Hotel Stary, Kraków

The location is excellent! It's about 50m from the main Old Town square. There are plenty of restaurants, shops, mini-markets, etc. no matter which way you start to walk from the hotel. The hotel has two nice saunas and a small but special look and feel pool. The spa complex (pool, saunas, small gym) is available from about 08:00 till 23:00 (if remember correctly ). Two slightly different restaurants inside the hotel.

The inside-hotel restaurants and the bar are closing a little bit earlier for my taste - 22:30 for the restaurants, 23:00 for the bar. The check-in starts from 15:00.

Outstanding hotel architecture is amazing

Excellent location and service from the staff, the breakfast girls were especially good. room and shower were fantastic as we were in the new part. I think the price for a breakfast is a bit excessive but that was my only gripe - otherwise highly recommended.

Love this hotel, this was our second visit to Hotel Stary and it was just as wonderful as our first trip. A group of family came out to celebrate my daughter’s 18th birthday, the staff organised a cake for her and made it really special. The staff always go over and above to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. The location is fantastic, literally a few steps away from the main square, it’s a perfect base.

Only slight issues were the temperature of the pool being too cold, there seemed to be a problem with the heating system for it, and the floors get quite slippery when wet in the spa area. I also found the bath quite slippery and a little difficult to step in and out of.

This hotel is stunning. The location is perfect; it is just off the main square in Old Town. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The included minibar was a nice treat, and the Ortigia toiletries were wonderful. The staff was kind and helpful, and the bar and restaurant offered a good option for a drink or dinner. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Breakfast isn't included but we had it one day as we were getting picked up early for an excursion, lots of choice but probably expensive when the main y is just round the corner. Hotel is gorgeous and in a superb location can't fault it, highly recommend it. Robes, slipper's and toiletries in the room was a nice touch.

Heating was a bit touch and go, also no hot water on our last day. No tea or coffee facilities in the room.

we visited during the winter with 0c degrees. the spa had an AC set to cold with no option to turn off or change to heating, and the pool water was cold so we couldn't stay there for long

The location was great . Right next to the square . A lovely spa ,pool and sauna . Had a swim every day .spacious room . Helpful staff.

The location is unbeatable, so close to the historical main square. Very comfortable hotel with great facilities. Very tastefully equipped rooms. Nothing not to like.

Can't think of anything. We came by foot / taxi, I guess by car is a bit less comfortable but that is never a good idea in the middle of a medieval old town anyways.

The room did not have a USB point or a kettle or coffee machine which seemed unusual for a 5 star hotel.

I rated 10, same as during my previous stay. It’s one of the best hotels I’ve been to in my life. Interior is out of this world. Location is perfect.

Small things: - wish the doors had some kind of stopper to slow them down when they close, cause they are very heavy (that’s a plus), but can easily wake you up when neighbors open and close them in the morning. - the massage water stream in the smaller pool (the one on the left) didn’t work. Please fix it, I loved to use it on my previous stay. - entering the hotel at night is not very comfy - you have to use the buzzer and wait for the staff. Please consider installing the card reader.

From the first moment we walked into the Hotel Stary we felt like in a different world. Interiors are very elegant, stuff polite and always at your service, restaurant is serving a stunning food, breakfast was amazing. We have chosen this hotel because of spa area and close location to main square - we were so spoiled that we will not look for anything else in Krakow.

Having to check out and go home :-( We Loved every minute we have spent in Hotel Stary!

Fantastic location just off the main square in a beautiful building. The pool was wonderful, very atmospheric. The staff were all lovely.

We stayed in a junior suite which didn't have any external windows, the windows opened onto a glass covered internal courtyard. I felt that the room was quite dark, even with all of the lights on. The room was lovely, bed very comfy, but it just felt a bit too dark and gloomy for me personally and needed a bit more lighting.

The property feels recently built and renovated. Very spacious rooms and bathrooms which were very appreciated. The location was brilliant. Right next to the largest town square in Europe made evening walks magical.

Not really a dislike. The perfections felt a little spacious. But I guess that’s price to pay for lots of space!

Perfect location for exploring the Old Town. Very good spa/swimming pool and gym. Excellent high end dining room.

Only that the breakfast was not included and was expensive. There were lots of small cafes nearby to compensate.
