Great place, very nice breakfast

Walking distance to the port and a short ride 10-12 min by taxi to the airport. Beautiful room, especially huge bathroom.

Our room was quite small but it was beautiful.

The property has many amenities. It’s a 5 star historical hotel that has been completely renovated and modernized inside. Staff is very accommodating. It walking distance to many restaurant and stores. This hotel is also a 50 min walk from the airport and a 5 min walk to the ferry that takes you to the island. Very well located.

The hotel is located by the old Venetian port, is easy to get to and has parking.

Wonderful staff, great location, clean and comfortable accommodation. We reserved the junior suite and it was nice and spacious. Every member of the staff we interacted with was helpful, friendly, and genuine. Location was perfect and we were able to walk nearly everywhere. The bus station to Knossos Palace and the village of Archanes was a short less than 10 minute walk. Beautiful view of the port!

The room was spacious and my only recommendation is that perhaps grab bars into the tub would be better since it was tricky to get in and out of the shower/tub. There was a short wooden stool next to the tub but grab bars would have worked better.

We had a wonderful stay at the GDM Megaron in Heraklion. The room was a pleasure—spacious, well-appointed, and spotlessly clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. We also loved the stunning view from our room, which added to the overall experience.

Location was perfect and easy walk around the old town. The staff were awesome and very focused on ensuring we had a great stay. They had excellent recommendations for local restaurants.

Beautiful entrance with excellent reception attention. Suite has everything you need and very spacious with wonderful views of the harbour and sea. A balcony to enjoy the view in the fresh air. Design of the hotel means easy access from car parking while exit from first floor for easy access to town for shopping or dinning. We had coffee and a beer in the hotel bar and the service was exemplary. We will be returning soon.

Maybe the best hotel in Heraklion. Extraordinary view to the see ( Fortress and Port ). Large, cofortable, modern ,clean and well sundproofed rooms.Very kind staff.Rich and very varied brekfast.Good parking. Five minutes on foot from central town,. In conclusion a very , very plesant stay.

Probably the best hotel in Heraklion. Front desk service was very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was very generous with various selections, and service was very good. Location with parking was very convenient.

As we were travelling in the off-season, the small roof top pool was closed for the winter season.

The breakfast buffet was wonderful and the wait staff charming. It’s been so long since I’ve had orange juice that fresh. The bed and linens were new and comfortable. The halls and common areas were fresh and modern. Excellent modern bathroom. Housekeeping was great.

Quiet area, walking distance to downtown

The hotel was located very near to the centre of town. Staff were friendly and helpful and the self parking was great. An excellent breakfast with fresh juice, good coffee and the best range of fresh baked cakes and tarts. The only problem with Heraklion is the aircraft that need to depart over the town from the airport, we didn't notice this when inside the hotel but certainly noticed it when outside. Still a great town to visit and an good hotel to stay. Easy drive to Knossos.

The location is wonderful and very friendly to whom drive there. The port view in the window is stunning.

Excellent location for both Heraklion and to visit the rest of Crete (near the long distance bus station, car hire outlets + easy access on to the main roads avoiding the congestion in the city). Large, high ceiling room. Spectacular choice at buffet breakfast (coffee/tea/juice served at the table).

Although double glazed, the seals around the windows were not airtight. The slight draught did not matter but Heraklion airport is nearby and flights were taking off in the direction of the hotel! To give some context, the early morning flights woke me up but were not so loud that my partner was disturbed.

The hotel was gorgeous. We had a sea view room with a balcony that was just sublime. The breakfast was simply the best.

Like a maze inside, bit disorientating

Such a beautiful historical building overlooking the bay. Comfy beds and room with a couch and large bathroom.

The very welcoming staff upgraded us to a double VIP room overlooking the sea and the venetian fortress and it was a very nice surprise. We felt indeed like VIPs, the bed was comfortable, the view was amazing, everything was just perfect. Breakfast was perfect, as well. We do recommend this hotel and we hope to come back again.
