Hostel Lisbon Calling

We LOVED this accommodation, the room was very cool with all of the antique furniture and lights. We loved the disco ball and pictures in the bathroom. The host was lovely and very communicative. We will definitely be back! The location was wonderful! The bed was comfortable and we loved the quiet.

The wifi didn't work very well in the room.

The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. From the moment I arrived, Vera was eager to offer invaluable tips on the best places to visit, dine, and explore. Her local knowledge truly enhanced my trip, making it feel like I was discovering hidden gems rather than just tourist spots. The rooms themselves were immaculate and exceptionally comfortable. It was evident that cleanliness and design are priorities here, and returning to such a spotless and inviting space each day was a pleasure. The accommodations were well-appointed, providing all the comforts of home and then some. Overall, this rental property exceeded my expectations in every way. If you're looking for a place to stay in Portugal that combines friendly, knowledgeable service with top-notch comfort and cleanliness, look no further. This is a gem of a find!

The private room was very nicely decorated and spacious.We had a great view of the old church, the street and the time out market is very near us. Vera and Olga were very nice and very accommodating. I would go back to this place again hopefully in near future..

Great location - near train/metro station, Pink Street and city center. Everything was clean and please is very cozy :)

We could hear every noise from the corridor and staircase.

Great location in the old city, super convenient to walk out the door and be in the middle of everything. Fun and funky decor in a beautifully renovated older building. The mattress was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Vera was very helpful :)

On a football/soccer Saturday night it got pretty noisy in the street, but otherwise it was a fairly quiet location. Bathroom could have used a few more hooks not in the shower area.

The decorations are adorable, the property is spacious, and the location is excellent. It is well insulated so the sound from outside doesn’t carry.

There could have been more attention paid to cleanliness. There were spots on my towel and sheets and the floor had dirt in some areas.

Great room, location, staff. Lisbon is high priced these days, but within that context, this is a great option. Old, cool building- so all that comes with that- but that was part of the charm for us.

Fabulous quirky spot to stay. We had family room which was huge for the two of us and a funky en-suite. Good lounge and kitchen facilities available. Excellent location.

If you want the windows open at night the street noise will keep you awake. But there’s a fan in the room.

Cool quirky Lisbon-style furniture. Great shower pressure. Elevator in building was great. Central location in Chiado. Many eateries nearby and near tram stops. Room was extra large.

Arrived at 8am and had to wait till 10am for check in. Staff directed me to either have breakfast at a nearby cafe or to store my luggage in lockers in another place nearby

Superb accommodation with a lot of creative character! Our room overlooked the Praça de São Paulo, and was massive(!), quiet, full of natural light and beautifully charming decor. Shared bathroom was clean and tidy. Self check in process was easy - We met the lovely hostess the following day and she sent us a superb list of recommendations for things to do, places to eat etc. Staying here, you are mere meters from Pink Street and Time Out Market. Commerce Square and all forms of public transport are within easy walking proximity. An excellent base for exploring Lisboa!

The room was great and the location was perfect. The character and special touches throughout the property made this place very cool

The distance it took to walk to the bathroom and that there was only one. We didn’t have too many issues, but more bathrooms would have been preferred

Large room. Great big windows looking down on the street. Large washroom with rainfall shower. Comfortable large bed. Kitchen area if needed. Lots of character and high ceiling.

Be aware of the party location very close to “Pink Street”. The street below does not get quiet until 5:30 am. Extremely loud people and vehicles.

The shared kitchen was very nice and the location of the aparment was close to everything.

Honestly, it wasn't our cup of tea. Our room was very poorly equipped. There wasn't any closet or shelf where we could have put our clothes and things. There was no proper light in the room, only a weak, red light, and all the noise from the corridor filtered through the door. The bathroom is tiny, there is no hair dryer, no shower gel, no cabinet. However there is a window in the bathroom which looks at the balcony which has no curtain so if you go in naked, people in the balcony will see you.

The mattress could be better

Super welcome, cosy and unique place to stay in central Lisbon. Designated in very special and artistic way! We really loved this place and hope one day stay there again!special huge thanks for tour hospitality, great tips and help with our trip!

Few small things to improve but still everything was great. Shampoo/ bath soap in a shower could be nice. Not transferable window curtains for better sleeping for not morning persons😉 Bottle of water even for extra charge.

This is a lovely place for budget minded travelers in Lisbon. Nice comfy bed and very clean. Very good communication with the staff as I arrived very late.

We stayed in the Fresco room and the only thing I would say is there is a picture of a man on top of the toilet that is creepy, hopefully they will remove it

Very comfortable, spacious, well equipped, easy to find & host Luisa was quick to respond to our arrival & any communication.

The property had 3 showers & toilets so v comfortable for the 6 of us staying but had erratic hot water to the ensuite shower. This was not a big problem as we could use one of the others.

Vera is very welcoming! check in and check out went smoothly. The room itself was very sweet and quiet. Location is perfect, very close to the main attractions. I would be happy to come back

The hostess was very nice and helpful. Sent me a lot of things on what to do of activities. Always answering any question I had.

Liked everything

Location, location, location PLUS Laura the owner was super with recommendations for places to visit. Location was within meters of Time Out Market, Pink Street and most importantly Metro, Rail and Ferry terminal.

Superb location in the city center, nice furnishing, and hassle-free self check-in process. The shared bathroom is not a problem, you can even see if it's occupied from your bedroom (the Buddha by the door will tell you). Great value for money.

Walls are thin, you can easily hear the other guests moving around the house.

Location is just perfect - central of the city and easily to connect for all methods of transportation. Place has unique, quirky decoration that we enjoyed. Vera is very helpful and pleasant person who took her time to give us great recommendations. For sure we will stay again.

Nothing - all was great

The hotel is very well located, a stone's throw from the center and easy to reach by metro from the airport. The rooms are spacious, clean and with a very interesting style. The common space for breakfast is functional and has everything you need. The staff were friendly, willing to help and superbly courteous.

Honestly, everything was in line or over the expectation and there is very little of which I could complain.

The room was very comfortable and nice and very clean. The hostel itself had an extraordinary, artistic atmoshpere which we liked a lot. The bathrroom and the common places were also clean and the breakfast that was offered was also nice . We would stay there again.

Great spot and lovely decorated appartment in which you straight feel at home. I'd love to come back for a longer stay. Host very friendly and welcoming. So far best booking ever !!!

The room is big and pretty clean, very quiet at night. It's near the metro and all the cool stuff. Chatting with the host Vera was easy and quick. Check-in was smooth, no issues.

The room had red lights, and the bathroom had a disco ball. At night, there are a lot of drunk or homeless people around. In the morning, no shops or coffee places are open before 8 o'clock. There's only one hairdryer for all the guests in the property.

Lovely, quirky, unique property, always like to find something a bit out of the ordinary. Very comfortable and spacious. amazing location. Staff friendly and helpful. Basic self serve breakfast provided and kitchen facilities so if you want you can buy your own bits to add to the basic breakfast.

Nothing really, having a portable air con unit / extra fans in rooms would have been helpful and I would say a must in warmer months .

It's quite exquisite. The room was very spacious, the bathroom quite small. Nevertheless, everything was very clean and the kitchen was suitably equipped with everything you might need. Every room has got a separate space in the fridge, that came in quite handy. Breakfast can be enjoyed on the small balcony.

Lighting in the room could have been better - the ceiling lamp had a red cover and wasn't very bright. But that's nohting to really complain about. 1st world problem.

Bed was comfortable, wifi was intermittent depending on where you stood in the room. No real place to put luggage. Some outlets did not work. Vera was wonderful and very helpful.

Outlets should work. Perhaps a place for luggage and much better wifi.

Location close to metro and just next to a minimarket, nicely decorated and sufficiently spacious room, nice common room, breakfast with bread, cheese, butter, jam, yogurt and cereal included, 24h check-in due to code at entrance.

Rooms are part of one big apartment, so depending on other guests it can be a bit noisy (no sounds can be heard from the street though), weekday breakfast starts only at 8.30 (and effectively at 8.40).

Too many ppl share one bathroom

The location is amazing! Walking distance to everywhere, and near a train station to go to Belém and Cascais. The staff was very friendly.

During the night the main hall was super dark, we had to use our cellphones to find our room. The shower was a bit clogged.

Exceptionally lovely and nicely decorated interior and rooms, very spacious; really nice and helpful staff; great location for sightseeing trips (close to center and metro/train/ferry but a bit shabby neighbourhood); kitchen ready to use

Beware, this is a hostel, so you will share the kitchen; the private bathrooms (every room of the three has one) are outside the main room; also, it is one huge old appartment (turned into a hostel) so you will hear other people coming and going (a bit like living in a very beautiful shared flat); breakfast was good but minimalistic

Great location and quite stylish place! It is really easy to access and it feels like getting your own place in Lisbon. I loved the tiny table on the balcony to catch the sun in the morning for breakfast!

Beautiful rooms, comfortable beds and friendly staff. Authentic interior and a lot of space in the common areas. Perfect location and good value for money!

All was good

The location was 10/10, owner was very responsible and friendly. There were supermarket and coffees shops right downstairs and metro station just 3mins walk. Almost all main tourist spots were in walking distance.

I can't say this was very bad but definitely not many people like this and I wished I had mentally prepared. The decorations were terrifying especially the lights they used. It was so weird that they used sharp blue, red, orange and yellow lights. Even in room the biggest lamp was in red and it really freaked me out as we arrived at midnight. And there was a party ball in the bathroom which made me feel not so uncomfortable with all the decorations.

Lovely staff, such unique accommodations. We had a very large room with large bed and 2 sets of bunkbeds. Old charming building, decorations one-of-a-kind. Loved it. Our two large windows looked out at a piazza and church. Breakfast was laid out in the kitchen and you could eat at a communal table or at the couch. Would gladly visit again. Large bathroom with two showers and two stalls were down the hall from the room.

It could get pretty loud at night, it's in an area with clubs and bars, in our case drunk people shouted and sang into the night. My husband took a short walk at night and was offered drugs at the piazza.

Vera (host) was really helpful and friendly. Rooms were on 3.rd floor with elevator. I really liked the interior of the rooms (kitchen, shared bathroom). Shared bathroom was cozy (like in the apartment). Continental breakfast was good (bread, butter, yogurt, juice, jam, cheese).

Only negative thing was the floor, which was squeaky when moving around, so we heard everyone walking outside our room.

super cute place, very nicely decorated and very comfortable. we enjoyed the mornings especially when you could hear the birds sing through the window. Breakfast was basic but a nice start to the day : )

only minus was that it did’t have stuff like shower gel and shampoo

Great location, quirky room the kids LOVED. Decor is very cool and it's great ro have access to a kitchen. Staff was really lovely, especially the lady who organized breakfast and went out of her way to make my kids comfortable. It's right by the time out market. Parking was very close and convenient (pre paid online).

Worth being aware that it's an old building so you do hear the other rooms and people coming in and out. Bring earplugs. Bathroom wasn't attached to the room which was fine for us
