My recent stay at The Luxury of the Lancaster was truly memorable, not just for its amenities but for the exceptional humanity displayed by the staff. I had the pleasure of staying in the premiere suite, and I was genuinely impressed with the spacious apartment-like decor. The highlight was certainly the incredible whirlpool tub, which came with stunning views—perfect for relaxation. One unique touch that stood out was the Phai Lin welcome tea, which added a special atmosphere to my arrival. The doormen were consistently attentive, ensuring my bags were handled, doors were opened, and I was greeted with care as I came and went. During my stay, I extended my time there twice, despite having other options available. The experience at Lancaster made it an easy choice for me. Although my final days had some hiccups, the staff's responsiveness was commendable. They handled the situation with professionalism and grace, making sure to do everything possible to turn my experience around. Overall, The Luxury of the Lancaster has left a lasting impression on me, solidifying it as my top choice for future visits and a recommendation for my family and friends.

The hotel deserved a really good rating. As soon as you entered the hotel there was an element of elegance. The room was spacious. The bathroom was extremely clean and included a large bath if required. The facilities at the hotel were extremely good including the gymnasium sauna steam room and pool. The club lounge although not particularly busy was a nice location to enjoy a quiet drink and snack during the day/evening. If I was traveling back to Bangkok, I would certainly have no hesitation in rebooking this hotel, and it deserves a rating of nine out of 10 .

Musty smell in the room. Had to push the AC for 24h to get rid of it. AC could not be set up to appropriate temperature (too cold).

All staff were very approachable and helpful, with beautiful smiles. Food was great, and the room was clean and very comfy even for 3 adults :)

Firstly I'd like to say that this is an excellently presented hotel, and makes a very grand welcome from the moment you walk into the huge atrium lobby with all its gold fashioned cladding, and you're greeted with a smile. The hotel room was an excellent size and the bed was relatively comfortable, it had a particularly large bathroom which accommodates you with a standalone bath tube or standalone shower (which you'll need after trekking Bangkok). Rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels, sheets, water as required etc. The hotel has restaurants, bar, pool etc and everything you could probably want should you never want to leave the hotel. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the MTR blue line which basically connects you to the whole city in someway or another, and only a 30 minute taxi journey from the airport.

1.) I didn't realise a 5,000 baht deposit would be taken on arrival, staff asked for a credit card, which I wasn't keen on as I would have been charged transfer and currency conversion fees, so they do take debit card (wise card in my case) which I already had baht on and was taken from my account (but returned swiftly when I checked out to be fair), I'd of rather it was on a hold so I could still use the money. 2.) The room as lovely as it was was quite fusty from the moment we got in, the air con helped, but you couldn't ever get that feeling of slight dampness away from the room (this could just of been my room 828). 3.) The mini bar is rather expensive (I get that it's probably always the case in such hotels) but 130 baht (£2.96 GBP) for a can of coke was a bit outrageous, especially since the 7 Eleven across the road is 19 baht (43p GBP), but again this is probably the price of convenience, just a little high when compared with what's around you (I would have used it if the prices had been more reasonable i.e £1.20). 4.) You will hear traffic all day and night, but this is more a Bangkok thing as you never don't hear it or smell it.

Amazing breakfast, not the widest range of food available but certainly very well picked. Family room size and layout, with two bathrooms. All clean and tidy. Staff welcoming and caring. True 5* experience without spending a fortune. The sauna in the Spa suite was cherry on top. Plus the location for us was great, shopping malls nearby, public transportation as well in walking distance.

It was very comfortable and well appointed and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I couldn’t fault them or the hotel. If we are ever back in Bangkok we will definitely stay here again.

The staff from the front door to the front desk were very welcoming and professional. Congrats on hiring friendly people who are good at their jobs! I hope you pay them well! LOL! The room was super comfortable, shower was excellent, bed was perfect, view was nice and open to morning light. The Club Lounge upstairs was a very quiet, laidback place with nice canapes and cocktails.

The hotel was beautifully decorated and the rooms were very comfortable. The staff were very attentive. The gym has all the equipment you could want - the best I’ve seen in Asia. There is also a great view from the rooftop pool and bar.

The staff were super, especially one of the men who controlled the cars in and out of the hotel, he made our day when he was there! And the doormen. The room was serviced every day and was big and comfortable. Plenty of drawers and a large wardrobe. Iron , fridge, hairdryer, shoe horns, umbrella and dressing gowns supplied in the room. Lots of bottles of water were left every day. Slippers were provided but looked used and both pairs were big. .

The charge for laundry was excessive, therefore we never used it. The bar was expensive, the only 'coffee' in the room was Nescafe - awful! A terrible map (waste of time) was supplied by the hotel, not enough information given for anything. Like the TV, what was around the area, the fact you could get a tuk tuk ride to the station whenever you needed it, not just when you had checked out with luggage on the last day which we understood from the notice in the foyer. The bathroom was badly designed - mind your toes on the glass toilet door! The bath was too deep for us to use - we"d never have got out! And the bizarre see-through window to look in and out of the bathroom was a weird addition to the room. We stayed in a small hotel in Lampang that had better TV than the Lancaster. Lampang had a smart TV, something we would have expected in a so-called five star hotel. We don't have TV at home, so watching a film in bed on holiday is a special treat for us! The iPad next to the bed was slow and a nuisance with the messages it sent every day. When you leave the hotel, turn right and the MRT station is 10 minutes away at the next junction on the right, but the road to it is like all city streets - very polluted and very noisy. The area is not very good, but if you go towards the MRT, use the footbridge about 150 yards from the hotel (there is a 7-11 there) and walk along the other side, there is a great office complex, the Singha Building, and inside are several coffee places and good breakfasts are available at the organic shop or The Coffee Club or Get Fresh where the Europeans seem to like best. From there you can use the subway to the MRT station.

Staff members were friendly, helpful, and nice. The hotel itself was amazing. Very spacious rooms, huge , comfy bed. Little oasis and peace in the middle of Bangkok. It's a perfect starting point for your adventure to explore the city. The rooftop pool and jacuzzi are very inviting and never was crowded.

There was some sort of issue with the Air Con, as I had to stop it due to a electric click noise it made at night which was quite low and it sounded as if it was shocking something in the wall.

Was very lucky to get this lovely hotel at a discounted rate for our 3 night stay in Bangkok. Very nice attentive staff who spoke good English and went the extra mile, such as one lady named Dream on reception who overheard us discussing where to go first after checking in and she gave us a map of the immediate area around the hotel as well as a great detailed printed map of Bangkok which was better than the Lonely Planet map I had bought in the UK before travelling! Huge room with twin large beds, robes, slippers, with two armchairs and a small table as well as lots of counter desk space for anyone who might need to work while staying there. large modern bathroom with bathtub and separate large enclosed shower. The infinity pool on the 12th floor is quite small but looks nice and offers good views (we intended to use the pool and spa but didn't have time in the end). One evening we did have a few drinks in the rooftop bar on the same floor, which was quiet and relaxing and not too expensive for a 5-star hotel. The hotel's location is good as while it's on a very busy main road, it's a short walk to the nearest MRT metro station and only one metro stop the BTS sky train interchange at Asok, making it very easy to get around a lot of Bangkok by public transport. I would highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay here again.
