Motel One Staatsoper, Vienna

I regularly used to stay there because of the central location and the reasonable prices. Very standard modern hotel with a very nice lobby and efficient management.

Prices have become higher and the service in the rooms is minimal (no boiler, coffee or tea in the 200€/night rooms for instance).

Perfect location. Very nice looking room and comfortable bathroom. A bed is big and comfortable.

The room was very nice. The position is excellent, very close to city center and to the subway. The staff is helpful and very nice as well.

The sink had some hair in it when we arrived. Also, there was no switch to control the main light by the bed so we had to get up and go to the main door whenever we wanted to turn it off. Lastly, it would have been nice to have a phone in the room to reach the reception.

Very close to all main locations! Belvedere 15 min, Opera 2 min, historical center 10 min by foot. Modern, clean hotel. Breakfast is OK, but very limited. Overall if you do not need anything luxury / extra, this is a very convenient option for a short stay.

Soundproofing between room and hallway is average, but it did not disturb us much (generally it’s very quiet during the night). Breakfast is very crowded.

The hotel is in a good location—not right next to the main station but still well connected by public transport, so getting around was easy. The area felt safe and had a few nice spots nearby to grab a bite. The room was clean, modern, and cozy. It had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.

The position is super central, close to metro station and trambus stops. The surrounding area is full or bars, shops and restaurants.

The location is exceptional. Our main goal of the trip was Viena State Opera, so it was amazing how close the hotel is to the Opera house and all the cafes (legendary Sacher and Mozart). Everything was closer than it looked on the map. Staff was friendly, rooms clean. There is a very nice lobby bar on the ground floor open till late hours, great for a night cap.

the room is good for a short stay, but for a longer stay it lacks some storage space or a closet. Other than that, the hair dryer in my room was not working at its full capacity and the shower stove kept turning to one side, so it was a bit tricky to shower.

This was the best hotel I ever stayed in especially at that price. It was also the first place that offered fully vegan breakfast if you wanted it. Incredible. It’s insane how centered it was to the center. Couldnt get better.

We booked two rooms for four people with no breakfast. My in laws got the room that was booked and shown in the app. We got an free upgrade which had a bigger bed and and the room was larger. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly. Nothing exceptional but for a few days totally worth it. Location is great with underground train lines, light rail and Bus Service only a few hundred meters away.

Excellent breakfast. Very good location. Plenty of comfortable seating areas and the bar staff were really friendly, efficient and helpful. Everywhere was very clean and the staff were all very efficient and helpful.

The bedroom was very small and basic. Nowhere to put clothes. 3 hangers but no wardrobe so I could not unpack my case. The shower was excellent but no shower cap supplied.

From checking in to departure, everything went well.

Steps in breakfast area made carrying food both difficult and dangerous for older folk.

The hotel was immaculate - so clean and we loved the modern design. It’s in an excellent location close to the opera and city centre. Our room was on the 4th floor and was quiet and the bed was super comfy. The bar was lovely as well with a great selection of spirits. Tip: ask for tap water or you’ll be charged €6.50 for a 70cl bottle.

Difficult to find my room through all the fire doors - but I can’t object to safety doors

Conveniently located near the opera house and across the street from a parking garage (not included in price of the room, but it was worth it so we didn’t have to walk across the city to find a place for our rental car — also it was not the hotel’s discounted garage, which is a few blocks away). The bed was comfortable, and the windows were able to open to enjoy the views. The street market is just around the corner and the opera is steps away as well as the metro and tram stops. Great location for tourists to see the city.

Location, since it's one block form the Staatsoper. And each time I go to Vienna is to go to Staatsoper for some performance. The personnel at MotelOne is overall very kind and helpful. Some of them a little less but maybe they have to learn better. On this trip I was especially unlucky because on the arrival day, my wallet with cash and credit cards was stolen in central Vienna. And I needed the help of the girl at the reception to scan some document to be sent to the insurance. And she was extremely kind and understanding. Many thanks ! And I always like the lounge of MotelOne. Nice personnel and nice ambiance

Spacious common areas with beautiful interior design details.

Somewhat disappointing was the poor choice of hot food for breakfast (only boiled eggs) but the fresh pastries were nice.

Hotel in the heart of Vienna, excellent location. Nice design, beautiful old building, reconstracted with taste. Breakfast was good, wide choice of pastry and bread, lots of choice for vegans as well. Very nice waiter who was walking amoung people offering sweet pastry or fruit - original, personal approach, we liked it. Price - quality very good, our stay fulfilled our demands.

We missesed a bit wider choice of warm meals for breakfast - like scrambled eggs, sausages. There were only cooked eggs.
