Location wasn't so great in my personal opinion but everything was around it. Couldn't get a late check-out and had to check-out the room at 12pm exactly!

The receptionist, Nardine, is extremely helpful in suggesting attractions and things to do, her friendliness and hospitality made our stay pretty pleasant.

Excellent location near the (old) Egyptian Museum and Tahrir Square. The room was comfortable and service impeccable. It’s really an oasis that provided a refuge from the chaos, haggling, scamming and fleecing in Cairo. Room service was prompt, the prices really reasonable and portions huge. Front desk and concierge were also very friendly and helpful. Laundry service was excellent and also very reasonably priced (not like in other places where the cost to wash a pair of socks costs way more than your socks…)

Clean, decent-sized room. Coffee & tea facilities provided. Water provided. Comfortable bed. Powerful shower. Toiletries & hairdryer provided. Very attentive staff. Fabulous breakfast. Bar in lobby & pool bar were convenient after a day's sightseeing.

The carpet in the corridor & by the lifts on our floor was slightly stained. Other than that, the hotel was spotless.

Best hotel I stayed in whilst in Egypt. Very clean, staff were great, good location to be able to walk around downtown. Nothing to complain about really. Would highly recommend.

The insistence that I leave a good review on Booking.com at the end. Nothing is more annoying than getting asked to leave a review! So hence a 9. Quite simply do NOT ask for such things! Car to and from the airport was overpriced but a minor issue. And the music by the pool was way too loud. I'm nitpicking at things here though.

The location is perfect for making a downtown stay very walkable. The hotel is lovely, very comfortable, the staff very helpful, it was very clean and breakfast is full of quaility choices. I’d definitely stay again!

The staff are impressively friendly. I stayed in the hotel 7 nights in a business trip. Staff were very supportive.

The hotel is well located for people that likes to stay in city center. however, it is noisy being at Tahrir Square.

Ideally situated within walking distance of the Egyptian Museum (Tahrir) and just minutes from Zamalek, as well as many key business and government institutions.

The lobby is spotless and stylish, though it feels a bit confined and doesn’t quite capture a laid-back vibe.

Perfectly located hotel, close to Egyptian Museum and the Nile. The room was very clean, with walk-in shower, comfortable bed. The staff were all super helpful and particularly Mr Waleed who arranged late check-out for us. Overall, we had a very nice stay and will come again.

The buffet breakfast was fantastic with plenty of delicious options to choose from each morning. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help with a smile, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The location is also perfect, close to many attractions in downtown Cairo. Highly recommended for both comfort and hospitality!

The beds were a little firm for my liking but this is down to personal preference. Even on a high floor, it was quite noisy from the crazy Cairo traffic outside!

The breakfast was another highlight — an impressive spread with so many delicious options to choose from, beautifully presented and constantly replenished. It was the perfect start to my mornings. And of course, the location couldn’t be more perfect — right across from the Egyptian Museum, in the heart of Cairo. I could easily walk around, explore, and feel connected to the city’s vibrant energy while still enjoying the comfort and calm of the hotel. I left with wonderful memories and a full heart. Thank you, Steigenberger Cairo, for the warmth, comfort, and true Egyptian hospitality. I’ll definitely return and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cairo.

My stay was great and truly awesome! Thank you so much for providing the room before the check-in time — that was a wonderful gesture and made my experience even better. The breakfast was fantastic, with a huge variety of delicious options to choose from. I definitely plan to stay here again in the future and will happily recommend this hotel to others!

Excellent experience. Helpful staff. Highly recommended. I would like to thank Mr. Hamzah for his care and support. He, and the reception staff, dealt with my concern with high professionalism, and the service was exceptional.

Great location, bed was comfortable and got a higher floor as requested. The staff was very polite and even checked in with me to make sure my stay was going well.

Not so much I didn’t like, the hotel is in a very busy part of Cairo and the noise carries (very faintly).

The breakfast buffet was outstanding - far exceeded my expectations with all different kinds of food including egyptian specialties. The location was great - very close to the Egyptian Museum. Hotel was very clean and comfortable.

The car service desk was far too expensive. Quoted me a price of $22 (US) for a trip that I paid 50 EGP ($1 US) when I got a taxi on the street outside the hotel. Also quoted a price of $52 (US) for roundtrip to khan el kahlili market when I paid about 200 EGP ($5 US) for street taxi.
