What a FABULOUS hotel with an AWESOME staff!! From the moment I checked in, the staff was on it. Extremely smooth check in. Very helpful at answering questions and fulfilling requests. The hotel is impeccably clean. My room was spotless. The hotel itself has so much character and charm it’s hard to take it all in. The food onsite was top notch.  They are centrally located within walking distance to any nightlife activity you may want to partake in. My entire stay was FABULOUS!! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Baltimore area. I will definitely be coming back to stay again. Thank you for an awesome trip!

A perfect spot! Loved the location and the decor. And every staff member we interacted with was awesome. And the room was incredibly clean and the bed was so comfortable. A+ stay.

Just the parking situation. It wasn't a deal breaker of course but having to move the car in the morning to not pay a lot fee was a little annoying.

Adorable room in a quirky and cozy space!

I’m unfamiliar with Baltimore but thought the location was great. Not in the city center (which felt pretty bleak for a weekend) but close by with restaurants and bars a skip away. The property itself is gorgeous. We love the bars, the attention to detail, for having a more maximalist decor with so many crooks and crannies for dust to settle, the place was spotless. We loved our king room with a view of the city. The bed, pillows, linens and zero street noise were fantastic. The bathroom was fun. Our bathroom had windows so I didn’t experience the dim lighting others have commented on. The staff is amazing. It was my partner’s birthday but we had to come to town for a funeral. Everyone we met was so helpful and kind. From the Ash bartender making a special cocktail, the bloom bartender making conversation and providing a tasting of a recipe he was working on to the front desk staff, the manager and even one of the chefs (I assume from his top) made the day a little less glum. Circumstances made my first trip to Baltimore a little less than ideal but Ulysses made the brief time we had to ourselves pretty special. Free coffee and pastries in the morning were unexpected pleasures too.

No onsite parking but it’s a city and we found street parking right outside. Had to pay the meter a couple dollars by 8am but it was super convenient.

Oh my gosh!!! The cutest hotel ever! And right in the middle of Baltimore! I had a great stay! I love the thought that went into everything about my room and the hotel itself :)

No fridge in the room so my leftovers went bad.

Really comfortable bed; exceptional staff! The toiletries they provide in the bathrooms are also excellent.

(Not even a criticism, really: The lighting is a bit dim but to be honest I thought this fit in well with the overall vibe of the hotel anyway.)

Really funky decor and fabulous staff!

Every detail was so beautiful, so pristine and had great quality. Not a single thing was made with cheap plastic, everything from furniture to decorations were genuine good quality items. Good sign hangers on the doors, well tiled bathroom, great light fixtures. No ordinary boring hotel, so unique and great service. Staff was so so friendly!

I was in the King size bed room, and my only complaint is that the bed took up most of the room. It's probably because it's a historic building and the rooms may be generally small, but it was manageable for a short stay for me and my friend.

The hotel is very eclectic and unique in a good way. The decor is old and modern at the same time. The soaps and lotions smell amazing. I will definitely be staying here again. The location is within walking distance to many great restaurants and about a 7 minute Uber drive to the harbor.

Room was well-designed and very comfortable. It was quiet despite being in a busy area. The WiFi was strong and the staff was very helpful. Within walking distance of food and shopping. Excellent value.

The communication via Booking was a little slow. The reservation took a while to process when I showed up.

First, the hotel itself is quirky and beautiful. Our room was spotless. The housekeeping staff deserves alllllll the kudos. Second, the location is absolutely wonderful. One day the restaurant across the street had musicians outside, and the most beautiful melody could be heard in our room- but at a soft and relaxing volume. Lastly, everyone single employee I encountered was amazing. As someone who ran a boutique luxury front desk for 5 years, I can say with 100% certainty that my check in experience with Katia was phenomenal. She was genuinely kind to myself and my family. I didn’t catch the Night Auditor’s name, but he was very friendly as well!

Great location and staff. Beautiful neighborhood. Walking distance to the Walters Art Museum, the Lyric Theater, and Meyerhoff Hall. This is a very interesting hotel. In a very old, solid building with an interesting history. Retro decor, and very comfortable. Very quiet despite being in the city. Great bar, too!

Beautiful old house with lovely bar. Nice neighbourhood with good restaurants and the Mount Vernon just 2 blocks away.

Lighting is more about setting a mood than functional. I went up the road to work in a cafe rather than in the room.

It’s a beautiful step into the past. You can tell it was glamorous in its heyday, and many of the original features are maintained, like the gorgeous mosaic tile floor. The staff were all excellent. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything I needed and was elegantly decorated.

I’m only guessing, but It seems like they are doing whatever they can to hold onto the antique furniture in the foyer and lounge even after it’s badly damaged. To hide the damaged furniture, the lights are down so low you can’t see to read a paper. Parking is also an issue.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The design is super fun and leans into an opulent deco look and the Bloom bar is excellent.

Loved the atmosphere, decor, and room amenities. The room was small but well-appointed and comfortable. Had a nice continental breakfast in the restaurant which was beautifully decorated as well!

The property is really lovely. So many unique details. Really comfortable beds and very charming way of creating a wardrobe/hiding the television. Especially appreciated the heavy curtains that covered the slatted blinds - other hotels on our trip had the same blinds, which absolutely do not block out the light, so we couldn’t sleep in those places. The curtains over the blinds were just the right solution for light/privacy.

A couple of disappointments: in the morning, we were up early and went down to breakfast, but they had no breakfast. It was unclear whether they had run out or what had happened (also, poor communication), but we had planned the start of our day around that, given that there wasn’t an easy option nearby. Parking during the day was easy at the lot caddie corner to the hotel, but when we asked for advice on where to park overnight, the man at the front desk directed us to another lot nearby that felt very unsafe - there were no lights, no security, no cameras, no view from the street. If I had been alone, I’d have been angry to have been sent to a dark, deserted spot at night. The speakeasy is adorable but was SO loud. We left because the decibel level made it unpleasant and impossible to have a conversation.

For a business trip for one week having no « real table » to work on a computer was a bit a « back breaker ».

I did not eat at the location. I loved the unique design elements at the hotel and the attention to detail. The staff was quite helpful.

I didn't like that there was no fan in the bathroom and the front door was very difficult to open - especially when managing luggage at the same time. Hopefully the door issue is an easy fix.

I did not like not being able to make the light in my room brighter.

The theming of this hotel was impeccable. The photos honestly made it look slightly creepy, but I trusted the views, and they didn't steer me wrong. The restaurant inside the hotel is also a really nice spot, and very convenient

I do wish the room had a mini fridge or a microwave to store the food.
