The hosts were very helpful and friendly. The location is close to both the beach and the lake, which are just a 5-minute walk away. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. I will definitely come again!

Massimiliano is a fantastic host and a great resource to get recommendations for where to eat and what to do. He is very kind and personable. The place is in front of the sea: after a whole day in the city sightseeing, to recover from the heat diving in the fresh water and possibly walk back to your room and have a shower is unvaluable. Very nice experience!

It was not like a normal hotel. It was more like an airbnb appartment. Unfortunately I booked this room with the expectation that it was a 4 stars hotel and I expexted the standard facilities of a hotel (24 hours open reception desk, daily cleansing, breakfast buffet, room service etc.). This is why I paid so much money. If i knew that it was more like an appartment I would have looked for more economic options. It was my third time in Syracuse and I can compare this rooms with the previous ones I have stayed. I know that in Oritigia it is hard to find a typical hotel but nevertheless, there are hotels in Ortigia. I think that this type of accomodation must be described in a more appopriate manner in the booking.com so that everybody can get what he is looking for.

It was a pleasure to stay here! The apartment is near the sea, quiet and very clean. But the most important is the help from Massimo. He provided us all the tips we needed to have a nice holiday.

The location was perfect for exploring Ortigia. The view of the Mediterranean is amazing. We had plenty of space in the apartment. Breakfast at a nearby bakery was excellent. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable. The valet service worked well.

The apartment was great. Massimo was a fund of information and Angelo the perfect gent. Prime position in Ortigia with great local bathing. Lots of good restaurants around. A very short walk from the Duomo piazza. Excellente!!!!!

The TV could be in a better position and a multilingual TV package would be a good idea!!!!

We loved our stay in this stunningly appointed apartment located in beautiful Ortigia. The location in a quiet authentic street is ideal for exploring Ortigia. Our host, Massimo was extremely attentive assisting us with bookings and taxis. Within a few metres of the hotel is a swimming platform - perfect after a day out and about. Highly recommended.

Prompt, friendly and helpful communication before arrival. The suite is very spacious with a really comfortable bed, excellent air conditioning and we loved the private terrace and roof-top sunbathing area, overlooking the sea. MASSIMO AND ANGELO are the biggest assets to this business, by far. They manage to afford their guests privacy whilst providing exceptionally good customer service. We were given lots of useful information prior to arrival and when we reached the hotel. The hotel organised our taxis from and to the airport- which was a great help.

The staff was exceptional! They made sightseeing and dining recommendations that all exceeded our expectations. They were very attentive and always available. The location was wonderful as well!

The structure with the reception desk, judging by the unit #3 in which we stayed for 2 nights, is composed of well appointed apartments; the owners obviously took care in to furnish them well.

We have vacationed in Italy several times per year over the last 25 years, including Palermo, Cefalu, and Catania. This was our first time in Ortigia, and we booked 5 nights in a room with a sea view. On arrival we were escorted from the reception structure to a building on the opposite side of the block. The front door was facing a relatively heavily trafficked street, and as the main source of light, when opened, eliminated any source of privacy. The “sea view” was into parked cars, walkers, and a large brick structure. The loft bedroom - devoid of windows - is accessed by climbing stairs which are precarious if traversed in the dark. On seeing this, & without conferring with my wife, I informed our guide that this facility was utterly unacceptable (never before have I had such a negative reaction). The receptionist move us back to the main building but could let us have unit #3 for only two nights, after which we departed the Royal Suites in disgust. We liked Ortigia and will return, but not on a bet to Ortigia Suites. Of course the owner declined even a partial refund.

What a lovely stay we had at the Hotel Ortiga. Everything was just perfect! Very soacious accomodation with an outdoor patio ! I will dream of staying here again to experience the comfort and hospitality this hotel offered! This hotel came highly reccommended and I will pass on the recommendations ❤️ Thankyou Masimo

Perfect location facing the sea and within walking distance to all of the sights. The Hotel is full of charm and Massimo the manager is an excellent host, who will provide you with everything you need to know to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

the hotel was so unusual with luxurious originality… the manager made us feel so welcome nothing was too much trouble. The situation of the hotel was perfect .. we would definitely return!

The staff are so warm, welcoming, and helpful, they guided us every step of the way to secure our vehicle and luggage and to get us settled in our beautiful suite with terrace. The property is hidden in a sweet residential sweet so we felt the sights and sounds of Ortigia authentically. The views from the rooftop terrace are unmatched, the breakfast vouchers at the sweet and delicious Violetta Bakery made our mornings nourishing and delicious, and the location is perfection for seeing all of the island. Grazie Mille, Royal Ortigia Suites!!

A superb place to stay, this beautiful hotel is in a tranquil location just a few streets away from all the sites of Ortigia, and right by the water. The staff were exceptional: so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and Massimo's kind advice and restaurant recommendations were the highlight of our stay. The room was gorgeous and spotlessly clean, with an extremely comfortable bed. The hotel is right by the sea, and we had a wonderful view of it from our window. The breakfast (served in the hotel in a lovely little courtyard) was excellent – the pistachio cornetti were especially delicious! We were so happy to have chosen Ortigia Royal Suites, and would do so again.

Everything about the place was FIRST rate. The only reason that I'm being honest is because we don't plan on visiting Sicily again, too much else to see in this world. This place should be packed because of its staff, value, location....am I gushing about the place?
