The bathroom was small and the shower didn't have a curtain.

Terrific location, so very convenient to walk, explore & to Metro. . Building is well maintained & clean. Staff friendly & helpful. Room is pleasant, good clean bedding. Great roof bar breakfast, .best views in Athens of Acropolis.🙂 Defimitely recommend. I am an older traveller (mid 60s) & suited my needs fine . I also stayed here in 2019 when different owner.

Small bathroom toilet but is ok .Only a small gripe but havng to pay €4 €5 ifor small bag in locked luggage bin for a few hours.

"Perfect location – highly recommended!" The location is perfect – just next to the station and within walking distance of all the main sights. There are also many great restaurants nearby. Very convenient for exploring the city!

We stayed in a family room – it was a bit small and quite noisy, which is typical for a central location, but the place had an authentic charm and character. Overall, a good experience!

Rooftop view

Absolutely fantastic location of this stay, everything's within walking distance! I loved the rooftop bar and evening views, the place was clean and the staff friendly. They have happy hour every day, but one glass of wine, the other one is free!

Curtains on the beds would be nice for better privacy, pillows were very flat and bed was squeaky.

Shared but spacious room, with balcony and view of the acropolis. Excellent location, very central.

Unfortunately, the mattress was very uncomfortable.And the mattress in a hostel is the most important part together with the location in my opinion.

In reality it was more the location when one is on the huge balcony looking across a City where there is at least three sites which only exist in Athens. As I am a 80kg 165cm man I fitted nicely into the very small lift, shower recess and toilet cubicle. A 140kg man would not. Humourous.

The reception have a deal with the Taxi Service which requires a traveller to have Cash! Most won't and don't want to. The web page suggests otgerwise but doesn't work. Would be better if it did OR simply order the Taxi and let me the client pay them directly - oops no commission I guess.

It was safe, clean, comfortable beds and great shower. Loved the security door scanning/codes. Facilities such as lockers, lounge and rooftop bar/ breakfast were fantastic. Made for a safe and easy stay. Right next to the station and busy tourist area 👍

WiFi in room did not work well which disconnected frequently.

Nice staff in the rooftop bar. Really nice view from there too, and a free shot is a sweet gesture.

The luggage lockers are for a fee. If staying in the hostel someone arrives earlier, it'd be nice to be able to leave the bags and not have to pay for it extra. It's a little weird since I am already paying for the stay and guests leaving the bags does not cause the place anything. Also lockers in the rooms require own lock, that's too bad the isn't one given for a deposit or anything like that. Not everyone travels with a lock.

Very kind staff, it's located very close to Monastiraki Square & Metro, in walking distance from Akropolis. There are lockers available before check-in, you can easily fit 6 big backpacks in the big ones. Great experience overall!!

The pillows weren't comfy and no locks at the in-room lockers.

The location is great

It was difficult to sleep well because of these factors: the double bed rattled a lot with every movement, the curtains did not darken completely, there was always a lot of light from the main street and it was very noisy because of the direct location. If they improve that it would be perfect...

Lack of cooking facilities. Not able to eat your own food onsite. A bit difficult if you have dietary issues.

They had a kettle but you needed staff to fill it which was strange. Bedside light broken.

I appreciated the warm welcome from the staff and the option to leave my baggage after checkout for a fee. The location is excellent, right in the city center, and feels very safe.

Safestay was a very nice hostel with good security, a nice hangout downstairs and a great rooftop bar! The location is incredible!

The bunk beds were quite squeaky and not that comfortable.

I arrived around 2am and the hostel was pretty easy to get to—there’s a subway from the airport before midnight, or I took a bus to a stop nearby and walked 10 mins. The area feels reasonably safe and I could see the Acropolis up on the hill as I walked which was pretty cool. The staff were lovely and very efficient. The place has a 15 minute walk up to the Acropolis so definitely great if you’re only there for a day like I was

Price/Performance rate is ok, yet not for a long stay. It just for a night or two

The breakfast didn't look sow great (only 5€ though...) buy there's enough options around The shower in my room wasn't the best, a bit small and the floor would always get wet. lucky I had my slippers 😅

This was my second time. It is a great hotel if you stay in the private rooms, considering the price and location.

The hostel is located in an excellent location. The staff was super friendly and accomodating when I wanted to leave my luggage after checkout.

Not a critique per sé, but it would be nice if the lockers would have locks and if there would be a space to dry clothes and towels.

Wonderful staff. The staff are welcoming, kind and overall fantastic people. Full of great personality. The facilities are clean. The location is the best in town. Rates are good. Met a lot of great travelers here.

No sounds proof, i booked superior double room with balcony and acropolis view, however, i ended up could not sleep comfortably as the room right below the bar and the elevator to the bar is next to the room. Very noise and early morning around 7 AM there was sound of chair friction to the floor from the bar which made a noise to the room. Also the wall is super thin so i also can hear people from the next room.

The location of this hostel was perfect! Seriously just across the road from Monastiraki Square but down a small street so that noise wasn't an issue. I loved the location and chose it for that reason. The staff were helpful and told me about restaurant choices in the opposite direction to what I would have tried, so I found a really lovely area right near the hostel thanks to them. I appreciated the self-service paid luggage lockers in the basement, that meant I could leave my items for the day when I checked out, before heading to the airport in the evening. I guess if you were island hopping and wanted to leave larger cases there too, that would be an option, as there were payments for multiple days too. The 6 bed female dorm was a bit tight, if all of us were trying to dress or get started at the same time in the morning, it would have been a little tricky, but luckily only three of us were out of bed at the same time. The en suite bathroom was good, but I would have appreciated a hand towel or bathmat in there, as it stayed quite damp. The shelf and power point for each bed was a good touch too, very convenient. Personal lockers in the room were nice and big too - make sure you have your own padlock.

The mattress on my bed was a bit tough, the springs could be felt through it, but I still slept well. The ventilation in our en-suite bathroom wasn't great, so one wall had a lot of mould growing higher up. It needs a good scrub to remove it, I'd say. There was no communal kitchen for preparing your own food.

Location is fantastic, the rooftop bar looks over the Acropolis, and they give free shots to the new guests. Room is big enough for a few nights, the shower is good size with hot water.

There were some hairs in the shower (the side part though, not where you stand)

The bed was uncomfortable and the bathroom wasn't that clean. But it was worth the money, I didn't expect a lot more. For the price it was good.

Location and Reasonable price.

Wifi was not working properly at all. Room given to me was on 3rd floor and no lift is there, although it's not very tough to climb; Light sensors in stairs were not good and could cause accident. No coffee machine or anything including water was provided which is basic in other hotels.

The staff were all amazing, very helpful and offered great advice on where to eat and do. Rooftop bar had exceptional views of the acropolis also the location is very central close to historical sites and public transport including metro to airport.

The private rooms are too basic and the pillows need updating.

The beds creak, the hostel should consider upgrading them with more stable beds since other hostels in the city providing this
