The Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo

Very nice hotel, in front of the Nile and just next to Tahrir Square. The personnel was very friendly and helpful. Hotel restaurants were excellent.

Staff were very polite and kind, and the food was delicious.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were fantastic. They even helped us when we had trouble with the Ubers up charging us for a ride to the train station on our last day. The pool area, workout facilities and restaurants were great as well.

We wish the pool was open longer

Stay here for a perfect Cairo and Egypt experience. Location of the hotel was amazing (next to the old Egyptian museum). Breakfast was by far the best I had in the entire country (after travelling to Luxor and Aswan). The staff were brilliant and the room itself was so well appointed and looked after. They have a bank inside the Hotel to change money!

The entrance was well guarded, thus most Uber drivers did not want to drive inside to the hotel front. Had to walk to street to get on/off car.

Friendly, clean and great service

The staff are super friendly and the hotel is beautifully decorated inside. Its got a great location in downtown Cairo. You can walk to restaurants and very easy to grab ubers. The facilities like the gym, and spa were excellent. It felt like an oasis in the busyness of Cairo. Would definitely stay again!

The outside area by the pool looks a bit plain. The only real thing I didnt like was the bar which was smoking. People also lit up around the resturant which ruins the environment.

Cigarette smoke everywhere!! This is not just a Ritz problem, this is a problem all over Cairo. It is like the US in the 1960’s. Smoking section of restaurants 20 feet from the nonsmoking areas inside! Same air. Ritz should lead in having smoke free facilities everywhere in the world!!

The location is super good. The breakfast is fine.

The curtain can not completely block the light. We were waked up at 5 am at sunrise. The water pressure of the shower is too small.

Beautiful hotel. The staff were excellent! They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful. Our room was spotless. Nice big room. Very comfortable. The lobby bar was our favourite hide-out. The service was impeccable. The cocktails and food were of high standard. The service and food at the Barb EL-Sharq and Culina were exceptional. We had a lovely stay. Special mention to Nazem and Noha at reception were wonderful.

Everything literally the team are very friendly and welcoming and helpful. The house keeping team especially Al Sayed was so helpful and friendly. It felt like home. Ritz Carlton will always be my first choice when i visit Cairo

Being a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite member, as soon as I arrived, they offered me the presidential suite upgrade. Incredibly room with a beautiful view of the Nile River. Location was excellent, located right in front of the Egyptian Museum and lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The staff were as kind and helpful as can be.

I did not get any points on my Marriott Bonvoy membership because I booked through Booking.com and not directly with Marriott. You guys should offer customers the ability to add our membership numbers when booking otherwise, next time I'll book with Bonvoy directly so I can get my points.

Everything about our stay was incredible. We were picked up from the airport in a Mercedes E-Class, setting the tone for a true 5-star experience. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. We were given a personal tour of the property while our luggage was taken straight to our room. When we walked in, the view took our breath away—absolutely 10/10. The room itself was beautifully furnished with luxurious décor. Our days by the pool were superb. We loved the cocktails, the service, and the relaxing atmosphere. The food throughout our stay was exceptional; every meal made us feel like we were in another world. We honestly didn’t want our stay to end because we enjoyed it so much. We highly recommend staying here—everything was absolutely faultless. Thank you.

The concierge charges for the shuttle service—both from the airport and for in-city visits—were unfairly high. I paid approximately $290 for two Toyota Hiace vans, which is about eight times more expensive than the normal airport taxi fare.

Restaurants were not clean, not only table but also cutlery and dishes.... they seemed to have a shortage of cups, glasses... service level far below a 5 star hotel....
