Hotel Cumbres Lastarria, Santiago

The hotel was ideally situated in Lastarria where there were some great bars and restaurants. Stayed two days one of which had the breakfast, which was very good and the other one ‘to go’, again not bad as catching an early flight. The bed was extremely comfortable.

We arrived on Sunday to find that the roof top and downstairs bar, restaurant and pool were closed. Felt more like a concierge apartment block rather than a hotel. Later found out from staff that outside pools are closed after a certain date by government order. Pity, it had a great view and was one of the reasons we picked this hotel. The hotel had some great design features but is starting to show its age. Both the toilet and shower doors were often difficult to open. There were no power sockets by the bedside.

Great location and walking proximity to many restaurants

The room did not have a separate bathroom. The toilet and shower were common to the room and only separated by a glass door, which eliminated any sense of privacy. The glass door did not go down to the floor to create any seal for sound and odor.

The hotel is in the heart of Lastarria with bars, restaurants (including the excellent Mulato which I visited three times), cafes and more just steps away or within a comfortable walking distance. However, noise was not an issue. The room was well appointed room with the usual amenities that would be expected including a comfortable bed for a good night's sleep. Ample breakfast that was consistent with what you would find in other hotels across South America (fruit, breads, cheeses, cold cuts, an assortment of cakes and pastries, cereal and eggs made to order). Hotel offers a water refilling station and tea/coffee during the day, always a very welcome touch. Pleasant and helpful staff helped to arrange airport transfers. I would happily have stayed here on my return to Santiago from Punta Arenas but unfortunately there was no availability. Would highly recommend.

Good breakfast, the location is close to everything you can visit in Santiago.

Attention future tourists: - the price is in dollars and must be paid at the property also in dollars, if paid in local currency, 19% VAT is added. -debit cards are not accepted, only credit cards Something unmatched in other hotels.

The front desk was super helpful in helping me with my sky airline problem. Also in letting me practice my mas o menos spanish. I wished i had realized there was a rooftop dipping pool, it looked great.

Great location, very comfortable, helpful staff. We arrived late for breakfast one day and the staff let us in. Great restaurant next door!

The bathroom has a glass door which is weird as it is right next to the sink and the glass wall to the bedroom so you don't feel like you have privacy.

Breakfast was The best I had in a long time.

The bathroom design is poor. It has very little light inside the shower and toilet.

The location was fantastic. A quiet oasis in the center of street vendors, restaurants, and bars. Also close to the easy-to-use subway. The hotel had 24 hour coffee and water in the lounge. The included breakfast was exceptional with fresh fruit,omelets, and more.

This location is perfect--a lively neighborhood with lots of restaurants and street music right at your doorstep. And still within walking distance to the Plaza de Armas. Spacious room. Very good breakfast. Rooftop swimming pool has a spectacular view.

Were hoping to try the hotel restaurant but it's closed on weekends. Waterfall shower only and floor is slippery--maybe offer a shower mat?

The location was excellent--right in the heart of the "bohemian" Lastarria area with street markets all around us---and a myriad of dining locations. and it was an easy walk to key points of interest throughout the downtown area The Hotel was very comfortable---to say the least. The rooms were lovely--ours was overlooking the courtyard--there was a large lounge on the main floor with coffee/latte machines and hot/cold water dispensers---as well as an adjacent outdoor patio. there was a small pool on the top of the hotel with lounge chairs and an adjacent dining/bar area

there was an included breakfast that was quite good--- but could have been refilled a little more quickly as various items ran out.

The staff was very friendly, made the early check-in easy for us. The room had a good size and the beds were comfortable. Excellent location with lots of bars and restaurants around and downtown attractions very close. Delicious breakfast buffet and location of the restaurant on the top floor made a good start of the day.

The shower and toilet were separated, which is good, but both had frosted glass doors. During the night you could not go to the bathroom and switch on the lights without disturbing and waking up your better one.
