Clean room, comfortable bed, nice coffee & tea facility to use.

Difficult to find parking spot

Loved having the balcony overlooking the park. The kitchen was very useful and well equipped. We really enjoyed exploring the area.

All hotels in the area seemed very expensive for what you get.

Excellent...calm, quiet, super bed and linens...wanted to stay longer just for that.Christopher was kind and helpful. For an exhausted traveler that meant a lot!

The hotel was in a great location. Our room was beautiful and clean. Breakfast was great and the staff was friendly. The bathroom could have been slightly bigger and a better hair dryer in our room.

Unique urban neighborhood auberge, much more interesting than staying in a chain hotel. Room and bed are comfortable. Lots of places to dine, and staff offer recommendations. Parc Lafontaine across the street is lovely.

Even understanding that there are no elevators, the turns and half-steps on stairs are difficult for older or infirm travelers. Constant construction (though this is true in much of Montréal) makes street access a bit difficult.

Charming hotel in a beautiful old building. The updates and renovations to make it a hotel are tasteful and maintain the charm. The staff are friendly and helpful. The optional breakfast is good and convenient. The location was great for us because we like to walk and explore. Good restaurants and cafes are close at hand.

Climbing the stairs with suitcases is a bit of a challenge but worth it and is keeping with the vintage of the building.

The staff is very professional and polite. The location of the hotel in Plateau Mont-Royal is perfect! Next to the parc Lafontaine, next to La Banquise and a lot of nice restaurants. The room were comfortable and spacious. Was easy for my old mom to get around.

This was my first time in Montreal and I was so pleasantly surprised at this charming place that was very vintage but with the right amount of modern touches. It was very clean well maintained with lovely artwork on the walls, a nice modern bathroom with brand new sink, toilet and a very roomy tub/shower. Loved the hardwood floors and the windows. It was situated right across the street from a park with restaurants, cafe's and other stores nearby.

The TV in the room had a problem with picture as it was zoomed in too large making half the image cut off. It was also a little warm but with the cool evenings and early mornings just keeping the window open helped to rectify that.

Beautiful hotel in a historic building in a great location, just accross Park La Fontaine, but quiet and secluded. Staff was just amazing. Best ice creams in the city just a block away. We would definitely go back.

The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, but not much fruit provided.

Cleaning of room. Although I reused my towels during my stay, I did leave a couple of small towels in the tub one day thinking that they would be replenished but they weren't. I needed to ask for fresh towels. The floor was not swept each day. Would have been nice if it was!

Very nice Hotel in my favorite area of Montreal with many nice restaurants, bars, cafés and shops nearby. Nice room decoration and very friendly personnel. Exactly what I expected. We will come back next time.

Location was magical. Quiet, homely and with so much within walking distance. Team were the loveliest and made us feel so welcome. Room was amazing. Super comfortable, very spacious.

Only thing I would add is a kettle in the room. As an English woman I love my cuppa!! And whilst I was made welcome to use kitchen ...its not always convenient. But thats it! I would still go back tomorrow 😍

I didn't know we would be on the third floor. Ugh! I wish there had been a coffee maker in our room. Very far to carry coffee up 3 flights of stairs! Perhaps supply disposable cups with lids?

The hotel is small, but it’s located in a lovely, green neighborhood very close to the city center. In the evening, you can enjoy the cool breeze in the park just across the street – it’s lively and safe. We had a very pleasant stay! We stayed in two different rooms and didn’t hear any noise at all – no neighbors or anything else that could disturb us. The beds were very comfortable, and we appreciated the robes provided in the rooms. Communication with the hotel was 100% positive – they were always helpful and quick to respond to any questions or requests. Thank you! A wonderful place to get to know Montreal better.

Breakfast was excellent, fresh and lots of choices. I loved it when the owner came down and said hello and chatted with us briefly (nice touch). I loved the location right across from the park. very welcoming.

Great location, i enjoyed the park across the street and the ice cream parlor down the block. I thought breakfast was a good value. The only real negative was the lack of parking. Staff was excellent and friendly. Lots of restaurants, just 2 blocks away.

Parking

We only stayed one night but the location is great. Walkable to shopping and great restaurants. The rooms were quiet and the bed was comfortable. Check-in was easy. It was a quaint old building/room but don't expect any high end fixtures or decorating. We didn't have the breakfast.

There is no elevator so you will be carrying your luggage up a few stairs to enter the building and up to your room.

some confusion with the street parking, steep stairs without any help for the luggage , not bright suite room as the windows were behind the external backstairs.

Able to walk to Old Montreal. Very accommodating staff. Safe place for our bikes. Thank you!

AC is control floor to floor so you cannot adjust the temperarure to your room or to disconnect it if needed. The blinds were not great so you get a lot of light in the morning.

They forgot to remove a pizza box in the fridge from the previous person … staff should be more careful when cleaning

The location was splendid, just across from Parc Lafontaine. You literally just cross the street to do your jogging. It was clean and quiet, near Mont Royal Avenue, where you can find many restaurants and boutiques. I would definitely go back.

Some of the front desk staff need additional training or more attention to detail. There was a mix-up with the rooms and names — my room was registered under a different name, which caused confusion and delays, especially when it came time to settle the bill. A nice woman resolved the issue in the end :)

Fabulous location, lovely and helpful reception staff (merci Serge), unique inn-style layout with a “Montreal ambiance”. We had a room facing the park and the main boulevard and there was NO noise at all from the street - amazing.

Parking sucks

Good location in nice quarter of Montreal. Parc just on other side, nice cafes / bars / clubs nearby. They were flexible to adjust our booking dates.

A beautiful building overlooking the park. Our room was comfy with everything we needed (robes, coffeemaker, etc.). The staff was very nice and professional. Definitely recommend this lovely auberge!

Breakfast was suitable for me and my travel companions, even though I am on a low-carb diet. There was oatmeal, cheese, boiled eggs, yogurt and fresh melon for me and bagels, pastries sweet breads, jams and granola for them. Plus loads of coffee and tea available at all hours. The location was perfect: directly across from Parc la Fontaine, a short walk from the metro stop (about 10 minutes.)

They ran out of plain oatmeal on the third day of my stay, although there was plenty of sweetened oatmeal which I could not eat. Also, I had to ask for extra towels as they weren't changed when the room was serviced, even though we stayed four nights. Still, they supplied them when asked.

A lovely boutique hotel with character, in a great part of the city for exploring. Very comfortable with excellent staff.
