimming pool which comes with sauna and spa amenities for a small fee. Front desk staff were top notch, very friendly and accommodating of any request or question we had.The breakfast is also A+.

Our room had a loft with a low ceiling so had to be careful when standing up. Also annoying to have to go down to the bathroom in the middle of the night. There was also no sofa to truly relax, just a pair of hard chairs so the room was not a place to hang out.

Unique property in a great location with a spacious room with upstairs and downstairs.

The check in staff failed to advise the pool had a function and was not available for 2 days of our stay. Hence, we missed out on using the reason why we booked this hotel. Also, the bar was not available due to the event and requiring staff. Hence, another disappointment.

Location fabulous in the heart of a bustling former East German district . Surrounded by bars and restaurants . Walking distance to a metro stop and the wall memorial. Staff friendly and welcoming. Room very comfortable and clean. Pool looked amazing but check when available as not available for 3 of the 4 days we were there.

Ceiling low in the mezzanine of the ‘maisonette suite’ . Adjoining room audible due to wooden floors.

A spacious and historic building that has been restored and brought to life. It has a beautiful bar with lovely service and an impressive indoor pool. Breakfast is excellent and the young hospitality staff at breakfast were friendly and professional

All guest information about the hotel, it’s facilities and the area is on an iPad . Ours was not working, we notified the reception and they said it would be fixed the following day - but it wasn’t- intact they seemed to have no record of the problem. Consequently we didn’t know about the hotels facilities or what restaurants we could find in the area ( there was no in-house restaurant)
