Hostel Casa Gràcia, Barcelona

The beds are very comfortable and sturdy so you don't feel you are in a bunk bed.

Not much of a social vibe, it doesn't have that homey feel of a hostel. Comfort could be increased with curtains on the beds.

We were delighted with the property especially the location. It was so convenient to everything, restaurants, cafes, stations, buses, taxis, main attractions etc. In fact it was located in one of the up market shopping areas in Barcelona. We were pleased with our double room also and of course the facilities in the property e.g. the restaurant, the bar and the breakfast in the mornings. We would definitely recommend it.

Location was brilliant, staff was very friendly. Bed was very comfortable.

The room was very minimal - lack of space to store belongings. The shower pressure was low.

The location. The shared female room was nice.

The facilities, kitchen area, and lower level lounge need a deep clean. The chillout area on the 1st floor is only open until noon. It is one of the nicest places to be, but people are not allowed in after 12.00. In the rooms, there are no hangers, wardrobes, or shelves to put your things on. Only one drawer with no lock per person. You need to leave your stuff on the floor. Also, the mattresses need a change.

Bathtub leaked on the top side when taking a shower as the plaster was broken. Water has an odd smell and left a residue the one time I tried taking a bath. Water pressure in the mornings was weak and sometimes cut out, probably because of the top floor room and many people using the water supply. Cleaning was a bit inconsistent, sometimes the towels weren’t properly changed a few times.

Great location, beautiful rooms and building including vintage elevator. Nice to have communal kitchen and courtyard. Room was small but very clean and decorated beautifully.

Staff not helpful or particularly friendly, couldn’t answer questions about what to do in the area and upon check in gave us no information, (ie about the courtyard, kitchen hours, free coffee/latte machine which we didn’t know about) just handed us our keys. Communal kitchen was missing mugs, library / sitting room was only open in the morning and closed after noon which seemed pointless as most people want to sit and relax in the evening.

Everything's amazing. It is close to the Diagonal metro station, merely a walking distance of 4-6 minutes,close to Sagrada Familia, park Guell and many bus stops are there from where buses can be availed to visit all other touristic attractions in Barcelona. The staff was very amicable.

The breakfast was paid for while booking. Their menu is the same. I would recommend them to have at least some non-vegetarian meat options which include only chicken or mutton or lamb. There are many people who travel to Spain and stay at Casa Gracia from India. Many Indians do not eat beef and ham due to religious reasons. They can prepare a time-table for breakfast, for instance, on Monday they can have X, Y, Z food items for breakfast while on Tuesday they can have A, B and C food items on the menu, and so on. I have had their monotonous breakfast for 4 consecutive days. I had to, because while booking, I had already paid for them.

It was a nice historic building typical of Barcelona. The room was quiet and clean, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The online check-in process was smooth and sped up the check-in time for me. Overall, the location was excellent, which was more than sufficient.

I got an electric shock when I touched the bedside lamp.

Take into consideration that it can be noisy from the traffic if you choose a room with a view of the street. We didn't mind it though. It would be more comfortable if the room had some table or more closet space.

- absence of locks for the lockers in the shared room and impossibility to borrow them at the reception - an old window to the main street so that you can hear outside noises (but not very disturbing actually) - there are cheaper hostels in Barcelona centre

The bed was too narrow, almost I fell off.

The breakfast was really good and they were plenty of different choices. The room was bigger than we expected and we were so glad about that. The beds were too comfy as well. The vibes in this hostel are so nice and the people too!!

Amazing location, basic but clean room, good facilities for travelling with a little baby (terrace, "relaxarium", kitchen, changing table in foyer loos etc).

We had to move rooms halfway through our stay and it's a pity they weren't able to help us with our bags. Other than that no complaints and we will stay here again

The location is near the city downtown and Sagrada familia. You can get any type of public transport nearby. Also you have sheets and towels included in the price and also shampoo in the bath.

They don't have a padlocks and I had to search everywhere nearby. They can just rent you one or sell.

The room for 6 bed is large enough to have a really good conversation with rest of the travellers. The room is clean daily and provided with 2 sets of towels. The area was also very accessible with metro and other public transport. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

Maybe sort out the shower head as it’s leaking.

Property is in Calle Passeig De Gracia with a close proximity to the Diagonal metro station and to attractions like Casa Mila & Casa Battlo. Room was really clean and the bed was very cozy.

The hotel is clean, the location is great. The hotel is located right next to the metro. For three days we never used the metro, you can walk everywhere. On the first floor there is a kitchen where you can cook your own food, drink coffee or tea, there is also a small garden where you can sit. Overall, a cozy and good hotel.

Before arriving at the hotel we received a lot of messages (phone, email and booking) to check in online, despite the fact that the first message was answered that we would check in at the hotel, and after their third message we wrote them again that our check in would take place at the hotel when we arrived. Despite this, they continued to send us messages. To be honest, this irritated us a little, after all, we had paid in advance for booking a room at the hotel.

Sharing rooms, noise during nights, no privacy

We stayed in a four mixed bunk bed room. The room were spacious, it was also equipped with ensuite bathroom. They also provided towel, which is really nice. The location is perfect, right in the middle of city, near the metro station, and also we can visit down town by foot. Also had a very fascinating lift.

The light in our room was really dark. The picture showed a bright white furniture, but the room was not well lit at all. Secondly, they had electrical sockets for each bed, however the positioning were really uncomfortable as they were way on the top, far from the bed, making it impossible to use and charge the phone at the same time.

The location of the hotel is just near the metro station. The hotel room is spacious and clean. The staff is also helpful and accimodating

The room lack of table and a much spacious cupboard where we can place our bags and other belongings. It also doesnt have chairs.
