The hotel is right on the waterfront, and our room had a beautiful view of the Luiz Bridge. The welcome plate of assorted sweets and a carafe of port wine was a lovely touch. The architecture is truly stunning, with a harmonious blend of modern design and historic features.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, especially when both of my daughters came down with a stomach bug and were sick for two days. Their care and attentiveness made a difficult situation much easier.
The breakfast buffet is also worth mentioning. It offered a wide and varied selection, including local delicacies and healthy smoothies. There were many thoughtful details, such as a block of fresh honeycomb, which made the experience even more special.

At our arrival we were very warm welcomed by the frontdesk Staff. They were informative and kind.the service I call super.our room was facing the waterfront that was mega. Thx for the upgrade..breakfast was a great treat.polite hard working staff.the room was tidy and clean all in all a great experience. We certainly will go back🎄🎄👍 thamks a lot to the entire staff .

The bar didn’t seem to be open or nobody manning it. The first floor also when we popped in was freezing as the door was open. Could have done with apps on the tv for streaming services to login to

Location was a 10. Staff and hotel were excellent. Room a little small and +/- dated with bathroom being acceptable. Old/historic hotel. Excellent breakfast.

Breakfast was very comprehensive , location of the hotel excellent.

Proximity to river was great. Rooms were modern.

Perhaps being close to river the damp smell of room was more pronounced.
Cars can’t drive directly to hotel as it’s in a private square so dragging luggage uphill was a challenge.

The location is amazing, however, you must be aware that many automobiles can't (or won't) drive to the front door. Our Uber dropped us about a block away, and at least one taxi made us climb the hill to get in the car. That said, once you are in the property you are immersed in the Ribeira scene and can walk to everything. The building has an old and new part, both are kind of smallish but have great views (if you are on the river side). The breakfast is extensive and goes on until 11am - nice for tourists.

The service could have been better for a 5 star property. The onsite wine bar was especially bad - may be a recent addition. Their wine was overpriced and service was dismal.

The position on the river was perfect. The location excellent for visiting the local areas. Our room was lovely. Very central location and very helpful staff
