Ulysses Hotel, Baltimore

The location was very good, within walking distance to the train station and the harbor. The staffs were very friendly

The light was a bit dim, and the black-colored toilet made it difficult to tell if it was clean. The ceiling of the bed was a bit uncomfortable for me.

This is a cool, quirky hotel in the Mount Vernon area of Baltimore. It's well located for the main train station, and within walking distance to many sights. The hotel bar has great cocktails!

It was so hot in our room with no way of turning the heat down unfortunately. Also the mirror placement made it hard to see yourself in the low lighting of the hall

The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was a great mix of being modern but also in keeping with the historic feeling of the building. The nice products and soft towels were appreciated! The historic building and neighborhood was wonderful. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. It was lovely.

The staff was so friendly and lovely. The hotel itself was gorgeous and an amazing value for the cost. This will be a go to anytime we need some time away.

The room and décor are amazing and feel very special. The place is small but full of character. The staff were incredibly friendly, despite a large wedding party vying for their attention.

The room was not ready at the time of check-in, and the downstairs bar had a slight odor. Additionally, the drink I had was not very good. I did not finish it.

There is so much attention to detail here, in all the ways they make sure guests feel not only safe and comfortable, but also valued and shown beauty. We loved the design, all the beautiful textiles and tasteful maximalist elements. The hotel's signature line of shampoo, soap, lotion etc. is excellent and just another unique, thoughtful touch, especially at such a reasonable price point. We would definitely stay here again!

I loved everything!

Gorgeous hotel, incredibly thoughtfully decorated. No detail overlooked. The rooms are cozy and staying at the Ulysses is a magical experience.

Cafe for breakfast was very comfortable and inviting, only baked goods and drinks. Many restaurants within walking distance. Great location for tourists, right on bus line, several cultural institutions within walking distance--especially The Walters.

Being treated better at check-in and before arriving. It would have been good service to have been automatically told how the elevator worked, seems every guest had to clue each other in. Hard to locate phone number online to contact hotel beforehand, none on website.

I loved everything about this hotel - the room was comfortable, the furniture, details, decorations and interior design were simply splendid. I wish I could've stayed longer! I've never vibed so much with a hotel!

I didn't have the breakfast - when I asked it seemed like there wasn't many vegan options so I opted for a nearby café instead. Not a big deal, but if I have to comment one something maybe that could be improved.

A perfect spot! Loved the location and the decor. And every staff member we interacted with was awesome. And the room was incredibly clean and the bed was so comfortable. A+ stay.

Just the parking situation. It wasn't a deal breaker of course but having to move the car in the morning to not pay a lot fee was a little annoying.

Adorable room in a quirky and cozy space!

I’m unfamiliar with Baltimore but thought the location was great. Not in the city center (which felt pretty bleak for a weekend) but close by with restaurants and bars a skip away. The property itself is gorgeous. We love the bars, the attention to detail, for having a more maximalist decor with so many crooks and crannies for dust to settle, the place was spotless. We loved our king room with a view of the city. The bed, pillows, linens and zero street noise were fantastic. The bathroom was fun. Our bathroom had windows so I didn’t experience the dim lighting others have commented on. The staff is amazing. It was my partner’s birthday but we had to come to town for a funeral. Everyone we met was so helpful and kind. From the Ash bartender making a special cocktail, the bloom bartender making conversation and providing a tasting of a recipe he was working on to the front desk staff, the manager and even one of the chefs (I assume from his top) made the day a little less glum. Circumstances made my first trip to Baltimore a little less than ideal but Ulysses made the brief time we had to ourselves pretty special. Free coffee and pastries in the morning were unexpected pleasures too.

No onsite parking but it’s a city and we found street parking right outside. Had to pay the meter a couple dollars by 8am but it was super convenient.

Oh my gosh!!! The cutest hotel ever! And right in the middle of Baltimore! I had a great stay! I love the thought that went into everything about my room and the hotel itself :)

No fridge in the room so my leftovers went bad.

Really comfortable bed; exceptional staff! The toiletries they provide in the bathrooms are also excellent.

(Not even a criticism, really: The lighting is a bit dim but to be honest I thought this fit in well with the overall vibe of the hotel anyway.)

Really funky decor and fabulous staff!

Every detail was so beautiful, so pristine and had great quality. Not a single thing was made with cheap plastic, everything from furniture to decorations were genuine good quality items. Good sign hangers on the doors, well tiled bathroom, great light fixtures. No ordinary boring hotel, so unique and great service. Staff was so so friendly!

I was in the King size bed room, and my only complaint is that the bed took up most of the room. It's probably because it's a historic building and the rooms may be generally small, but it was manageable for a short stay for me and my friend.

The hotel is very eclectic and unique in a good way. The decor is old and modern at the same time. The soaps and lotions smell amazing. I will definitely be staying here again. The location is within walking distance to many great restaurants and about a 7 minute Uber drive to the harbor.

Room was well-designed and very comfortable. It was quiet despite being in a busy area. The WiFi was strong and the staff was very helpful. Within walking distance of food and shopping. Excellent value.

The communication via Booking was a little slow. The reservation took a while to process when I showed up.

First, the hotel itself is quirky and beautiful. Our room was spotless. The housekeeping staff deserves alllllll the kudos. Second, the location is absolutely wonderful. One day the restaurant across the street had musicians outside, and the most beautiful melody could be heard in our room- but at a soft and relaxing volume. Lastly, everyone single employee I encountered was amazing. As someone who ran a boutique luxury front desk for 5 years, I can say with 100% certainty that my check in experience with Katia was phenomenal. She was genuinely kind to myself and my family. I didn’t catch the Night Auditor’s name, but he was very friendly as well!

Great location and staff. Beautiful neighborhood. Walking distance to the Walters Art Museum, the Lyric Theater, and Meyerhoff Hall. This is a very interesting hotel. In a very old, solid building with an interesting history. Retro decor, and very comfortable. Very quiet despite being in the city. Great bar, too!
