Pure elegance and beautiful hotel in the centre of Athens
The Grande Bretagne is truly a beautiful hotel and we can't wait to stay again. The surroundings are so elegant and the staff were lovely .
We loved the pool and leisure area as did our daughter .
Phenomenal location . Highly recommended!!
We loved everything . Not that it was a problem but do let guests know about the 25 euro fee for thr car parking . Its great value but I think its best to let guests know in advance.

Maintains very high standards
The bar doubles also as a restaurant and cafeteria. Ut is frequented by locals who block all the tables so if you just want to have a drink at the bar you have a problem.

Perfect autumn break in Athens , in a hotel in perfect location

The outside roof pool was closed for winter without any prior warning despite being told it was always open weather permitting prior to booking . The weather on the day of closure was 25 degrees and clear blue sky 🤷🏼 . Really messed up our itinerary for a 4 night short stay .

Comfortable but crowded
Great location
Parliament view is not worth it especially from the first floor. Restaurant has an amazing view but food (breakfast and dinner) below average and definitely not worth the price.

Very good
This is such a centric and beautiful hotel, the view is the Acropolis is breathtaking day or night. I don’t rate it a 10 because we had difficulty with the checking in, we were charged twice by the front desk and of course the credit card company thought it was fraud. We were then approached as if it was our fault that they charged it twice and the cc company block it all together. We were able to resolved it but the correction took several days of an extra charge of > $5,000 in our credit card in the middle of our family’s summer vacation.
If one can avoid something like that happening to you, then one would have a phenomenal time at this gorgeous hotel in this iconic and historic city.

Best hotel in Athens.
The room was really classy and luxurious. The location is excellent so you can get a good view of the Acropolis or the Syntagma Square depend on which room you are in. All the staff are nice and professional.
Nothing much. Maybe some furniture and facilities might be a little bit old, but can’t complain in this classy, historical hotel.

The hotel was in a great location in the center of town. The restaurant on the room had a great view. The bathroom was limited due to the shower leaking. The room was satisfactory without view.
It is an older hotel. The rooms could be remodeled.

A unique luxurious experience in the heart of Athens
Staying at The Hotel Grande Bretagne, is a unique experience. When you are entering the hotel, you can clearly see from the beginning the meaning of luxury. The personnel is extremely kind and they treat everyone special. The room was really clean and the bathroom was gorgeous. The cleaning staff was very polite with us and they offered us chocolate and water once we arrived. The breakfast area was at the rooftop and the view was absolutely stunning with the variety of food options, making our mornings unforgettable. Last but not least, in the evening we swam to the pool that was fantastic. We would like to thank everyone for that pleasant stay and we are looking forward to visit Grande Bretagne again.
