Location & food

Breakfast was amazing set beside a lush indoor garden. Hotel was in an excellent location in the central cbd. Our room overlooked a canal with large picture windows and a comfortable seat for people and boat watching.

Everything was great. Perhaps a little overpriced.

Location is not ideal 20 minutes walk from everywhere Bathroom sink is right next to the bed with no seperation really not comfortable to use and makes a mess next to where you sleep

Inconsistent service (saying they would call when the room was ready, not servicing the room each day without being reminded), ineffective hotel management (explaining that they had a full house for why a room was still being serviced after 9pm)

Beautiful hotel. The staff were all so friendly and helpful when asked. The location was perfect in regards to exploring all the different areas and it was only a 7-10min. Walk to the metro.

My husband and I had no issues with anything.

Excelent location, very quiet and in the midlle of the city. Elegant place, very easy acces to the main places including by foot.

Service was superb, and so was the hotel itself, too. The location was great. The breakfast area was pretty tight, but it wasn't an issue. The surprise Genevieve tasting was a cherry on top.

I didn't understand the concept of a toilet without immediate access to hand washing. You'll need to open the door with unwashed hand and lid up a light to see the basin in the middle of the room. Doing this in the middle of the night - your partner.may not like it.

Just a small thing but the quirky room design was a bit over the top. The large plates glued to the bedside are in my opinion a health hazard as in the night you could cause a very nasty injury to your thigh - you should replace them asap with smaller plates that do not project. Also was the in-room sink designed by a female?! You cannot use the mirror when wet shaving as it is offset to the side and does not twist, so you have to shave blind.

The restaurant is definitely not up to the standard of the hotel. A portion of the restaurant is in a middle of the corridor. Then the menu is very small without many choices and dishes are not worth the money that we pay. It is ok for a bite but not more. This is really a pity as the restaurant has a great view on the canal and could definitely be a fit of a great dining experience but this not the case. Very disappointing for a beautiful hotel.

We came to Amsterdam to see a concert and only stayed one night. The Andaz was right around the corner from the venue and right in the heart of Amsterdam, perfect location. It is also a beautiful hotel. We stayed in the standard room and it was larger than expected with very cool decor, a nice layout and design. We ate in the restaurant/bar and the food was excellent. The bar also service innovative cocktails with a twist on the classics. The staff was very friendly. We also ate breakfast and what we really liked is we were able to order off the breakfast menu instead of taking the buffet. We are fairly light morning eaters and never get our moneys worth out of buffets. The breakfast was very good and loved the decor in the breakfast/garden room.

Please note that shower in the room is semi-private. May be an issue if you are traveling family and friends.

Nothing I didn't like. Although I did see other hotels in great locations on a better price point. Sure there is some difference but not sure the value difference is that much.

Everything it’s so beautiful and charming. The location is perfect, the room it’s amazing. I can’t wait to go back. My first time in Amsterdam and I felt like home

The interior design

Reception was so welcoming and the room was so comfortable and it was centrally located so we got to all our tours easily.

Had a bit of a challenge with the turning on and off the room lights. Could not figure out how to turn the light around the bed off but I was very tired.....

Everything if I’m honest .. had a great view , in a great location , and enjoyed the breakfast . The hotel might be expensive for some but I think it was worth it. My only regret is I didn’t stay much longer because it was just perfect and would’ve loved to have a bit more of it.

Very nice hotel located in the city center with walking distance to many shops, museums, restaurants, canals.

Others have also commented about slow breakfast service. On two days they forgot our orders and we had to request several times.

Everything is outstanding.
