Beautiful old home and great space. Staff was very kind and helpful. Spa was relaxing. Breakfast was delicious. Suite had separate space for our son. On site parking.

Used to have the coolest and most awesome staff in Berlin and the location is awesome… the new rooms are good, but the over all management situation in the hotel is a very sad reality

We have stayed at this hotel many times, it used to be one of our fav in Berlin… even of they were booked out for our dates, we always made sure to come over for dinner or at least drinks and coffee… we absolutely LOVED this little gem… sadly can’t say that anymore after this trip. The new owners (management) are doing a pretty lousy job and it’s definitely no longer a 5 star experience. The staff that has been there for a very long time (such as the gentleman at the front desk that has worked there for 30 years, and Toni) they were fantastic as always and went above and beyond to apologize for all the inconveniences and try to make us feel welcome (people that worked here were the 70% of why we always came back here) … but the overall feel of the new staff is cold and borderline Rude! Upon check it late at night, I was greeted with a front desk person who didn’t even say hello back and informed me he was sick… and then asked me “you are late! what happened?!” That’s just BIZARRE!! Restaurant wasn’t open, no room service, breakfast buffet was not open for half of our stay… no clear communication between the staff and the management… so it felt like no one really knew what’s going on (whats open, whats closed and when). The lady working the pool / spa area made is feel very uncomfortable and pretty much kicked us out of the sauna at 7:55pm, because it closes at 8pm “and she wants to go home”… if the new management doesn’t realize they are killing this amazing special place and do not start paying attention to whats going on… this place will not survive… which is very sad when you start loosing your loyal customer base such as us…

There was some confusion in the restaurant service before New Year's Eve. It was not operating in the evenings.

Exemplary welcoming and hospitality from monsieur Levon. We haven’t felt so well taken care of in a very long time, if ever. The room was classy and incredibly spacious and the overall cleanliness was flawless, something rare these days, it could not have been better. The on-demand scrambled eggs and omelette at the breakfast buffet egg station were prepared in perfection from the talented, kind and smiling chef. Can't remember having a better omelette in my life. The Christmas decoration was elegantly beautiful.

Excellent location if you want to stay in a quiet location. The property is just a few stops from the city center. The hotel is dog-friendly and the Grunewald dog park is close.

A very beautiful and atmospheric place. My husband and I stayed for just a day to change the scenery a bit, as we also live in Berlin. The hotel staff is wonderful—very friendly, open, and responsive. It even lightened the atmosphere of such a posh place :) There’s a clean, almost empty pool, and a nice, soft sauna. The fireplace lounge is lovely, where you can enjoy some wine and a light dinner. Breakfasts are good too—they have everything you need, even a smoothie juice press!

What we didn’t like, unfortunately, there were a few things: In our room, we found someone’s sock and a key card, which raises questions about the quality of the cleaning. However, we didn’t find any shower amenities at all. There was only hand soap and, oddly, body lotion, but no shampoo or shower gel—nothing. Overall, there was no tea or coffee in the room, only water and glasses. Honestly, we expected a little more from a hotel of this level. We had a great, big TV, but it couldn’t connect to Wi-Fi, so we couldn’t use the smart TV features.

Very polite staff, supreme location, and beautiful interior. I will definitely stay at this place again.

Lenor (concierge) was hospitable and incredibly knowledgeable. The room was beautifully designed along with the rest of the hotel! We loved the restaurant and bar as well.

Sauna wasnt on, and the room i booked was changed. I particularly booked a room with 2 beds as was travelking with my daughter, and got a room with one bed. Still a lovely room though.

A stunning hotel in the suburban "Grunewald" district, which we were lucky enough to stay in "out-of-season" at a very reasonable price. The area has some embassies nearby and some very very big and grand houses too. The hotel is even grander. The rooms and facilities, breakfast, everything, were just superb. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and absolutely everything was catered for. If you are used to staying in a chain hotel, then this is a very different experience, unless you frequent super-expensive chain hotels. The ante room to the breakfast area is a sight to behold. The location was perfect for us, as we were working nearby, but for central Berlin, it isn't so convenient, but a 10 min walk will get you to the SBahn Grunewald station - and there it is fast into the centre. We arrived by car, and on-site parking is a bit limited (if you can find a space between the to range Mercs, BMW, and Porsches, grab it), but you can easily park for free on the roads around (be mindful of the high kerbs however!). Eating in the area is very limited in scope, but if you have a car, then a short 5mins journey will take you to some very nice restaurants which stay open till about 11pm.

Access to parking I guess, but the ability to park on the road after you off-load your luggage is perfectly adequate.

The luxurious touches in the rooms and the pool and fitness centre.

The breakfast started at 8:00 am and not 7:00am.

Yes there were some things that seemed outdated, but that should be expected in a historical property.

Quality of food and accommodation

Awful Costa coffee cups and coffee itself spoiled the luxury experience and poor choice of food at breakfast. Staff has little knowledge of local amenities…

Indoor heated pool, breakfast with good choices including a fresh juice squeezer and omelette station, bedroom had good air con. Good value for a family of three.

Some maintenance needed in areas - shutters, wood surrounding windows and umbrellas in terrace area were a bit dirty.

Breakfast was amazing ( 5 star )

2 rooms with 2 A/C units with 2 thermostats. 1 A/C only blowing air but not cold 1 A/C not working at all Hotel offered to fix it for the 2nd. night but was not done. Mini Fridge had a freezer compartment. Freezer compartment was full of ice buildup, I cleaned freezer with the hair blower for about 20 minutes and removed excessive ice to be able to use the freezer. This freezer compartment had not been serviced for a long time by housekeeping is my guess. There were no curtains to make the room dark, only some sheer curtains that let the light through 100%

I'go here everytime for the sumptuous breakfast and 24×7 friendly service

Superb hotel, classical style, large and comfortable room. Large bathroom, no shower cabin but shower in the bathtub. The spa is very nice, with a swimming pool large enough to swin in and a big sauna (84°C). The hotel restaurant is ok, but nothing exceptional, with a somewhat limited offer.

Breakfast only available from 8 am. Nice buffet, with sparkling wine and macarons but surprisingly no eggs ! There are hard-boiled eggs in the buffet, but if you want any other kind it's a 10 euro extra fee. Weird... The hotel is located in a residential area in the suburbs, very quiet but a bit remote from the city center. And if you're looking for an alternative to the hotel's restaurant, be prepared to walk for a while.

Everything was incredible. Amazing old mansion turned into a hotel.

The only thing was the shower was a little small and did not have great water pressure. A very small thing considering how great the hotel is.

Amazing stuff, very friendly, helpful, and professional. The hotel is in an impressive, beautiful, old castle-like building. The pool and the sauna were great. The hotel is far from the center but in a very interesting part of Berlin.

The breakfast buffet is okay, nothing exceptional. Dinner in the hotel was overpriced for what it was.

Positives: Design Cleanliness Comfort

Negatives: No coffee/ tea in the room No shampoo, no personal care products The music in the bar was very loud. Until 2am in the morning, our room vibrated with the bass and high sound.

The hotel property is exceptionally beautiful and well designed. Staff was attentive and professional. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and it is easy to get to city center. Food was wonderful and overall, our stay was enjoyable.

There was an event transforming the hotel into a club atmosphere one of the nights during our stay. The music went very late. We were not given warning until the day of and of course we would have stayed elsewhere had we known. While guests of the hotel were “invited”, we were also expected to pay the table bottle service fee, and it was very clearly for youth…so invited but not. Just check for any events scheduled before booking.

The hotel is beautiful especially the restaurant and bar area. Pool is nice and clean, my daughter loved it.

Room is not well maintained but nothing really critical. What I found annoying was the fact that the only way to black the windows out was to use ad-hoc pieces of plywood that you have to put every night in front of the windows. Another thing that was quite unpleasant was that the restaurant one night refused to charge the bill to the room because the "system" changed overnight not allowing anymore to charge bills to rooms. The day before was working fine and was charged to the room but the day after I had to pay by credit card. Honestly that's the first time travelling around the world that I experience such service.

Everytywas perfect! The staff kind and friendly, our puppy cocker spaniel was also taken care of. We loved the design and the atmosphere .

Large, comfortable room, quiet, leafy location but just 5 min drive to Kudamm. Great for kids, with a swimming pool and other families staying to make friends.

Beautiful hotel with everything one would wish for a visit to Berlin. Great room with every possible equipment, pool/ spa area, nice breakfast restaurant, bar with great drinks and snacks/ food. Very friendly staff.

Here and there the hotel could visually be in a better shape and the some of the staff members didn't speak either English nor German. It didn't disturb us.

The spa and pool was closed which was annoying as it was part of the reason for booking this facility to begin with. Also personally I love my privacy while using the toilet, so having a bath in the middle of the room is great. Having a toilet with a see through door that doesn't block anything.. not so much.

Nothing, just our recommendations: I would recommend to change the quality of sweet bakery at breakfast and also add some greens (lettuce leaves, spinach and etc.)

Beautiful hotel, nice bar and good food

We didn't get the room we booked and was moved twice before it was comfortable. Water in the shower in all rooms was very poor, either ice cold or boiling hot and very difficult to control with low flow.
