Starling Residence, Geneva

It was a correct place to stay in the city of Geneve. Clean and comfortable, simple breakfast, but nothing spectacular.

Would not be comfortable for longer stays.

We were able to check in earlier than expected to a clean and suitably sized room. The hotel has a tram stop right outside which you’re able to use with your complimentary travel pass to all of the necessary locations.

We weren’t aware that Geneva used slightly different EU plugs to most places we’ve visited in Europe but this isn’t a fault of the hotel.

The room thermostat was set at 22 celsius, a bit too cold for us, the staff arranged for portsble heater for us quite quickly.

Great location, nearby the Uni Mail campus. Nothing too fancy, only the important features: a nice bed and a good shower.

Good location (walking distance to old town and restaurants and coffee shops nearby) and tram stop just in front. Nice to have a little kitchenette to make meals. Staff were friendly. Great value for money!

Room was spacious & comfortable. Tram stop right outside the front door.

Aircon unit is portable & needs to be connected outside - a bit cumbersome. Room was not serviced during our 3 night stay.

We had a very nice staying at Starling. The staff is very polite, in particular the guy at the reception and the girl in the breakfast room. Overall, we have appreciated a lot the position of this accomodation and the breakfast.

Nothing in particular. Perhaps just that the room was a bit dark in the evening as, not considering the entrance, there were only lamps

Exceptionally clean room which was much larger than we expected it to be. The staff at reception very friendly and welcoming. Overall we had a really pleasant stay and the hotel was opposite a tram stop so it was very convenient to get to via public transport.

Only one pillow (per person) and it was very soft, having an extra pillow and a firmer pillow would have been preferable, but thats just a personal thing. The breakfast selection was good quality, but not the widest range of goods compared to other places.

Only little thing was the shower head leaking and lighting over bathroom sink could be improved.

The room was highly similar to the pictures and clean. The location was very convenient (tram stop in front of the hotel) and the staff was helpful. Good value for money. All in all, I would definitely go back.

Booked 2 rooms here, both rooms were spacious with air con. Bathroom was good size. Cooking facilities available aswell. Tram stop 1 min walk across the road, easy location

Value for money, location, own kitchen which can be nice when you don't want to eat outside every day of your stay

The cleaning staff opened the door in the morning before checkout without knocking to the door nor checking if I still was in the room.

as it was so close to the main road, it was really loud despite windows being close

Clean and comfy apartment with many grocery stores nearby. Conveniently located just opposite the tram station.

Nothing much though the rooms could be slightly bigger given that there’s a kitchen inside.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and the information provided in advance was helpful. Provinding downloadable Geneva Transport Cards valid from the day of arrival was excellent. I would stay again and recommend to friends.

Nothing really (apart, perhaps that a second chair in the room would have been useful).

The room was of a good size and equipped with all that needed. Kitchen provided stove, microwave, and a fridge. Beds was fine for the hotel. Hotel is situated around 2km from a railway station, nice walking route, and tram stop is on a doorstep. There are several pubs, restaurants and shops in the neighborhood. In overall the hotel was clean, modern and fucntional.

Desk had a weird surface that computed mouse did not work.

The breakfast was very good and offered a great variety.

The rooms are not cleaned every day. You stay for more than one night you have to ask for new towels. We were told they only clean once a week if you stay longer. Just basic shampoo & body wash. No conditioner.

Very nicely located and clean hotel in Geneva perfect for a short stay. The staff was great and very helpful. The location is easily accessible with a tram stop right in front of the hotel. For the value it's great.

It is conveniently located and has all of the amenities that you could want. It’s always clean and comfortable and the staff are accommodating and friendly.

We had to book an option with breakfast included and we believe that the options were quite limited for breakfast especially as my partner is vegan.
