No real windows in my room which I thought had been miscommunicated saying inner court yard wiew, whereas the *window" overlooks the common room

Easy to find , cute and cozy.

Only negative was the thin walls , could hear people walking and talking from the room at night time.

6.39am pretty sure staff were cleaning the kitchen…. Lots of slamming/dishwashing violently.

The location was great, and the staff was amazing! We had a few random questions, and they helped us with everything we needed. The café in the front is really cute, too, and the drinks and food was really good. The shared space of the hostel was really comfortable, and we enjoyed chilling there instead of alone in our room. Also, we had booked a room with canal view, and said view really was nice!

Unfortunately, the price for the luggage lockers is a bit high (7€ for 6 hours). Also, you could hear everyone in the hallway and sometimes even in the rooms next to ours, so earplugs really are a good idea.

Staff were friendly and kitchen layout was amazing.

Mattress was thin and uncomfortable.

The facilities were really good, the kitchen and common places were well equipped and comfortable. Also the location was really good, the distances to main attractions were walkable.

The bedrooms weren’t soundproof at all. This can be solved with earplugs but it was a little uncomfortable at first. And the showers couldn’t be temperature regulated so it was a inconvenient.

I liked the main area ant the staff, they were very helpful. I likes that there are lockers for stuff to leave. Kitchen ant the area around was very clean and spacious.

I didn't like the beds and the joint room. The smell was not so great, because there were full of people. The bunk beds were loud and squeegee. No noise blocking curtains or anything and the toilets and shower were joint for men and women.

Lights in toilet rooms did not work, only one toilet room actually had lights. It was way too hot inside the dormitory room and bad air ventilation. Also if you plan to charge your phone next to a bed prepare a USB (regular, not type C) cable. There is only one socket with power strip per 8 person dormitory room. Also my pad lock did not work for a locker, only specific shaped/sized locks would work, or probably you can rent/buy one at the reception, however I did not ask about it.

Friendly and welcoming, nice communal spaces esp kitchen, good-sized double room, and lovely hot shower.

Nothing with the current name of the hotel outside which made it difficult to find on the street, especially with cafe at the front. Window of our room looked onto interior communal area, no outside light so room was stuffy. Could do with more hooks or hangers as nowhere to put clothes.

The location and social amenities were excellent. The price-performance ratio was very compelling. Additionally, the rooms were clean, and all necessary facilities were readily available.

The only drawback I experienced was that the bathrooms are located quite far from the rooms, and there isn't even a sink in the rooms. This can make it challenging to get ready efficiently.

Lovely little place with a cool vibe, cheap and cheerful and exactly what you’d expect from a hostel in a busy city. Staff were helpful and prompt with their service, would recommend.

Not the best sleep due to people coming and going at different times. I also slept underneath some pipe work so I could hear all the water rushing through every time someone upstairs went to the toilet or ran a tap. On the plus side it meant I could hang my wet clothes on the hot pipes and they were dry by the morning!

The hostel is on the canal and has a bra window view of the water! This place is super unique and stylish. For a hostel I rank this place a High 7 and a must stay for solo travelers. However, book a private room. The shared rooms are co-ed and I was not comfortable with sleeping with males. They have the cutest swing and chubby cat! I really enjoyed this ambiance and the women staff.

Very nice hostel, there is a huge common room with a kitchen, where you can spend time. Interior design is very cool, the beds in rooms were also very comfortable, each bed had a socket and a small shelf for stuff. In general it was very quiet in the hostel. There are also 2 supermarkets close to the hostel

They really put thoughts into the environment.

I hope they provide ear plugs and can allow check in earlier.

The only slight downfall the the sound of the water through the pipes when sleeping (it sometimes sounds like the water was about to come through the walls).

The location is good

They have bunk instead of pod beds. The beds don't have head pieces, I was sleeping at the top bed and mi pillow felt. I didn't want to move to disturb my roommates. The lockers are super noisy and narrow, if you take something out you make a lot of noise.

No hot water in the shower and you cannot adjust the water temperature

Overall maintenance is a bit lazy, with noisy doors, no functioning lookers. The power available on each bed is only USB, many phones no longer use this kind of plug, they should make a regular outlet available.

What a cool hostel! Tucked behind the cafe, the hostel has a massive community area, fully equipped kitchen, and outdoor area. The staff was friendly and the hostel was cleaned daily. The rooms were also not half bad. The location of the hostel, while it could be better, is good. It’s close enough to the center, red light district, and central station to reach within fifteen minutes by foot, but far enough away to be safe and quiet. Overall I would stay here again!

I would stay here again if I had the money! Not unique to this hostel are the insane prices for accommodations in Amsterdam. Aside from that, nothing much I didn’t like. Maybe add curtains to the beds and have under bed lockers.

Our room was very comfortable and clean. The facilities are great and the staff were very lovely and accommodating.

The shared bathrooms aren’t great but I guess that’s to be expected.

The staff is awesome!!

The communal areas were a real treat, it was quiet, laid back and friendly. Even though I was sharing with 6 other females it was cool, no stress. Bathrooms were kept very clean, as were the other areas, I especially liked the kitchen facilities, there are 2 supermarkets 5 mins away so I had the option of cooking for myself, which was great. And the staff were excellent also x Highly recommend this place.

Honestly I'm trying to think of something I didn't like but can't! I wish I'd tried the bar, happy hour 5-8pm, but that's my bad...lol

The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very nice.

Great Location, close enough to city centre and a form of public transportation. Communal kitchen was good, and so were the bathrooms.

Top bunk beds are very loud when you move very slightly, springs might need to be replaced.

1. Poor lighting everywhere except by the bed—-the night light was helpful 2. Too many smokers! When garden or front door was left open, even a little bit, the smell permeated the area 3. Water gushing through pipes in female dorm woke me up :-(

There's tons of space in the hostel from the communal room, kitchen and even café area. Bathrooms are gender neutral and shared among everyone, but very private and I did not have any issues where there would be queues to use either the shower or the restroom. The showers were probably the best part because it's sectioned into two parts that can help prevent your things from splashing and getting wet, which was fantastic. Tommy, the tabby hostel cat that hangs out in the hostel everyday is probably the biggest highlight of my stay here! He's super friendly and very calm. He minds his own business, but is always open for pets and company. I would say, the best employee in the hostel to be honest. The location of the hostel is not the most central in Amsterdam which means less noise pollution, and it's tucked away in the quiet part of Waterlooplein (just 1-2 blocks from the tram/metro station) which makes it easy to get to and from the city center, but also walkable there too (about 15-20 minutes). There are several supermarkets that close late, around 10pm just around the block from the hostel which makes it easy to grab a quick meal, bakery item, juice, groceries or snacks. There's also tons of cafes in the area as well. Nice view of the canals and boats passing by. The hostel also hosts some events and provide small discounts on different activities that can be done in Amsterdam (posted around the communal area). While I haven't gone to those events so I don't have much to say about it, but as a solo traveler, having these social options help meet other travelers and enhance the experience so just to point out that the hostel does do social type events but not a party hostel.

Staff in the evening were not professional, usually hard to find if you need something, but the morning staff were super helpful. There's not much air circulation in the rooms despite being spacious with windows opened. There was a girl who had the stinkiest feet, shoes and questionable hygiene in my room and the smell would not leave even using the air freshener provided by staff. The air was very stuffy inside the rooms. There was another girl who was sick and never left the room because she was resting during her stay. I end up getting sick despite not being in the room as much and being located on the other side of the room from her because there was no air circulation in the room at all. There's also a late 10 euro check-in fee. My flight was canceled and my new flight was delayed and passport control took 2 hours at the airport. So my travel time end up being over 8 hours so I arrived at the hostel around midnight out of my control. The staff had no sympathy and was annoyed because I arrived so late end up charging me the late fee. On top of that she assigned me a top bed that was also being used by the person using the lower bed. Not only was the staff unsympathetic with my travel situation, she told me I have been assigned the bed and I won't get a new one or a clean unused bed. There are no hooks to hang towels or jackets. I would have given this place a higher score because I do think the facilities and everything deserve it, but my experience with the night staff and stuffy room bump the experience down.

Staff are very friendly and welcoming, always helpful with anything you ask. The various open spaces and garden are perfect for a morning coffee or an evening chill. The café serves cappuccinos and cold beers, what's not to like.

No complaints just a tip to replace or descale the shower heads. Roadworks outside the building and the entire street. Was just bad timing for the booking really nothing could be done about that.

It's modern and clean. USB-A chargers above the bed. It looks like a pretty cafe unless you walk further inside. The beds are incredible - warm and soft

It's too expensive for the hostel. No towels included. The locker didn't get locked by my lock by its construction - so my stuff was accessible to anyone basically

The beautiful view of the river from the big window and the light that it brought into the space! The communal area was nice, too. The beds and sheets are white which makes it feel more clean and bright in the rooms.

There are no curtains on the beds! The lockers are too small to fit your whole bag - you can only fit your essentials in them. You can buy a lock for six euros but it doesn’t even lock up all your stuff…🤦🏾‍♀️ There was also a huge window with a very thin curtain in my dorm so it got very light in the room quite early in the morning.

Staff are friendly and so helpful. Good location and the hostel is clean. Good job keep it up.

Beautiful design and great staff

The communal area are closed to rooms, feels like you have to be super quite to avoid waking other guests ! The small garden , what would be great for to spend time in evenings , shuts at 9 pm
