Hostel Casa Gràcia, Barcelona

Great location, hop in bus stops near by. Towels and bed sheets changed every day. Comfy beds, we got bed topper as we requested to have single 2 persons bed.

Rooms are very small, could be already upgraded: room walls look dirty, chair with spots. Could be some small chairs in balcony to enjoy the view. Some nights people was knocking our door (as its hostel lots of young people walking around in the night).

A great place to stay, friendly and comfortable. There is a wheelchair friendly bathroom and toilet and a lift. The lift isn't that big so you would need to ask for dimensions. The, rooftop area has a tropical vibe and the kitchen is homely and has everything you need. My first room 204 I think, was impossible to sleep! The hostel was really nice, just make sure you don't get the rooms that are located right where the cleaners park their huge trolley that carries sheets and towels, They work all night long cleaning the 100s of rooms, there is endless banging and rumbling that vibrates through the floors and walls that even earplugs can't block out! Also, the window opened onto a dark central space where there were lots of plumbing pipes so all I could hear all night was toilets being endlessly flushed. I like the place but just be really clear about requesting a room away from the trolley storage point. I asked to be moved as I was sleep deprived, I waited 4 hours for the new check-in time, which is normal, but the woman had put me in another room, but she didn't check and it was an identical room! So I made a complaint. I was then put into a stunning apartment with views and a bath in their hotel next door! So it was a mixed experience! From the worst to the best! I can't remember the name of the amazing person who gave me the beautiful room otherwise I would have mentioned him.

Choose outer rooms as they will be quiet , avoid the inner room as the toilet plumbing flushes all night and the trolys are loud.

The property was very well located. We checked in at one building and then walked down the street to where our actual unit was located.

The actual unit was in a separate building without any front desk. The same key card was used to access safety doors and the front door and the room.

The location was amazing. Lots to do within walking distance.

The check in process was a bit disjointed in terms of handling guests in arrival order and providing clear instructions.

My room was like a cell: one small twin bed and a padded stool. The windows looked out on an air shaft (and into other rooms), the bathroom had an open shower in the corner and a slippery floor… and no drinking cup. Based on the posted photos of light, airy rooms, I was disappointed.

The location was great, staff were excellent.

There were no mugs and no spoons in the communal kitchen - a constant issue. The fire alarm went off and the main door was closed - this is a fire and safety hazard.

To be honest nothing but we left with a cut in our luggage when we collected it at the storage. There were no cameras which I strongly suggest to install as we don’t know who did it because there were no evidence but the staff was apologetic. The security couldn’t do anything because it was done at the storage but the position of our baggage was different too when we collected our bags. Please install a camera.

Everything is available here: a kitchen, a bar, spacious public restrooms, and a fantastic location. The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming, making the stay truly enjoyable.

Unfortunately, the lack of staff during shifts is very noticeable, and the waiting time, even just to ask a question, is quite long. The reception staff were not very helpful, but Carmelina was absolutely lovely and always ready to assist with a smile.

Casa Gracia is in the perfect location, extremely close to the metro, very easy to either walk or catch a train to the Gothic Quarter. The staff at the front desk were very welcoming. The buffet breakfast gives you a good start for the day, however the staff weren’t as welcoming. The restaurant, Oasis, next door is very good, great menu, only downside is that if you’re a non smoker and want to enjoy sitting outside, you have to share it with the smokers, sadly that’s everywhere in Barcelona, they need to take a leaf out of Australia’s book. Would recommend this hotel for its convenience to the main attractions of the city.

The lack of hangers in the wardrobe, size of the soap (it just last lasted our stay!) and the beds should have mattress protectors.

Conveniently located near metro, had elevator, super clean, great common area, kitchen and terrace, super awesome staff and great district. Highly recommend. Ticked all the boxes and then some. Room for 4 beds Had great space and good layout. Restaurants right out the front door. Airport tube takes you to front.

This was the second time I stayed here. The staff were always very kind and helpful. I had a nice room – clean, with a double bed – which I really liked. .....

..... However, the air conditioning wasn’t working properly; I didn’t even turn it on, yet it was making noise and dripping water.

Stayed here before and returned because we loved the location, our balcony room/view and the fact there are fridges/a communal kitchen and a pretty rear terrace. Also, friendly helpful staff, with a shoutout to Jean-Pierre who sorted out our room assignment (we’d requested a twin but was initially given a double). Charming historic building that has been nicely renovated with some funky styling. Note: there are two spiral staircases that weave around quirky old mirrored lifts that we loved but might be a little too old and creaky for some :)

The aircon in our room (502) was noisy and not up to the job. As we'd already changed rooms and been put in the last Twin available, we put up with it but I'm not sure I'd risk returning again during a hot month. FYI We had no issues with the aircon during our last visit (on the 6th floor) so perhaps we were unlucky this time with an older model. Also, we were originally given a room on the 1st floor and that aircon seemed to be working fine. The other grumble is that there were never any mugs, cups or glasses available in the kitchen, not even cardboard cups. And just one kettle!

Great location on the Passeig Gracia. Good size rooms. Luggage storage available. Friendly staff.

The mattress condition was unacceptable. I could easily feel every spring in the mattress which made for some poor sleep. Other than that, the experience was great.

Simply that in dormitory bathroom was difficult to monitor for cleanliness and consideration of other dorm occupants

Lovely and helpful staff, they gave me an upgrade which I was very thankful for. In a perfect location to get everywhere easily and quickly. Very nice and clean room and bathroom with good air conditioning.

There was a constant noise in the room 24/7 which was very loud and the pipes smelt in the bathroom. It’s also very noisy with doors etc banging all night.

Very good location for shopping and seeing architecture. Beds were very comfortable and the hostel room had a proper bathroom which was nice.

The elevator in the property is very old and it would sometimes not come. This happened on my checkout day so I had to lug my suitcase down the staircase which was quite narrow.

Good location, big room for a party of 5 we had 6 beds in the room, comfortable beds. Metro only a few minutes walk.

Check-In took me close to 2 hours. There was only one person at the reception, we showed up around 3: 30 and a lot of people are waiting in line to check in. No supplies in the room like a kettle or glass, No chairs or table in the room to sit and eat.

Location was good. And the view as well. Staff at the reception was a bit rude. But we had a problem with electricity, i contacted the property in watsapp and they responded quickly and helped to solve the problem.

The elevator was out of service mostly. We had to go up to the 5th floor by stairs very often.

Casa Gracia was very clean and well organized.

İts better to match same gender more possible in the same room. İt could be more confortable…

I could not find water in all place. I tried to buy in two different machines inside the hotel and lost money.. then the receptionist said I need to call the machines’ owners and I needed to go outside to find the supermarket at 23 p.m

The location, different common spaces available to guests, the old elevator, the design of hallways and the design of the bonk beds.

The beds dint curtains or separators so that you have more privacy. The reception should mention at the check in or on the FAQ should mention that they do not have locks to rent and that hosts need to buy from a shop or have their own. The backyard garden closes too early.

I left cash in my wallet in the room. When i came back from a day of exploring the city some of that money was gone and my bag was moved (when the room was getting cleaned) i then wrote a complaint to the hotel but they never responded:(

The front desk were super friendly! The art deco design was really pretty and the drink vouchers were a really nice touch.

Room 315 air conditoner makes a very loud noise intermittently that is very startling and woke us up multiple times during the night sleeping. I'm sure the air con needs to be serviced and will soon fail because of this rattling noise. We were getting ready to leave at 10:45 10:50 to check out and the cleaning staff repeatedly knocked on the door despite the do not disturb sign which was frustrating because we felt pressured....

It was a very nice and beautiful hostel. The room was clean with its own bathroom for 4 people in the room. Mattress was comfortable. Staff was super helpful and nice.

Ahh, only that there were no hangers for cloths.

There was a problem in our booking and Yvonne solved it perfectly for us! She made us feel very welcome and safe :).
