In room 109 you could hear them setting up breakfast and calling to one another from very early in the morning. However, the view we had from our terrace made up for this

I loved this boutique hotel in an old italian villa. I had a room upgrade and especially loved my huge balcony and the view of the tempel.

Loved the location, the room and staff were amazing and the view was absolutely amazing. A lovely chilled nice relaxed hotel.

Breakfast we were hounded by wasps every day, they were such a nuisance for all the guests that they should try some methods to control them.

We liked everything! The accommodations were super clean and luxurious. We must have been upgraded because, in addition to a spacious bedroom, we also had a separate large living room! The bed and pillows were comfortable and the linens were high quality and crisp. Heavenly! The location was the main reason we selected this property. There is a path that takes you to the Valley of the Temples. So convenient and a delightful stroll. Purchasing tickets at the hotel was also super convenient. The hotel property was lovely and we enjoyed all our meals outside. Relaxing by the pool was also very pleasant. While meals and beverages were expensive, it’s to be expected given the level of quality and the view of the illuminated ruins. Breakfast was amazing!!

There was nothing I did not like

An amazing location with lovely grounds and a wonderful view of the temples. Room was a nice size and the hotel was small and unique with a friendly staff. Acess to the temples was through hotel garden which made it easy. We booked a tour guide which was worth it as we had visitied many other sites in Sicily on our own and our guide added to our knowledge of the entire history. Lunch on the outside terrace on our sunny day was wonderful.

It was too cold to use the outdoor facilities when we were there unfortunately. Dinner and breakfast inside the main restaurant was way too formal for our liking and the room lacked any coziness. An easy drive up the hill for dinner at Aguglia Persa was delicious and worth the drive.

A high end hotel, with lovely views of the Temple of Concordia. The hotel itself offered excellent service and food and drink, and we particularly appreciated being able to access the temple site directly from the grounds.

There is nothing else in the vicinity, so you have to drive if you want alternative catering or an ordinary bar or shop.

The location is fantastic being a very short walk from main temple complex. The setting is gorgeous. The pool is amazing and the staff is exceptional. The other guests were very friendly, and we enjoyed a festive outdoor dinner under the stars with 10 other guests in the gardens.

A 5 star experience. The front desk staff and general manager were fantastic. They were so nice and welcoming. The property was gorgeous with private, direct access to the Valley of the Temples.

Staff is very accommodating for places to see in the area. Proximity to the temple. Path from the Villa’s to the Valley of the Temple. Very relaxing. Loved their vegetable garden. Staff guided us to a Great restaurant at Scala dei Turchi, Long Beach for lunch with views of the Turchi.

Amazing location, right at the entrance of the Valley of the Temples. Absolutely ideal, with a private gate to get into the valley. And you can buy tickets from the hotel reception. So convenient.

Room was really nice but could do with a few more home comforts. It was just a bit sparse. And breakfast was overly fussy. I love a nice breakfast but it was just really stuffy. And glass tables were really clanky. I'd just prefer something a bit more informal.

This was a last minute booking, and we were very pleasantly surprised by everything the hotel had to offer.

We booked a massage in the spa, it was not good for the price charged.

The lunch menu is pricey. A pity as there is a beautiful terrace and garden to enjoy.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Athena Resort. The whole staff was very caring and helpful. We loved that we could walk to the temples and museum from the hotel. Don’t think twice, just book it!

The hotel is lovely, the room exquisite, linens luxurious, the grounds fabulous, and the breakfast delicious and extravagant. Reception staff were gracious and helpful. Direct access to the Valley of the Templi is a plus. Our experience with the hotel was 5* however the restaurant for lunch or dinner couldn’t have been more disappointing.

Lunch and dinner at the hotel are close to inedible. It’s hard to imagine the food being worse. The breads and appetizers were wonderful but the mains, although beautifully plated were like high school cafeteria food.

The location of this property is great since you get access to the temples right from the property. That was the main reason I chose this hotel. Nice breakfast was included but some of the portions seemed larger than they needed to be since you want to indulge in the pastry tower they bring. Very good choices and quality of breakfast items.

It would have been nice to have the snack area open as a light option for dinner. It's a remote hotel and you're kind of stuck to have dinner at the resort restaurant unless you want to drive or taxi into town. The dinner was nicely done but elaborate when I would have preferred something lighter and less expensive.

Villa Athena Resort has an ideal location with absolutely incredible views! We thoroughly enjoyed our gracious welcome and prompt room assignment. Visited the spa and relaxed with a massage. Dinner and breakfast were very nice. I asked for a guide and even with late notice, they were able to secure an amazing guide that was knowledgeable, interesting and engaging. Our time at Villa Athena was fantastic!

I was perturbed when we sat down for dinner, asked if we wanted a cocktail to begin, ordered without being provided a drinks menu to find that an Aperol Spritz was 20 Euro - absolutely ridiculous! I live in a large city and am used to expensive drink prices, but I have never paid 20 Euro for an Aperol Spritz. Felt like I was taken advantage of. I asked for an iron and was told there was a pressing service but I would need to send my dress down and they would have it for me the next day. As we arrived in the late afternoon and I wanted to wear a freshly ironed dress for dinner, waiting until the next day was not an option. The desk attendant that I spoke with did not offer an alternative to the pressing service. Disappointed me that there was no inclination to problem solve and offer an alternative to the service, like bringing me an iron to my room, so I could iron my own dress.

Small luxurious hotels with lovely staff. Location amazing and a joy to walk into the archeology site. We were upgraded to the most beautiful space. G do pod was excellent and generous.

When you wake up in the morning and see a massive Greek Temple built approximately 2600 years ago in immaculate condition, how could there be anything wrong with this hotel or its location. The hotel is phenomena in its own right and have first class and friendly staff who are well trained and carry out their duties flawlessly. There is no question that their first priority is to make a memorable visit for their clients. The accomplish that with great ease. I was recommended Villa Athena by an Italian friend living in Canada and it met her comments. We have already recommended the Villa to our friends.

The room was very spacious with top--notch bedding and pillows, and had a large terrace overlooking the pool area and the Temple of Concordia. The hotel has a private entrance to the Valley of the Temples. It's also very easy to find and probably the best location in the area, with a 5-star restaurant and wellness spa on site.

The Villa Athena is more than a 5 Star Hotel. It is a 5-Star Plus Experience!! From the moment you enter the beautiful grounds, meet the gracious professional staff and experience the incredible views of the temples, you know you have chosen the most amazing hotel in all of Agrigento. The rooms are luxurious, have spacious bathrooms and fine quality bedding and toiletries. The views of the temple from the Terrace are stunning.!! We enjoyed our fine dining experiences for dinners and breakfasts. Our waiters, Antonio and Alex were professional and well trained. They were very efficient, pleasant and made sure our dining experiences were perfect. We purchased the tickets to see the Temples at the hotel Reception desk and it was an easy walk along the private path to the site. Because we chose the Villa Athena, our visit to the Valley of the Temples was the hi-light of our 3 weeks in Sicily. We highly recommend this exceptional accommodation.

Excellent location for the Valley of Temples and just a short drive to the hilltop city of Agrigento. Room was well appointed with a lot of extras like robes and slippers. You just can’t beat the view of the temples while sipping a glass of wine in the afternoon.

The room was stuffy - had to open ALL of the windows to get air flow and cool it down as only heat was on for the winter months. Not a problem until the guests next door sat outside and smoked so then we had to close the windows. No ramp to lower level where our room was - steps only. Would have been nice to know ahead of time we should have dressed up for dinner.

The location is brilliant and beautiful. The resort could not be more comfortable or welcoming from the gift of pastries in our room to the lovely linens and towels. The staff were excellent. The private terrace outside the room was the best.

Wonderful small hotel overlooking the Greek Temple ruins. Restaurant is also lovely and had delicious food. Breakfast was included with our room selection and was lovely - ordered off the menu as off season so no buffet. Beautiful serene setting with olive and almond trees planted all around.

Incredible place! Location and scenery is beautiful, staff is kind and helpful, all facilities are top tier. We had the best massage we ever had at the spa - Chiara and Cinzia were amazing.

Amazing location and gorgeous room. Cinzia at reception was lovely and beyond helpful (she's a fabulous asset to the hotel) and a wonderfully courteous gentleman helped me with my bags and delivered the hotel gift of chocolates to the door of the room. Highly highly recommended.

We loved our stay here. The location is fabulous, right next to the temples with a private entrance for visiting. Our room had a huge balcony overlooking the Temple of Concordia - a wonderful space for relaxing. The temple is illuminated at night and it was amazing being able to sit and look over the archeological park. The hotel itself is lovely, large rooms, good customer service, nice food. Plenty of parking. We had a very relaxing stay and would stay here again.
