Friendly atmosphere. Quiet at night. Great location.

Room was good. But there was a indian guy every night was snoring. Couldn't slesp properly for 4 days

Very good location, just across the canal from the Central station, and the ferry is free of charge. It's a huge hostel and sometimes full of kids, but it was not noisy during the night. A bit impersonal though and the staff also. But they help when asked. There was also a small shop behind the building. It was good for the price. The living room was also huge, and placed between 2 floors, originally designed. Not for people who search a quiet corner to read a book though :)

Check in time from 15:00 is too late and you should rent a locker to keep your luggage , you can’t leave them at the reception

Hostel location is great , just a ferry ride from Amsterdam central & a few minutes walk. The room was very neat & clean. There was a charging point to plug in a charger & also usb port. Bathroom was very clean as well. Breakfast was sumptous. The buffet was worth the price. Overall, very happy with the stay.

Amazing atmosphere, very clean, nice room and common area.

It was a little bit noisy. Walls are really thin so I recommend some ear plugs:)

The location is awesome, it is just a few minutes far from the Ferry, which starts from Central Station (for free). The breakfast was good, absolutely worths the price, the fun options were also good, they are recommending and organising a lots of programs. We had a small room with one bed, I heard that the bigger rooms could be less comfort.

Some guests are louder than they should be, but it is ok for a hostel. The staff were nice and kind, but there were times when we had to wait a little bit more to get to the lobby.. usually when a group arrived. The main elevator is frequently used, fortunately there is hidden one in the building that we can use. Sometimes the fan + water pipes were too loudly.

The location is fantastic. Its a 5 minute walk upto the ferry point from the hostel. From there IJveer ferry runs 24/7 every 5 minutes to cross the IJ river and reaches the other side at Amsterdam Centraal. We covered the area mostly on foot. There are bike rentals available too. Carry comfortable shoes and warm clothes even in summers if you're traveling from Indian subcontinent. The hostel has 24/7 drinking water facility (hot and cold) both. The hostel opens directly infront of a canal which is serene. There are grocery stores, cafés and restaurants nearby too.

Since its a hostel, there’s no privacy but that's ok. Stuff can get stolen if you don't lock it up. Rooms got a little smelly because of the number of people inside.

the breakfast could have been better and was a bit overpriced - but still better than other hostels in Amsterdam that offer less and were pricier!

The location right next to This is Holland and easy access to the train station was amazing. We slept very well on the beds and my husband felt the breakfast was quite good. I do not eat breakfast.

I was expecting that a hostel would have the ability to at least make your own cup of coffee or tea and cook your own meals if desired. I was surprised to find that even a cup of coffee was at an extra charge.

Good hostel. Well located, easy to access from Amsterdam Centraal Station (just crossing the canal by ferry). I stayed in a mix-shared room with 5 other people. The place is huge, has activities every day, offers breakfast in the morning (but pricey, but also good as well). Very good value for money relation.

The bed was too thin. Pillow was very bad too, and the blankets were stained when I first got them, had to ask for then to be replaced.

I loved the location and taking the ferry into town. Great bar and social space. Everyone was super friendly.

The private room was pretty small and got really hot at night. I wish there was a window that could be opened.

The hostel had facilities and so many activities and opportunities for the other guests to mingle from hostels to common areas and activities. If I was there are right days, I would have signed up for cocktail making class on Mondays :) And the location is so convenient and I enjoyed the ferry rides from Amsterdam Centraal, which are free and 24-7

There was no kitchen facilities

Reception staff were smiley, happy people and incredibly helpful, so my first impressions were really positive. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful and the process well explained by the staff. The location was really perfect for the concert I was attending at Tolhuistuin. I travelled by motorcycle and was able to park in the bicycle parking area close by, locking and covering for security. The 4-berth room was clean, the bed comfy, shower was hot and powerful and wc clean. There was a good size bag locker per bed so my bike paraphernalia and bags went in there or under the lower bunk, bring a padlock or, like me, buy one at reception. Also, bring your own towel or hire one from reception. I was roomed with a delightful lady and have made a new international friend! There were only 2 of us in the 4-berth so we could move around without getting in each others way - with 4 people, I'd imagine a bit of patience and timing is essential for showers/wc.

Social area of the hostel is very nice and cozy. Lots of things to do.

Zinc Bar closes very early. it would be better to keep it open till 00:00 at least.

Location was great. Surrounding environment inside the hostel was good. Bed bunks were good and comfortable. Planned activities that they have if you don’t want to go out.

Shower was not great…water sprayed everywhere bc it was only one floating glass door that didn’t even cover the whole shower area. Body wash dispenser seems a bit unsanitary for me. Had to pay for a lot of basic amenities like towels, lockers, locker for your lockers etc. Bottom floor (in some rooms) lacked proper ventilation, so smelled bad.

Breakfast Staff Location

The weekend room costs were exorbitant for the two star standard of room. Nearly 600€ for 2 nights.

Jump on the free ferry and you were in "town" - so quick! Convenient to get to from central train station upon arrival and departure. Supermarket around the corner and nice park across the way. I liked using a code and not having to worry about a key. I liked when there was an issue with our charging stations on our bed they changed our bed numbers and then maintenance fixed the very next day. Staff were all helpful and nice.

I didn't like not having enough toilets and showers on level 3 for our 8 bed dorm but at least toilets were very clean and more on ground floor.

Loved the ferry rides an easy access to the Keukenof bus

The hostel provides exceptional value for money considering its great location, breakfast, and amenities. We have booked a 4-person room for ourselves and enjoyed our personal space and clean and comfortable beds. The separate bathroom and toilet were a plus.

The cleanliness of the room could have been better. There was a lot of dust on the shelf surfaces and some imperfectly cleaned stains on the bathroom floors. These would be fine for a shared room, but I expected more for upgrading to a private room. There is also just the ceiling shower and no hand shower, so the bathroom was hard to clean after a shower.

Late check in( if you wanted to do it earlier, you would have to pay), early check out. Pay to have luggage storage for a hostel is unacceptable. The first day the staff was giving attitude and was overall rude. The shower head is a nightmare. Very pricey for a hostel.

Family rooms can feel a bit small and the windows don't open so no fresh air. No fridge, no air conditioning controls and no access for a microwave etc. rest all good

It was easy to find the hostel, easy check in if you download App Goki, everything becomes simple. The location is perfect, just 5 minutes to cross by free ferry to the central station. Ferries run all the time. Because I spent my time mostly outside so I didn’t have so much contacts with those who work there. And I didn’t join the programs arranged by the hostel. It is nice the toilet and bathroom are separated. The room is quite clean, not noisy outside, I got 3 nice roommates. The bar is nice too but the cocktails are quite expensive. Check out time 10 am is too early, feels like unfair as check in is 3 pm.

It was quite expensive but there is almost nothing in the room. The bed is hard, no towel, almost no space for those who bring big luggages. I brought a backpack so it was fine. The shower water is always making wet the entire floor. Could be nice if they can provide shower with holder so people can shower carefully so to wet the entire bathroom floor.

The location to the central station is a real one 👍🏻.

The location was perfect, it's just a short (free) ferry ride to the city center and they run very often. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe in the area and at the hostel. I was initially worried about theft based on some reviews, but had no issues during my stay — still, I recommend being cautious with valuables. I loved that the hostel had a lot of common spaces and organized daily activities, like karaoke night or cocktail making classes. I stayed in a 4-bed female dorm and was lucky to have great roommates. Having a private toilet and shower in the room was very convenient. Overall, I had a good stay and would recommend it to travelers looking for a budget-friendly hostel close to the centre, as long as you're not very fussy

I had great roommates but the hostel was not as social as I expected, maybe that depends on the season. There were also lots of young school groups but it didn't really bother me that much. The dorm was very small for four people, and the space got warm and cramped easily, it's probably worse in summer. The mattress was thin and not very comfortable, and you have to make your own bed. The bathroom was tiny with little space to hang things, and the shower flooded easily you had to be careful while showering. The hostel was overall clean but could be improved. Also, I didn’t like that luggage storage before check-in and after check-out was not free like most hostels, and the lockers were quite small.

Overall pretty good hostel! Extremely convenient location - just a short & free ferry ride to central station and you can basically reach anywhere else in Amsterdam. Facilities are good, and rooms are clean too. Worth the price.

Breakfast costs nearly 10 euros which may be a bit expensive - they also sell pastries and coffee at the reception (5+ euros) but you can buy the same breakfast combo at the AH nearby for just 2 euros lol.

Easy check in process. Huge area to socialise.

No communal kitchen. Bathroom feels damp. Room has no heat insulation.

A little more cramped than expected, but served it's purpose. Great location.

Sending room and bed no. with entrance code to e-mail when check in, system didn't work. Got delayed mail on next day even many times refreshing. Have to ask all infor. from reception again. Double work and waste times.

Nice budget hostel with excellent location, especially with it right next to ‘this is holland’, a common meeting point for day tours.

Facilities were ok but almost all need to pay, no free luggage storage after check out There is no shower curtain and the bathroom floor gets all wet after showering There is only hot water available at the dining space, no other cooking facilities

Really cool place, with several activities available. The room was clean and organized as we would expect from a hostel. Also, you can have good dinner and breakfast at the hostel.

The bed wasn’t comfortable, we had a very hard mattress. The shower was spreading water all over the place. The staff was not very kind and helpful, I ordered toilet paper twice, in 2 different days; nobody replaced it. When I went to the receptionist asking again, because we runout toilet paper, she said “you can take from the toilet in the reception”. It was disgusting. I needed to cross the reception and take the lift to my room with an amount of toilet paper in my hand.

Great location, close to railway station (free ferry 24h). A lot of places to chill, have a drink, play games.

Dirty bathroom and room (bedside shelf, windowsill, floor, etc.). Do not provide towel (you can rent for 5 eur)

General seating area is comfortable

There should be a ramp from the pavement and to get into the main area. To get a suitacase up those stairs are very difficult. Too little bathroom facilities for that many guests on 1 floor and during peak season bathroom facilities should not be "Out of Order" at all. Toilets are very smelly and basin was blocked.

Location, price, staff, possibilities...

The room was great, all the facilities were clean and mostly working. The rooms are very comfortable and the lockers very large. It was in a very good location, it is next to the dock so we took the ferry every day for free and it took us right to the central station. Also because it is on the other side of the river it was very quiet and away from most other tourists.

The first night when I spoke to reception there was one guy who was incredible and worked it out so my friend and I could stay in the same room for three out of the four nights (we forgot to ask to be together) but then every other interaction I had with a staff member was strange or mildly uncomfortable. They seemed confused why I would be talking to them or asking them questions and were completely unhelpful, even for simple queries about reccommendations for the city, use of the common spaces and locker hire. So shout out to that first guy for being an outlier I guess.

- if you want to store your luggage before checking in, you need to pay 4 euro to rent a locker for 4 hrs - I lived -1 floor and near the bar, I could hear the party and noise after 12 am - No lock for the lockers in room, remember to bring your own - I was unlucky to have a bad roommate who slept on my upper bunk. He watched videos on his phone all night without headphones, and kept laughing and shaking the bed. I slept on the lower bunk and the whole bed was shaking and I couldn't fall asleep. Until I got to change my room at 6 am, then 10 am the staff came to wake me up without reason

I enjoyed my stay here, and although I am not the biggest fan of hostels, I am glad I was at this one. The location is wonderful and close enough to the train station by taking a free 2 min ferry ride. The hostel itself is very cool-looking with many activities to do. The night I came, there was a live DJ playing, dancing etc. The staff were helpful and very friendly and nice, especially after an incident where I came into my assigned room and found a bunch of men lying on my bed and all their clothes and suitcases spread all over the floor. One of the men tried to convince me to change the room, it was very frustrating to come into that situation, but the staff helped me and relocated me to a smaller, quieter room with all women.

The rooms were a bit small and I didn't like the shower (there's no curtain or sliding glass door, so the water went everywhere). However, that is the only complaint I have.

The hostel is easily accessible by ferry (free and frequent passages). The rooms are spacious enough. The toilet and the shower are separated which makes it easier to share the space. They have a lot of activities and the common areas are nice.

The bathroom had a horrible smell of urine. There was no soap to wash our hands with, no towels or paper either. We had to pay 4 euros for luggage storage. The self check-in is super long, better to just check-in at the counter.
