Hotel Stadtbad Oderberger, Berlin

Beautiful large loft apartment with large floor to ceilings windows. Fantastic to be so close to the in door swimming pools and spa/sauna. Fantastic neighbourhood for easy meals out, many Asian restaurants, and tram access. I liked that if you opted to not have your room cleaned for the day you could get a pool access voucher, a drink at the bar and /or a rubber bath duck and/or plant a tree.

I felt the front desk staff were polite and efficient but lacked warmth. I stayed at the hotel for a week and felt no connection with anyone at all on the premises.

Stunning hotel with great facilities. The staff is excellent, really friendly and helpful. The pool is amazing, all The facilities are great. My room was gorgeous, really comfortable and quiet, very spacious too. Perfect location. Looking forward to being back in the autumn hopefully

Interesting hotel.

Lights in the room did not work consistently. Also, due to the hotel having been an old bathhouse, the layout of the hotel is a bit unusual, but at the same time interesting.

The property was so beautiful and really well maintained. Amazing location in terms of local amenities, but also super handy for public transport. Our room was the smallest on offer I think and it was so spacious and perfect for our short city break. All members of reception staff were so helpful and made every aspect of our stay easy. We added the breakfast on to our booking which was such a good idea. It was very delicious every day, and again breakfast staff were super friendly and helpful. Absolutely loved our time here, would come back without hesitation.

Hotel Oderberger is in an excellent neighborhood with restaurants, cafes, and shops right out the door. Main feature is the gorgeous swimming pool which comes with sauna and spa amenities for a small fee. Front desk staff were top notch, very friendly and accommodating of any request or question we had.The breakfast is also A+.

Our room had a loft with a low ceiling so had to be careful when standing up. Also annoying to have to go down to the bathroom in the middle of the night. There was also no sofa to truly relax, just a pair of hard chairs so the room was not a place to hang out.

Unique property in a great location with a spacious room with upstairs and downstairs.

The check in staff failed to advise the pool had a function and was not available for 2 days of our stay. Hence, we missed out on using the reason why we booked this hotel. Also, the bar was not available due to the event and requiring staff. Hence, another disappointment.

Location fabulous in the heart of a bustling former East German district . Surrounded by bars and restaurants . Walking distance to a metro stop and the wall memorial. Staff friendly and welcoming. Room very comfortable and clean. Pool looked amazing but check when available as not available for 3 of the 4 days we were there.

A spacious and historic building that has been restored and brought to life. It has a beautiful bar with lovely service and an impressive indoor pool. Breakfast is excellent and the young hospitality staff at breakfast were friendly and professional

All guest information about the hotel, it’s facilities and the area is on an iPad . Ours was not working, we notified the reception and they said it would be fixed the following day - but it wasn’t- intact they seemed to have no record of the problem. Consequently we didn’t know about the hotels facilities or what restaurants we could find in the area ( there was no in-house restaurant)

Lovely spacious rooms, very friendly staff both at the front desk and at the bar. Lots of great restaurants in walking distance and perfectly placed for exploring the rest of Berlin.

Very nice staff, we arrived a bit early but they found us a room that was ready. The room was clean and comfortable, but didn't spend a lot of time there. There was a tablet in the with some Berlin-info which was nice! The hotel lies close to a tram station and a metro station is not too far away.

The room was a bit pricy but we feel it was worth it for a nice hotel. The breakfast was good and had the standard things you would expect, but it was arguably a bit expensive. I feel like the TV was missing a guide, it was hard to find anything not in German.

The swimming pool was not available and this was very disappointing, since it was one of the reasons for choosing this hotel. It would be at least a gesture to discount the price in such a case.,

The room is amazing, it really adds to the room keeping the old details of the old bathhouse. Being a little shorter i loved the mezzanine bedroom, those over 5ft 10 will need to remember to duck. The refurbished pool is stunning and recommended. The area of the hotel, although quite far from Mitte, is in a great area, we found the KulturBrauerei easily and were able to use the scooters to get where we needed to go, the UBahn is also just a short walk.

It can be expensive - We didn't have breakfast as we were on the road early but at €25 pp its expensive. There is no air-con, in the summer heat this may be an issue There is not way to tell if there are events booked in the pool hall before you arrive

The location was perfect for me, as the venue I went to for a concert was only 3 minutes away. Good connection to go to the city centre in 10-15 minutes Nice building, staff were nice.

The breakfast was ok, but for that price I was expecting more options.

If you are tall, don’t choose the « maisonette « as the ceiling above the bed is very low so that you will have to bend yourself and try not to bump your head against the ceiling Fortunately the management accepted to change my maisonette against a regular apartment for an additional 10€per day

Breakfasts excellent. Location excellent. Very clean. Nice atmosphere. Staff pleasant.

Pool not open during our stay which for me was a major disappointment. Music in the bar was too loud and not nice. Soft music would be more appropriate in that bar.

The history of the building. Fabulous breakfast in a great restaurant. Very calm and pleasant outdoor area. Loved eating a leisurely breakfast on a warm summer's morning in the centre of Berlin. Staff are hard working, efficient and pleasant. Our room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels and bed linen. We simply love this hotel. A bit pricey but well worth it. Loved the touch of little gifts being left in our room as returning guests. We now have quite a collection of Oderberger rubber ducks!

Disappointed that the swimming pool wasn't available again. Technical issues after an even in the pool area when we visited in April resulted in the pool not being available. Unfortunately when we visited in August the pool was closed for annual maintenance. Seems a strange time in the year to do this. The middle of summer when guests would welcome a cooling swim. Hopefully it will be open in December when we next visit.

The room was lovely and very quiet, had a very good rest in this place. I loved the hotel overall, very creative repurposing of a former bath building.

Our second time staying at this hotel. This time in a double comfort room (previously in mezzanine room). Lovely large room, comfortable bed, clean and large bathroom and shower. Windows opened and there was plenty of light in this room. The reception team are all great, very helpful and friendly. The bar is a lovely space. And the outside area is stunning at night with the gorgeous lights. Great drinks and service. The area of Prezlauer Berg is my favourite part of Berlin. The buzzing atmosphere at night, the amazing choice of great restaurants and bars. Summer nights sitting outside is unbeatable. Also lots of choice for breakfasts in the morning. The location is walkable distance to the centre of Berlin, or a quick tram ride away.

Breakfast at the hotel is lovely but it is pricey. Both our stays we had the hotel breakfast for one morning and then then went out to eat locally. When we stayed last year the swimming pool, the centre point of the hotel was closed. So we were disappointed when again, this stay, the swimming pool was closed for maintenance. The hotel did warn us a few weeks before and offered us free use of the sauna. It's an incredible pool, maybe one day we'll get to enjoy it.

the location can't be any better. Perfectly connected to the public transport network. The hotel bar is awsome and offers delicious drinks.

Beautiful restored baths, interesting from architectural and historical perspective. Comfortable room with mezzanine area for bed. Well located for travel into Central Berlin if you are happy to use public transport.

Breakfast was extra and quite expensive if you wished to take it.

Great hotel stay. I was here for 3 nights and it was perfect. Ideal location and the room size was perfect. Nice separate bedroom space upstairs and then lots of space below. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again

What’s not to like

Lovely hotel in a great location near the city centre. Good sized room, staff were helpful and friendly and the buffet breakfast was great with an excellent selection of food.

No air-conditioning in the room, which meant windows had to be open which meant noise (especially on Saturday night) disturbed sleep. Hotel stayed this is being fixed long term so shouldn't be a problem once resolved.

Great location near to public transit and many cafes and shops. New tech features in the room made it easy to stay for four days.

The two-level layout was okay, but included a very steep set of stairs to reach the sleeping area. It required focus and care to ascend and descend.

Excellent in parts. Fabulous old building brilliantly converted from the 1902 Pberg City Baths to a decent hotel. Nice atmosphere. Friendly and super helpful staff. Good beds, linen etc. Great location. Cozy bar.

The pool was closed due to an unforeseen problem. Happens but annoying. More annoying was the lack of an offer of discount; free entry to the spa didn’t really cut it because we thought that that was included anyway. Very expensive breakfast, not worth the money.
