Hotel Orto de’ Medici, Florence

hotel interiors and design was very classy and modern, airy and clean at all times, staff was very accomodating, cheerful and have very excellent customer service, special mention to ms judith at the front desk, breakfast choices of food was just right but can be improved by adding a little more, special mention to the lady in-charge, she made sure we had everything we asked for, had a very pleasant stay here. we forgot some personal belongings in the hotel but when i emailed, staff were quick to respond and arrange for how we can retrieve our items

Hotel Orto de Medici is a delightful find near Florence's key attractions. Conveniently close to the train station, its charm captivates. The staff is exceptionally courteous, always ready to offer helpful advice. The hotel manager pleasantly surprised us with a room upgrade, ensuring a memorable stay. The food is tasty and also includes all options for those with allergies. We'll certainly return to this exceptional gem.

If you use hair conditioner or love to greet the morning in a dressing gown, remember to bring these with you. In the room, you will find beautifully scented soaps, slippers, shampoo, shower gel, and body lotion. The lack of a wardrobe in the room isn't much of an issue as there are always hangers and shelves for suitcases available. Coffee enthusiasts should visit local cafes, as the coffee served at the hotel breakfast isn't the Italian delicacy we adore.

The staff were exceptional. Everyone bent over backwards to be helpful and to make us comfortable . Mariel was particularly helpful. Young bartender also very nice

We would have liked a bar in the hotel but it’s opening was seasonal and commenced in early May.

Spacious, clean light and modern. Staff are amazing very friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend to family and friends and would love to return one day.

We found nothing to dislike our only disappointment was the roof garden wasn’t open but that was due to the timing of our visit and no fault of the hotel.

The breakfast was very good with many choices. The staff were attentive and polite. The garden room was spacious and comfortable.

Staff members were all nice, Judith & Ana (reception) & the very nice, jolly lady at the breakfast place. Room size was good, we were a group of 3 and there’s enough space for us and luggages.

A bit far from SMN Station. If you plan on walking from SMN to the hotel, a little challenging as the streets are a bit tight

Amazing place a stones throw from the main attractions in Florence. Breakfast was incredible, staff were accommodating and the garden was beautiful!

Beds weren’t the most comfortable. Room was hot and no air con although we were given a fan upon request.

The staff was the best part of our stay - from the front desk to the breakfast room to the bar and cleaners, everything about the hotel was lovely and enjoyable.

Stylish decor and well appointed rooms with excellent bed, linen and towels. Friendly and attentive service by all of the staff. Super location only minutes from great restaurants and the major sights.

Shame the bar isn’t open during the off season.

The rooms were clean, modern and the breakfast was delicious.

The room was exceptionally warm, even when the air conditioning temperature was changed to try cool it down. I'm not sure if I used it correctly though so may be my fault!

Location was rather central to many attractions.

Very centrally located. Only 15min walk to Duomo. Close to many restaurants and shops. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good too.
