Noise on a Saturday night is louder than you would want. Bring ear plugs.

The room was very basic. The water in the sink only ran hot. Basic amenities like iron, ironing board, coffee machine, microwave, all were missing. They didn't even give basic toileteries like body lotion or shampoo which are usually present in all hotels. Location security was also questionable. Breakfast not included.

The room is nice and bed is large and super comfy. TV works well, although you could do with a guide. Not many other facilities like a coffee machine etc unless we didn't find them. I liked the toiletries and powerful shower.

Kept awake until 2am by the rooftop party (we were on floor 5). We mentioned this to the staff at check out, hoping they'd offer some compensation (money off/free breakfast etc) as a good will gesture or at least an apology but the woman on the desk couldn't have cared less. She simply said 'Yeah makes sense, as it did go on until 2". They need to better soundproof the rooms, warn guests, offer earplugs etc. I am pregnant so the disruption to my sleep is even more of an issue. We mentioned this as well as she barely reacted. We told the hotel so they could try to resolve this problem, rather than just leave a bad review, but that was clearly of no concern to her. It's very expensive for one night and when you have such bad sleep and unresponsive staff it's not worth it.

Be warned - this is a bit of a 'party' hotel. The rooftop gets really loud, and the walls are thin. Our shower didn't work properly and the hot water was hit and miss.

No towels in the bedroom?! Due to “A full house the night before”. No available plug socket’s, as a mirror was over them so great difficulty to iron clothes. No iron or coffee facilities In the room.

The noise. They put us on the 5th level and the rooftop party went on all night. The rug also was filthy. They cleaned a spot before we got there so the smell of cleaner was so bad!

I thought the interior of the hotel felt rundown and dirty. The shower was also incredible hard to get into, the shower door opened the wrong way so I had to squeeze inside against a cold wall.

The staff were very hospitable. It was located wi to in walking distance from the metro station. Many cafes and eating joints close to the hotel, the hotel restaurants were good too

The rooms were minimalistic, there was minimal natural light in the room that we got. Other than the bed, there was not even a couch to sit on or place the luggage. Only the bathroom was accessible, rest of the room was small and regular

Rooms are clean and staff is very pleasant and helpful.

The parking is $50+ a night, yikes! The rooftop bar will keep you awake until 2 AM and rattle the walls rendering any attempts at sleep futile. You can complain but they will only move you to a different room that shakes just as badly. The restaurant is pleasant but overpriced. I will never book this hotel again, even if I were younger.

I will never stay here again, nightly the hotel has a rooftop bar and the level of the music can be heard throughout the hotel and in my case the windows were vibrating. This goes on until 2 am or midnight depending of the day. The staff moved me from one room to another it it didn’t help at all. They should operate a bar or a hotel. Not both. The worst hotel experience EVER!

This hotel was amazing and I would highly recommend staying here. The staff was super helpful, check-in process is smooth. Walking distance to everything Hollywood, I felt safe. The best feature of the hotel is probably the rooftop bar. Keep in mind the rooftop is open to the public and you may need to go up early or make reservations for a table. Later at night they open up the dance floor and have a live DJ. It was a lot of fun, left a little early to go to bed and you cannot hear the music from the bedroom.

Great location, close to everything

The staff were great, the location was very handy and the food was nice.

I stayed on a Thursday/friday/saturday and it seems that’s when the rooftop club is in full swing, I was on the fifth it was so loud I could here it through my ear plugs and it was very distressing. The staff were very understanding and moved me to a lower floor the next night but I could still hear the pounding bass from the 3rd floor. I would not stay there again or recommended anyone to stay again just on the noise basis. The use of air freshener was also very over whelming.

It’s our third time here and we still love it. Love the location, the rooms and the staff. The rooftop restaurant is great with an amazing view !

The hotel is well located and the staff is very nice. The bed is comfortable. The bar and rooftop are nice and animated. I didn't experience noise issues as mentioned in other comments as the weather was bad and some rooftop parties cancelled.

No furniture in the rooms, nowhere to tidy up your stuff. No chair in the room, just a hard bench. If you have to work, it's not comfortable at all. Bathroom is ok but very few stuff provided, just a little shampoo sample. Most hotels now have soap and shampoo bottles inside the shower.

The customer service was wonderful and the room was very clean.

Mama’s Shelter was in a perfect location, within walking distance of the conference I was attending. The staff were very polite and friendly. They heard my request for a quiet room and I was completely satisfied. I would’ve liked to have stayed longer.

It was a bit expensive. The Bar was noisy, but it was happy hour, so I guess that’s to be expected. I would have also appreciated a few other options for breakfast. I paid on the last day to have yogurt over my choices of eggs and bacon or pancakes.

The rooms were eclectic and fun with bright cheerful decor, unusual posters, frames and lamp shades. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was large and clean, but the basin was a strange shape and water messed easily on to the floor. Our room was on the 5th floor which we were happy about considering the ground floor/lobby/restaurant area transforms into a nightclub and bar area from 9pm. luckily, the noise stopped just after 1am. The hotel has a lovely rooftop bar area with good views of Hollywood and comfortable chairs to relax in.

Unfortunately during our check out at the front desk at 5am, the staff member assisting us was rude, arrogant and wouldn't allow us to finish a sentence. We had arranged with another staff member the previous evening to effect a refund on our account, which was not reflecting. The staff member refused to acknowledge our information and kept saying that we needed to pay in full. When we tried to explain to her what had happened, she stood up and walked away and then spent 20 minutes telling the security man how badly she had been treated and that she would not deal with customers like us. we left upset and will not return or recommend the hotel.

Vents in toilet so loud, it prevents you from sleeping. Oily smell in room. One sad soap bar provided.

Fun, cool decor; delicious food at the downstairs restaurant; friendly staff. I was thrilled with the policy of a fixed service charge + 3% for staff health insurance!

it has a very home-like quality while still maintaining a boutique hollywood hotel vibe. i LOVE how our tub and glass enclosed shower were pretty much right next to bed. toilet was in a separate closet on the other side of the room. the walls are soundproof, bed comfy, close to palladium, so this is my go-to fav when i attend a show.

Do not recommend if you are a bit older and dont want loud music singing you to sleep, but if u do this is the place for u, party all night !!!

Employees od the hotel are really nice and helpful. We were bit surprised with 200$ deposit but it was returned with no issue after checkout.

Not sure if this is hotel or night club. Owner should decide what this place should be. It was really bad to come back after a long day in the city and not be able to sleep till 12/2 am because of super loud music on the rooftop bar. And by loud I mean really loud. Like it is playing from next door.

Staff were 15 out of 10. Rooms lovely and well appointed.

I'm sure they've had this before, but I feel like coffee-making facilities in-room are a human right. :) it's not a deal breaker but I'd come again in a heartbeat if it was so.

great bed, ok price/value for LA, good roof top bar and 3-4 bars/resturants in house - didnt try this time.

if a drink is 16.- but you end paying 23.- without tips... thats just not OK. I feel the US pricing system is non transparent. I dont care how much tax the owner pays - i just wanna know how much I am paying.

The room was a decent size. It was affordable for the night we needed a hotel for an event.

Location was convenient for my purposes and the air conditioning was strong, which was great during a particularly hot August visit. The room was a good size for one traveler, and despite being right under the bar, it was not excessively loud.

The bathroom was lacking — minimal products came with the place, which seems off for what is marketed as a luxury hotel. Similarly, no room service was available, which was difficult after a long day of work commitments. Also, there were creepy superhero masks used as lampshades near the bed which was not great for me.

Great hotel. Very friendly staff, comfortable room (though we would have liked to be able to turn off the LED lights). The rooftop bar/restaurant was fun. Again, the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive.

The location was a bit seedy. Probably a different story if you had a car. Public transport not desirable and the cost of Ubers is definitely something to consider. Also, after 3 weeks in the USA, this was the first hotel that didn't offer toiletries in the bathroom, or even glasses in the room to have a drink of water, let alone tea or coffee.

Rooms decorated nicely in music and movie themes, comfy bed, ample power outlets in bathroom and near bed, plenty of table/shelf space (no drawers or much hanging space though), good breakfast options and big rooftop bar.

Popular rooftop bar so quite often you were battling queues of bar customers to get to the lifts in the small reception area. Close to transport and tourist attractions but Hollywood location can be sketchy sometimes.

Good location. We knew it was going to be super noisy from the previous review so that wasn’t an issue.

There was a light in our room that was placed real silly and we kept hitting our heads on it.

The bathroom was very strange without a tub or shower door. Never seen anything like it. Very caught off guard and confused by it.

Centrally located which makes going into work super easy! The staff were SO so good, they always remembered me and everyone was so kind.

The carpets- guys, you have GOT to get the stains sorted, it’s gross.

hotel has a roof and we decided to have some drink at our last night bu we learned that there was a private party that night and we are not allowed to go up😡our last night was terrible so we stayed at oyr room all night😬how is it possible!!!!!!!so do not advertise that hotel has a roof and roof bar if we are not able to use.last night was bed.I do not know how was is and whether they had parties on the other nights becouse I was nıt at tha hotel.so I used no facilities at the hotel.
