LaGare Hotel, Milan

Property was clean in general. When we got our room there was 2 half empty bottles of water and the bed had imprints of people sitting on it. We called down to the front desk and complained. The room was then cleaned and we revived a box of chocolates. Wasn’t the best start to the trip, but overall the hotel is clean.

Food in the restaurant was shocking. Being in Italy you would expect the food to be tasty, especially a pasta dish, however it was disgusting. We ordered pasta and meatballs, the presentation was horrible and then the taste…. It was like it was microwaved, the meatballs were tiny, very unpleasant looking and they tasted disgusting.. didn’t taste like meat. Couldn’t eat it.

The service from the staff was exceptional. They are friendly, professional and helpful. The room was really nice but would have been nicer if there was more space. The location was perfect for getting to and from our explorations around the city. It rained a few times throughout the trip, so it handy that the hotel provided umbrellas as they came in handy. We were also able to take them with us when we left, which we were grateful for. The breakfast was amazing, we only wish we had the more room to eat more. Lol. The designs, interior and smell around the hotel was amazing.

The King room was smaller than expected. The view from the hotel wasn't great, but no fault to the hotel of course.

The room is rather small, and i had double charge when checking out but this was resolved about 1 week later.

the property is very clean and has a great location. a lot of restaurants are in the neighbourhood en its very close to the train station.

Feeling secured and safe. Very close to train station. A big and comfortable bed.

Air con. can’t adjust down the temp and it is somehow quite cold.

Lighting

A good option if you need to move around a lot with trains, as it is located near Milan Centrale. Not a great neighbourhood I have to say. No breakfast included, but they do offer self-made coffee (there is a coffee machine and free of charge capsules in the room) every morning.

Room was rather small, no breakfast included. Not situated in the most beautiful area of Milan, however, proximity to train station is a plus if you are using trains a lot.

The location is fantastic for the train station and only a short walk to all the main attractions and shopping. The great thing about the hotel is that it is a new build and very comfortable.

It is disappointing however that access to the sauna and spa (not the treatments) is not complimentary with the room stay.

Nice modern hotel with great staff. Location is a bit out from centre, but with public transport this is not an issue. Close to some really nice local restaurants and near the beautiful BAM park.

The roof top bar is nice, however it is just way to expensive, €12 for a small bottle of beer and €20 for a cocktail. Hotel has a wellness centre but charges €30 for guests, have never seen this in a hotel before. The king room is actually really small, not much space when 2 suitcases are laid out.

Nothing was bad. When planning a business trip for 11 people. Its very nice when not too many things unexpected gets wrong.

The beds was not separated and when tehy finally was, tha space between them was very poor.

Great location near central station. Terrific rooftop bar and lounge; popular with younger crowd. Nice breakfast buffet.

Rooms are very small and a bit cramped especially when there are two people per room. A bit pricey for the room size.

Good shower, friendly and attentive staff, smooth check-in and check-out. Rooftop bar gives a great view of the city. Generally excellent decor.

Bed was just high enough for our cats to hide under without us being able to retrieve them. Room advertised as having bath + shower but only had shower. Room service was uncovered and only average.

Loved the breakfast. Everything I wanted was available. And the quality was superb. The Skybar is a hidden gem to experience sunset in Milan

The cleaning lady did not replenish the toiletries and the minibar. , The Spa facility was not what I expected. It was NOT exclusive. So I could not relax knowing there are males in the same sauna/pool/turkish bath... I felt uncomfortable 😩😩😩 I tooo the last slot (9-11pm) and the cleaning lady was hurrying to go home and just left me to figure out things for myself. I have NEVER been treated this was in ANY SPA ANYWHERE in the world.

The staff is friendly & the hotel is very well designed.

To be honest I‘d expect that the Spa is included in such a priceclass.
