Ava Hotel and Suites, Athens

They made everything easy for our stay. They arranged a taxi to pick us up from our ship, and another when we had get to the airport. The taxi was waiting for us on both occasions, taking the worry out of the travel side of our stay. The apartment was large, incorporating all the facilities - kitchenette, robes and slippers, complementary water each day, air conditioning, huge bed, fridge, safe, bathroom with a full sized shower, two complementary bottles of moscato, laundry service, a lift, room service (if required), 24 hour reception, friendly helpful staff and of course maps and advice. The apartment was well located. Five minute walk to the Acropolis. It was just what we needed. Thank you guys Regards, Ian

The staff was lovely and very helpful. The location was ideal.

The location was perfect. We were within easy walking distance to everything you would want to see in Athens. the hotel is located in the Plakka (historic area). There were many wonderful restaurants close by and we could walk to the Acropolis and other sites. It was a pleasure to not have to spend time figuring out transportation. Our room had a kitchenette and an outdoor patio with a bistro table. Perfect for morning coffee and afternoon wine. There was not view other than the patio but we spent most of our time exploring Athens.

Great location! Centrally location near Acropolis, great restaurants, and on a quiet street. Recommend to anyone traveling to Athens and looking for a hotel for a couple days of exploring and very helpful staff. Will stay here again when we come back to Athens.

Clean, comfortable and wonderful staff. Breakfast was great. Location fantastic. Within walking distance to Plaka, Acropolis and many fine restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Location - very near Arcopolis and bus stop and metro. We had a lovely time and lot of restaurants and shops nearby. Safe even when walking back late at night. Excellent service by Madga and Rebecca.

Breakfast was outstanding!

Staff and facilities are outstanding and the buffet breakfast was so varied and high quality. The location was the perfect choice for visiting Athen’s many landmarks. In all, it was one of the top 3 hotels We have stayed at. There is nothing that the staff wouldn’t do to make our stay enjoyable. Don’t think twice about booking Ava Hotel. You will enjoy every part of this fine boutique hotel.

Small chairs on the balcony would be nice. There were no chairs for the balcony. Bed was very firm but the linens and towels very nice. Spotless.

Everything was fine except the TV. Only European channels, no Smart TV (why?? The hotel had free Internet). Site pictures are a bit misleading, no Acropolis view (except possibly from some rooms). Junior suite plenty large.

You can’t beat this location. We were within walking distance to all the major historical sites, so it was perfect for first-time travelers to Athens. The neighborhood was picturesque and there were great restaurants nearby. Rooms were spacious and staff were accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was decent, there were hot and cold options and staff was there to make you fresh espresso.

The sofa bed in the living room was very very narrow, hard to turn at night. It would not be able to accommodate a larger person.

How close it was to all site seeing opportunities. It was very well designed And the proprietor greeted us at an hour that I understand was out of the ordinary (5:00 AM).

Spiral staircase. Almost fell due to last step being the same colour as flooring.

We loved the wine delivered when we checked in. We loved the location - NOTHING would be in a better location than this hotel!! It felt very safe and was close to many shops, food and sites. There was a wonderful bodega just outside the hotel. We loved the balcony. We found the temperature in the room just right. We loved the friendly people at reception who gave us directions and suggestions for dining. We loved the maps you had. Our room was gorgeous, comfortable and very clean.

Location was exceptional , very quiet and extremely comfortable - 2nd visit and even better than before - we will be back .

Breakfast was exceptional in its variety and quality. We didn’t go anywhere else for breakfast…and looked forward to it!

The location was excellent. Within easy walking distance to the Acropolis and the Plaka as well as most of the key important sites in Athens. The front office staff were extremely positive and helpful in terms of questions and booking cars and excursions. There are many very good restaurants in easy walking distance. The room was very large with a great bathroom and bed, and was very clean. The room had a good AC and WIFI.

Our room was a "garden view" double. In fact it faced an interior view of many neighboring windows, rooftops, balconies that was not particularly attractive and did not allow privacy without closing the curtains.

This is a very nice hotel in an excellent location. It was perfectly located for easy access to the South entrance of the Acropolis and also to Plaka and the active streets of Athens. The room was very nice sized and the breakfast was excellent!

Breakfast was OK and location good. The staff, particularly Jerome, Yasser and Vera made up for any negative issues. But over all we enjoyed our stay there immensely.

We accepted that it was not a new building so it had some limitations.

The location of the hotel was amazing. Everything was within walking distance- Acropolis, Temple of Zeus...restaurants and souvenir shops. The staff were exceptional too. Very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Consistency in housekeeping. One day we did not receive enough towels, another day something else was missing. But as soon as we asked the staff, we got it, They were all so quick! Really appreciate everything!

Loved the staff, breakfast, and location! Our suite was a great size and balcony overlooking the Acropolis and Hadrian's Gate was so cool! In walking distance to every major attraction and area of city center.

The pullout couch was uncomfortable, so my son just slept on the couch and didn't pull it out.

The location was wonderful, Hadrian’s Arch was right there and views of the Acropolis in opposite direction. Staff was very kind and helpful if we had questions. We were luckily able to check into one of our rooms upon arriving in Athens. Breakfast was very nice with juice, coffee, cheeses, pastries and yogurt.

Our family of five needed this book two rooms as there is no room for more than four.

Amazing location. Rooms were big, modern and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. Staff super friendly. Smaller style hotel, but with extra special feeling.

Incredible Location amongst the ruins! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and comfortable.

The location is perfect! Incredible views of Acropolis from our balcony, it was almost unbelievable. There are tons of shops, taverns, etc nearby it's so convenient to walk out and grab food and a drink or do some shopping. We were able to do a tour of Acropolis and our meeting point with our guide was just minutes away. We traveled with our two daughters, 10 and 1.5 yrs old. The suite was the perfect size and they were able to provide a crib along with the sofa bed. The area we were in was also stroller friendly. The staff were very helpful when it came to setting up transportation for us from the airport and then to the port when we left. Highly recommend Ava Hotel and Suites!

Location, cleanliness and safety and courteous accommodating staff. Rooms were exceptionally clean and enjoyed the small kitchen and dining area. Perfect location! Breakfast was excellent too!

Location in Plaka was perfect for a one night stay. Nice small hotel with friendly staff. Walking distance to main sites and buzzing tourist areas. As a first time visitor to Athens it was a great location for one night stay.

The hotel was on a quiet street with a beautuful balcony. Very close to all the attractions. The breakfast was amazing. The hotel staff were very helpful. Close to shopping. Has an elevator.

The room was spacious; the overall facilites were excellent. But the staff is what really makes the difference. In particular Panagoula (sp?) went out of her way to overcome our issues finding a cab one night. Going above and beyond my wildest expectations. They were always welcoming and helpful with directions/recommendations. Highly recommend

Everything exceeded our expectations, the staff was very helpful in dealing with the bicycle race that had all of the roads blocked. Location was excellent!

Everything was great! We loved the location....The hotel is within walking distance of so much that we wanted to see and do. Restaurants are close by. The staff was helpful in making transfers to and from the airport and also making dinner reservations and providing suggestions on where to eat. The rooms are large and comfortable.

Very clean and impression of all new in the hotel. Fully equipped kitchen with Nespresso coffee machine. Big room with balcony. Close to all Historical attractions and the Plaka area.

It's a bit expensive, There are no facilities at the hotel, except breakfast in the dining room and 24/7 reception.

The staff were very friendly. The room was spacious and very clean.
