We loved everything about it, from the big specious room, to the great service we received, we had a wonderful stay

The only downside would be no elevator, but other than that it was great

Beautiful boutique hotel, great staff, comfortable bed, excellent shower. Breakfast was also very good. Staff was since and helpful. The location is great as well, very close to many sights and restaurants/bars, be just far enough to be completely quiet at night. Highly recommended!

The first picture here on booking, is really putting us off of coming and I think google also has it. Please do change it. It doesn't give the feeling of the house at all

Beautiful and spotless. Easy to walk in central Athens. Modern but classy. Very friendly, made us a quick breakfast to go when we had to leave before it was to be served.

Some might have trouble with stairs. They did deliver the luggage

perfect location to all central markets, restaurant and bars, shopping streets and monuments. The hotel building has been beautifully restored and the description on the hotel website accurately describes reality.

The lack of an elevator is the result of the strict restauration regulations, so there is nothing to complain about, however, bear in mind it takes 50 steep stairs to get to the second floor.

The hotel is located in a 140-year-old historic building. It's an amazing hotel with excellent, personalized service. Everything about this hotel is incredible, and we will definitely return.

Staff and design of the hotel

Such an incredible building, helpful staff and a lovely room. My view wasn't great but I was only there a night so not worth mentioning as everything else was fabulous. Would definitely stay again.

Great location. On arrival, it doesnt look like the most central location but in the light of day, we realized how close we were to everything! Very nice staff! Nice amenities and wellness offerings.

No elevator because its an historic building, but otherwise, a lot to like!

The staff was very kind, helpful and polite. The room was beautiful and very comfortable, and the location is great and very close to everything. Special note for the breakfast - everything was absolutely delicious and the service was perfect. Would definitely visit this hotel again.

The only possible downside I can think of is the lack of an elevator due to the limitations of the building, but it's important to note that personally for us it made no difference.

I didn't like having to leave!

The premises are magnificent. The staff are excellent and always helpful. Maria and Lia were extremely friendly and exceptional. We will be back. Do not hesitate to book this hotel for your stay in Athens.

It was a beautiful old perfectly restored hotel

There a shame there isn’t a lift or dummy waiter to help take up the luggage and room service. I felt guilty about the staff lugging up our things.

Lovely building thoughtfully converted into stylish boutique hotel. Comfortable bedroom & bathroom, wonderful think fluffy towels. Staff were exceptional - all very friendly, delightful people, knowledgeable & thoughtful. Fabulous location in Psyrri - characterful area, & everything we wanted to see was a short walk away plus lots of lovely bars & restaurants on your doorstep in the neighbourhood

Pillows too soft. And the mattress protector was a waterproof layer immediately under the sheet so I woke up sweaty every day. This was a shame because everything else was SO good

It was very boutique, and lovely and the food was very delicious, especially the breakfast. I thoroughly enjoyed the spa downstairs and booking it out for myself was very VIP experience and the staff were very very good.

Perfect location. Unique boutique property in a single exquisitely restored mansion. Staff is charming, unobtrusive and helpful. Breakfast is excellent and lofty lobby lounge is a perfect for a late night tipple. Each room is unique and the rooftop one has its own private terrace with hot tub and views on the acropolis…

Monument is an extremely beautiful and elegant space which is also extremely welcoming, comfortable and relaxing. The landmark space has been carefully restored to reflect it’s original design. The decorative ceilings are exquisitely beautiful, as is the overall design aesthetic. Our room was elegant, comfortable and pristine. And the serene spa space with the sauna and hammam and changing room/shower was magical. The team embodied hospitality in their kind and thoughtful interactions with us. We truly appreciated our stay.

Staff was very welcoming, organized, and attentive.

The room was spoltessly clean, by far the cleanest we've ever been to. The service from the hotel staff was exceptional. The breakfast was great with many options, and we had the option of taking it in the terrace. The daily access to the sauna & hammam is a nice perk, and the fact that its private makes it singnificantly better than other spa facilities even though it's quite small. These facilities were also spotlessly clean. The room we stayed in had a large rooftop terrace with a high quality hot tub and view of the Acropolis - an unforgettable experience! Overall a great stay, maybe the best we've ever had in a hotel.

The attic room we stayed in is really lovely and very private (the sole one compared to 4 per floor on the other 2 floors), but there are a few drawbacks to consider - even though they didn't bother us: The hotel has no elevator, and while the staircase for the first 2 floors is wide an comfortable, the additional staricase to the attic is narrow and much more challanging. The room's roof, being in an attic, is tilted, which does limit mobility in it, and I did bump my head and shoulder a couple of time when being careless. The rooftop terrace is by no means private - some surrounding buildings are taller and have balconies overlooking the terrace.

Great old building nearby city centre, but in quiet street. Building was renovated, with all necessary facilities, to become great small boutique hotel. Staff was extraordinary polite and helpful. They organised taxi for us, even during the strike of taxi drivers... Breakfast was server by menu, but any combination was open. Wonderful modern restaurant with local food was just next door....

I was happy to get a North American charger for my electronics. That was good. I was just missing a desk to do a bit of work. But it was totally ok.

at first the street looked unsafe but look can be deceiving. it is located in a safe area next to lively restaurants and venues.

The hotel is in a restored historical building. The restoration has been done in a perfect way. The room was big and beautiful. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. By far the best place we have been in Athens.

Perhaps having a toilet hand shower in the bathroom would be nice. Everything else was excellent.

No elevator

Small hotel and after a couple of nights you know all the staff which makes you feel at home. Lovely staff, very relaxed vibe, breakfast was delicious, location very convenient and we walked everywhere with plenty options for restaurants and bars around whilst being in a quiet street. The decor throughout the hotel is perfect, and the bedroom was super with plenty of small details that made a difference. We really enjoyed staying in the top floor with the nice view for sunset and a jaccuzi. On check-out we were able to take a shower in the spa area and a taxi booked. Great service!

Everything was perfect

It is a beautiful, well maintained hotel where the staff treat you like family. They are courteous, warm and inviting hosts who go to great lengths to take care of your needs while making sure their guests are comfortable. Three veranda was quite the highlight where one can have coffee or breakfast.

From the moment we got to the hotel we felt like everyone of the staff had been waiting just for us! The welcoming staff was at the door and reception eager to make sure we would have a great stay. They showed us around the hotel and then to the room. The greatest room we have ever stayed in at a hotel, and we have been to many places of the world. Our friends got a suite with a balcony, also exceptional in all aspects with a wonderful church view. Everything was impeccable clean and all the literally golden details captures your attention deservedly so. Beds are very comfortable, the shower perfect, spa was a great experience booked for only you and your group. A la cart breakfast was served in a beautiful way with perfect taste and appearance and again everything was served by the most charming staff. This is a new hotel in an old building that has been renovated to it´s original state. That part of this hotel also deserves our most intimate compliments. It is now a true monument. We thank the great staff of the Monument hotel for a wonderful time there. We will be back.
