ClinkNOORD Hostel, Amsterdam

Everything was fine. The location was good. However, when I first checked in, they gave me a room. And that room smelled incredibly bad. I only stayed in that room for 5 minutes and my head ached for hours, it smelled so bad. I requested a new room and was taken to the new room. The new room was normal and clean. The cabinet locks in the room were broken, but I was given one of the cabinets downstairs. My phone line was not working at the hotel. There was wifi at the hotel.

Nice place friendly atmosphere location is really good very scenic, good communal space with yoga mats places to lay down ping pong and pool tables, nicely tucked out the way but still only 5 mins away from centre as ferries are free and run 24/7 would definitely stay here again.

Drinks are expensive

The location is ideal perfect as you are close to the centre without being in the busy city. The size of the room and and facilities in the room were great. The bed was comfy and shower was excellent.

It’s just at the best location near the train station and 30 mins from airport.

Everything they offer, super convenient.

When i was there, only 1 dryer that kinda didnt work so had to hang dry. Really pissed me off as i washed both my coats so i could barely go outside as it was january. BUT I AM GOING BACK 1 MORE NIGHT.

Most of thing was amazing, there were many activities in the lobby And I liked having room key access through the mobile phone

Easy to access from Centraal train station.

Good location in Amsterdam Noord with easy access to the free ferry between Amsterdam Centraal Station and Amsterdam Noord. A few restaurants and bars within a 2 minute walk and right next door to the A'DAM Tower and Eye Film Museum. Good selection for breakfast in the on-site cafeteria.

The bed was a bit hard for my liking, and the grey decor in the room was a bit drab. No soap in the dispenser next to the hand basin (although there was in the one in the shower). The board in the foyer said food was available in the cafe 24/7, but there wasn't anything after 11pm, so this was a bit unclear.

Lot of things to do on site ! Really big convivial place for everyone ! Clean and calm despite the music in the underground

Hard work with the luggage locker but we get the solution rapidly!

Great location for the central station which meant we didn’t have to travel far with our suitcases and we were doing a lot of day trips from the station. Quiet (although we were there in winter, so can’t speak for summer) and a nice range of people there from school kids to elderly.

Rooms are a bit small for everyone to have enough space to spread out luggage but to be expected.

Staff were friendly, able to come and go as you please, great location

Beds were quite hard

The location is nice. Just take a ferry from other side of central station and walk for 5-7 minutes and you're there. Staffs were polite. Although there was confusion due to similar kind of name but it was resolved in good manner. So all good in the end.

Location is fantastic, the breakfast was priced really well, clean facilities overall and friendly staff Opportunities to meet other people are good and there are free lockers on the ground floor for small things

The 4 person dorms were really small, windows also don’t open The design of the shower heads in shared facilities is terrible. Mold is starting to grow and visible which will definitely be a big problem in near future

I didn’t feel like a hostel may be becauseof my private room many activities were there but didn’t feel like the people were open to make friends

One of the best hostels I’ve ever been to, definitely if I go back to Amsterdam again I’ll go directly to this hostel. They got so many good spots inside and you feel like a part of a big group that shares the same vibes. You need to get always a free ferry to reach the hostel but it’s suggestive every time and the service is perfect.

My experience of Amsterdam was not that great!! The hostel felt like a commercial hotel to me!! Although the staff was helpful I didn't find anything in amsterdam to my liking. Will not visit Amsterdam again!!

the staff is so helpful and lovely! I ended up extending for an extra night and they helped me figure out the best option for me. good facilities, all clean and the food is amazing

the shower in the twin room doesn’t really have a separation, so water just goes all over the bathroom. it’s not super bad for me, but it’s probably annoying to whoever has to clean it

Very friendly and helpful staff, great location you just need to take a free ferry that will take you through the river, it takes like 5 minutes and you’re in the very city centre.

Room and bathroom were a bit small and you cannot detach the shower head so a bit trouble with washing hair. But good value for the price

The location is great, very conveniant to explore Amsterdam and to travel elsewhere by train, ferry, or with Schiphol airport. Very friendly staff. They have lockers of various sizes to store luggage. Nice common room.

Clean good location friendly staff I booked 3 seperate beds for me and my friendsand requested to be the same room : the staff were very understanding and replied to immediately to my request. Even when checking in the staff were the friendliest I have ever seen. A very good stay in a very good location

Toilet and showers in the room were very clean!

Not the property's fault, but there was a guest in the dorm who brought her friend and they talked late into the night. She was quite young, so we didn't want to make a fuss about it.

The live band was really enjoyable to watch and listen to.

They don't have a fridge for guests. That would be a nice addition to the accommodation.

I spent only one night (arriving at 2 am and leaving at 8 am) there on a 24 hours layover. I had a first good impression and for the price I paid in Amsterdam it was Ok.

It was a pretty spacious hostel with lots of areas to hang out. The staff was great, and helped us with all of our questions. They also got us set up with bikes that are rentable, as well as a hair dryer. We had to rent lockers—we needed the XL storage units located in the basement. I wish it had been slightly better advertised. The rooms themselves were great. We loved how open they felt, and the split shower/toilet rooms were perfect!

The beds were a little hard at this location. And I realize it was during the holidays but there was only one working dryer in the whole building. It took us a couple hours to be able to finish all of our laundry. It’s also kind of far from main attractions.

Separated toilet and shower rooms, so you don’t need to wait one person to do your staff.

The sink are very tiny, so all the water is going out. Also no socket in bathroom, so you can’t turn on the dryer and you should do it in the room in self. Not comfortable at all, as all the hair will be on the floor in the room and also you will annoy people in the room with the sound of dryer

Comfortable, affordable, and modern. This hostel great. Self check-in and out, although there’s staff to answer any questions you might have. The neighborhood the hostel is in is served by a 24/7 free ferry so you can explore the city all night long!

I liked everything. Hard to complain when the hostel is so affordable and in such great condition.

It has been a exceptional experience while living in hostel and people were cool and friendly.. I like the way you have setup the bar and the vegan food was delicious especially veg Pizza and vegan burger ..Yummy..

I hope next time our stay will be more energetic than this time and water could be free till midnight.. :)

The location and staff was amazing

İ stayed in a mixed room for a night and it was crowded and i also saw someone sitting on the corridor. İ would recommend 4 person rooms

The location is perfect, close to downtown but out of the chaos. Staff is very kind and the hostel offer many activities. I loved my time here.

The two basement rooms don't have a window and the ventilation system in those rooms does not work. They are very cramped rooms with 14 beds. This seems to be a permanent issue and makes it quite unbearable in those rooms.

The ambience of the hostel was very nice and relaxing

I was there for 2nights and my room didn't get cleaned. I saw housekeeping cleaning other rooms, I don't know why mine was skipped

I had a fantastic stay at this hostel! The location is unbeatable, just a short 5-minute ferry ride to Amsterdam Central Station, making it super convenient to explore the city. The room and all the facilities were spotless, which made the stay comfortable and pleasant. The staff was truly amazing – friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with any questions or needs. Their positive attitude added a welcoming touch to the overall experience.

Honestly, there wasn’t anything major to complain about. If I had to nitpick, a microwave in the common area would have been a great addition for heating up small meals.

It's a bright place and it's tidy despite with many people lives there . There's different activities that cater for dinner crowd.

There's a male staff standing at the entrance. Not helpful at all. He just busy smoking and looking at his phone.
