The hostel provides exceptional value for money considering its great location, breakfast, and amenities. We have booked a 4-person room for ourselves and enjoyed our personal space and clean and comfortable beds. The separate bathroom and toilet were a plus.

The cleanliness of the room could have been better. There was a lot of dust on the shelf surfaces and some imperfectly cleaned stains on the bathroom floors. These would be fine for a shared room, but I expected more for upgrading to a private room. There is also just the ceiling shower and no hand shower, so the bathroom was hard to clean after a shower.

Late check in( if you wanted to do it earlier, you would have to pay), early check out. Pay to have luggage storage for a hostel is unacceptable. The first day the staff was giving attitude and was overall rude. The shower head is a nightmare. Very pricey for a hostel.

Family rooms can feel a bit small and the windows don't open so no fresh air. No fridge, no air conditioning controls and no access for a microwave etc. rest all good

It was easy to find the hostel, easy check in if you download App Goki, everything becomes simple. The location is perfect, just 5 minutes to cross by free ferry to the central station. Ferries run all the time. Because I spent my time mostly outside so I didn’t have so much contacts with those who work there. And I didn’t join the programs arranged by the hostel. It is nice the toilet and bathroom are separated. The room is quite clean, not noisy outside, I got 3 nice roommates. The bar is nice too but the cocktails are quite expensive. Check out time 10 am is too early, feels like unfair as check in is 3 pm.

It was quite expensive but there is almost nothing in the room. The bed is hard, no towel, almost no space for those who bring big luggages. I brought a backpack so it was fine. The shower water is always making wet the entire floor. Could be nice if they can provide shower with holder so people can shower carefully so to wet the entire bathroom floor.

The location to the central station is a real one 👍🏻.

The location was perfect, it's just a short (free) ferry ride to the city center and they run very often. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe in the area and at the hostel. I was initially worried about theft based on some reviews, but had no issues during my stay — still, I recommend being cautious with valuables. I loved that the hostel had a lot of common spaces and organized daily activities, like karaoke night or cocktail making classes. I stayed in a 4-bed female dorm and was lucky to have great roommates. Having a private toilet and shower in the room was very convenient. Overall, I had a good stay and would recommend it to travelers looking for a budget-friendly hostel close to the centre, as long as you're not very fussy

I had great roommates but the hostel was not as social as I expected, maybe that depends on the season. There were also lots of young school groups but it didn't really bother me that much. The dorm was very small for four people, and the space got warm and cramped easily, it's probably worse in summer. The mattress was thin and not very comfortable, and you have to make your own bed. The bathroom was tiny with little space to hang things, and the shower flooded easily you had to be careful while showering. The hostel was overall clean but could be improved. Also, I didn’t like that luggage storage before check-in and after check-out was not free like most hostels, and the lockers were quite small.

Overall pretty good hostel! Extremely convenient location - just a short & free ferry ride to central station and you can basically reach anywhere else in Amsterdam. Facilities are good, and rooms are clean too. Worth the price.

Breakfast costs nearly 10 euros which may be a bit expensive - they also sell pastries and coffee at the reception (5+ euros) but you can buy the same breakfast combo at the AH nearby for just 2 euros lol.

Easy check in process. Huge area to socialise.

No communal kitchen. Bathroom feels damp. Room has no heat insulation.

A little more cramped than expected, but served it's purpose. Great location.

Sending room and bed no. with entrance code to e-mail when check in, system didn't work. Got delayed mail on next day even many times refreshing. Have to ask all infor. from reception again. Double work and waste times.

Nice budget hostel with excellent location, especially with it right next to ‘this is holland’, a common meeting point for day tours.

Facilities were ok but almost all need to pay, no free luggage storage after check out There is no shower curtain and the bathroom floor gets all wet after showering There is only hot water available at the dining space, no other cooking facilities

Really cool place, with several activities available. The room was clean and organized as we would expect from a hostel. Also, you can have good dinner and breakfast at the hostel.

The bed wasn’t comfortable, we had a very hard mattress. The shower was spreading water all over the place. The staff was not very kind and helpful, I ordered toilet paper twice, in 2 different days; nobody replaced it. When I went to the receptionist asking again, because we runout toilet paper, she said “you can take from the toilet in the reception”. It was disgusting. I needed to cross the reception and take the lift to my room with an amount of toilet paper in my hand.

Great location, close to railway station (free ferry 24h). A lot of places to chill, have a drink, play games.

Dirty bathroom and room (bedside shelf, windowsill, floor, etc.). Do not provide towel (you can rent for 5 eur)

General seating area is comfortable

There should be a ramp from the pavement and to get into the main area. To get a suitacase up those stairs are very difficult. Too little bathroom facilities for that many guests on 1 floor and during peak season bathroom facilities should not be "Out of Order" at all. Toilets are very smelly and basin was blocked.

Location, price, staff, possibilities...

The room was great, all the facilities were clean and mostly working. The rooms are very comfortable and the lockers very large. It was in a very good location, it is next to the dock so we took the ferry every day for free and it took us right to the central station. Also because it is on the other side of the river it was very quiet and away from most other tourists.

The first night when I spoke to reception there was one guy who was incredible and worked it out so my friend and I could stay in the same room for three out of the four nights (we forgot to ask to be together) but then every other interaction I had with a staff member was strange or mildly uncomfortable. They seemed confused why I would be talking to them or asking them questions and were completely unhelpful, even for simple queries about reccommendations for the city, use of the common spaces and locker hire. So shout out to that first guy for being an outlier I guess.

- if you want to store your luggage before checking in, you need to pay 4 euro to rent a locker for 4 hrs - I lived -1 floor and near the bar, I could hear the party and noise after 12 am - No lock for the lockers in room, remember to bring your own - I was unlucky to have a bad roommate who slept on my upper bunk. He watched videos on his phone all night without headphones, and kept laughing and shaking the bed. I slept on the lower bunk and the whole bed was shaking and I couldn't fall asleep. Until I got to change my room at 6 am, then 10 am the staff came to wake me up without reason

I enjoyed my stay here, and although I am not the biggest fan of hostels, I am glad I was at this one. The location is wonderful and close enough to the train station by taking a free 2 min ferry ride. The hostel itself is very cool-looking with many activities to do. The night I came, there was a live DJ playing, dancing etc. The staff were helpful and very friendly and nice, especially after an incident where I came into my assigned room and found a bunch of men lying on my bed and all their clothes and suitcases spread all over the floor. One of the men tried to convince me to change the room, it was very frustrating to come into that situation, but the staff helped me and relocated me to a smaller, quieter room with all women.

The rooms were a bit small and I didn't like the shower (there's no curtain or sliding glass door, so the water went everywhere). However, that is the only complaint I have.

The hostel is easily accessible by ferry (free and frequent passages). The rooms are spacious enough. The toilet and the shower are separated which makes it easier to share the space. They have a lot of activities and the common areas are nice.

The bathroom had a horrible smell of urine. There was no soap to wash our hands with, no towels or paper either. We had to pay 4 euros for luggage storage. The self check-in is super long, better to just check-in at the counter.

There's a lot to do in de hostel and many events to meet other people. Everything was clean and the staff was super friendly

The room had not enough ventilation with fresh air and no windows to open so the humidity was quite high in the room since it was full.

The location is perfect as if in Amsterdam city Centre. Actually, the hostel is very close to the ferry station that takes you in less than five minutes to Amsterdam central railway station free of charge. The young vibes and multiple activities are a basic feature for the place. The buffet breakfast was good in general at reasonable price.

Although it is a hostel, the cost per night (about 148 Euros) is much higher than the average in some 4-star hotels.

It was the cheapest accommodation we got in / near central Amsterdam that was somewhat decent. The location is better than expected. The hostel is walking distance to the ferry and it runs regularly, you don't feel that you are not staying in central Amsterdam. "This is Holland" is also next door, convenient for those booking tours from there. The room locks are code based, you don't need to carry a key around or coordinate between travelers for room access. After checking out, we left the luggage at the hostel for the day. The automated payment didn't work, but the staff was quite helpful to help with payment. The whole building was also well heated, shower had good pressure and hot water. The common areas are good for socializing as well as rest. There are free welcome drinks between 5 to 5:30, but we were never at the hostel to make use of the offer.

Despite the cheapest accommodation we could find, it's still quite expensive. We pay similar prices in ANZ or Japan with better services, and of course you get way more mileage in Asia. We got room 105, which catered for wheelchair users. This is the third time we are staying in such room (after Norway and New Zealand), all the inconveniences also apply, I am just copying my Queenstown review here with the exception that the sink here was enormous, but flat, resulting water splashing out to our foot when we tried to clean it. Also another plus is they provided a wiper. My Queenstown review: "everything was spacious as it had to cater for wheelchair users, but for us it meant while we had a spacious room, we didn't have any storage space, not even the towels. We ended up hanging the towels on the suitcase handles. We had similar issues with the bath room: huge area, but tiny sink. Also the bathroom is completely wet after a shower, again because it needs to cater for wheelchair users (we had similar experience with an accessible bathroom in Oslo, Norway as well). There was an area to hang the coats, but it was right under a small table. The coats constantly knocked over our stuffs on the table." The provided soap / cleaning detergent was so bad that we bought our own shower gel and shampoo. There are no cooking facilities or even microwave. We could borrow the cutleries from the restaurant, but e.g. there is no sharp knife to peel fruits. We stayed for 5 days, there were no cleaning or change of towels even though the sign said it would be done every 3 days. There were ventilation cleaning during our stay, after which they left a ball of dust in the shower. I am sure we could have raised the issues with the staff, but it's quite inconvenient to dress up again after a long day to go to the reception, so we didn't bother.

iI was concern about the lcoation, but with the convenience of the ferry i don;t think is a problem at all, especially for those worry about being far apart from other areas of the city, my room had six beds but it feels a little cramped, i only stayed for one night and left like at 6 am so i didn;t try their breakfast

The staff was terrific, especially at the reception- all super friendly, caring, and welcoming! The property is quite big, so I think the common space areas are appropriate for the capacity of guests that they can have at once.

Great location as it is just a short walk out of Centraal station to the free ferry, then another short walk to the hostel. Dirk supermarket is 10 mins walk. Hostel has a cool social atmosphere. Metal bed in double room was creaky with a very thin mattress so basically no sleep! Also the shower leaked all over the bathroom. No cooking facilities, but there was a small menu of food available, breakfast for €10, and a bar. Would recommend for location and social aspect.

The drain in the shower of the double ensuite could be improved. It was flooding. Other than that, lovely place to stay.

As a hostel we expected it to be noisy and it was. The location near the central rail station is a big plus

Noise, small room, bed was small and sloped as the the mattress support had gone.

The location was perfect. But the room was very small. The room was clean but we stayed 5 night and just once the room was cleaned and by cleaned i mean trash can has been emptied and that s all...the towels were not changed. Another thing, that is important to be mentioned is that the shower was a fixed one and the water ran everywhere in the bathroom..

Safe and clean

Really enjoyed my stay. The location is excellent. My single room was small but very comfortable. The staff were all really friendly and helpful especially the breakfast team.

The hostel was clean and comfortable. It was also in a very convenient location away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to get to all the attractions in Amsterdam so once I crossed the water on the excellent ferry system, so long as I kept out of the way of all the bikes !

Great location for travelers. There is a free ferry from Centraal Station that departs every five minutes. Great atmosphere for youths. They have like event every day. You can have a complimentary in the first hours of bar opening. The only downside was that there were no window, but just 2 fans in the room (I was in the dormitory). Breakfast not included.

From the second day the elevator was out of order so it was tough lol Other than that, it was great.

NICE ATMOSPHERE, LOCATION WAS GOOD, had fun playing the games in the evening.. Breakfast was ok.

Booked ensuite double room and there was a motor going in the bathroom all night...that we couldn't switch off....was given ear plugs which helped! The main light in the bedroom didn't work. Towels were v sparse. In common area, the elevated space was quite dangerous- easily fall off the platform- unprotected.

The location and price was budget friendly for solo travelers.
