Spotlessly clean. Perfect location, lovely view of the palace of you choose the panoramic room, everything was within walking distance. Staff fantastic. And a lovely breakfast if you wanted in the cafe downstairs.

It didn’t bother us but due to its busy location it could be a little noisy if you’re trying to have an early night.

The location is amazing. I loved being so close to the Royal Palace and the Cathedral and a subway station and lots of restaurants and cafes. The building feels like a part of history and the room I had was very comfortable and quiet. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

There isn’t anything I didn’t like about the property.

This is truly an amazing place to stay, with balcony views of the central palace and spacious well appointed rooms. The staff were also friendly, available and very helpful at all hours.

The only real downside was our bathroom. It was clean and tidy, but the fit and finish on a number of the fixtures were a bit dilapidated. Fixing up the bathroom with some newer fittings would make this a near perfect experience.

Apartment was easy to fine in prime location to bars restaurants and shop, opposite was the Kings Palace. Easy to get to by Metro 4 mins walk to Hostal. Complimentary wine and Demi sec nice touch. My apartment was on the top floor with roof top terrace, we sat there in the evenings to watch the sunset which was amazing! This is definitely more than a hostal more like a boutique hotel with generous space in all areas of the apartment I would definitely recommend staying here in Madrid.

Great location, fantastic views across the square to the Royal Palace

The hotel is situated in the perfect location for those wanting to explore Madrid on foot and experience it's amazing history and culture. Everything is within walking distance. The breakfast at the restaurant in front of the hotel is excellent and it's an added bonus that those staying at the hotel get it at a reduced rate of €10 and are able to look across at the Palace and it's beautiful gardens. Talk about atmosphere! There are also many restaurants and shops surrounded the hotel. Alina and Jose at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved Madrid.

It was a little stressful trying to enter the hotel to check in after flying to Madrid and arriving after midnight. Luckily I had the hotels telephone number, Jose answered and came down to let us in. Upon leaving, we had an early flight at 9am and needed a taxi. We had been told that taxis often won't come directly to the hotel for pickups. Jose called the taxi for us at 6 am, actually several times, and he stood outside with us until it arrived. Thank you Jose, that was so appreciated!

Great location, walkable to most attractions and points of interest. Beautiful views of royal palace , opera houses, and gardens from the studio. Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast with the voucher was a huge plus for our 2 night stay

Perfect location - the plaza around the palace has several spots to enjoy a coffee or glass of wine. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great Top notch AC and the front desk was very helpful!

We got two rooms and they were able to put them right next to each other. Our view looked out over the Palace, which was beautiful. The breakfast looked great, but we never had time to get. The shower was amazing but the bathroom size was a little small, but still manageable. Very nice stay and beautiful rooms.

Was a little hard to find. Just needed to ask someone for help. The taxi dropped us off a couple of blocks away.

Perfect location with amazing view

Location of the hotel is just super - its opposite the Royal Palace and we had very good breakfast included next to the square with the view of the Palace. As it is situated in the center of the city and just next to Tourism Office - a bit crowdy and loud, but why would you stay in the room in the heart of Madrid after 9 AM? No coffee machine in the room, just tea kettle. Building is historical and not very sound proof, no fire stairs or fire detection system installed. Bed was comfortable, aircon worked silently.

Would be nice to have small coffee machine.

The location is great! Close to the main spots in the city. The staff is very kind and friendly, always willing to help.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and professionally by the lovely front of house staff. Our room was spacious, immaculate, and beautifully equipped with tea, coffee, water, toiletries, and even a little bottle of Cava with champagne glasses waiting for us. Although it was an interior room with no view, it honestly didn’t matter at all. The bed was incredibly comfortable with a soft memory foam mattress and pillows, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The hotel itself is full of rustic charm, and stepping outside to see the Palace right in front of you is really special. The location is perfect — safe, beautiful, and within walking distance of everything Madrid has to offer. In fact, it’s excellent value for money considering the prime location. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Madrid.

We stayed in the most inexpensive room in this hostal—an internal room, one without a view. It was affordable, clean, and comfortable. If you can afford a room with a view, though, opt for that choice. The location is pretty and tranquil just near the Royal Palace. Physical comforts were good. The water temperature and pressure was great, the room temperature control worked well. The room was quiet and well appointed (for example, adequate electrical outlets and strong lighting). The breakfast in the cafe on the plaza was exceptionally good.

I wasn’t wild about the memory foam mattress, which I found to be a bit warm, but it didn’t bother my husband.

The staff were outstanding, including especially the woman who usually worked at the reception desk, and the man who was always available to help with luggage, etc. Also, location was perfect for us—directly adjacent to the Palace and a beautiful plaza. Nice places to eat nearby too.

Elevator was not working for our entire visit. Luckily we were able to move to a room just one flight up stairs.

I have rarely stayed in a hotel I liked this much. The rooms have elegant old world charm blended with modern bathrooms and air conditioning. It sits directly across from the royal palace and next door to the opera house. My room was bright and sunny with a small terrace looking out over the gardens and plaza in front of the palace. The staff could not have been better! Everyone I encountered was helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make my stay effortless. Loved it!

Loved it and will come back

The hotel was just across the street from the train station, so very convenient. It was upscale, spacious, and clean and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was exceptional as was their food if you chose to eat at their restaurant.

The property is in a fantastic location, close to the palace, the cathedral, the gardens and the older part of Madrid. It was easy to walk anywhere we want to go. The accommodation is delightful, with lovely interiors and we had a fantastic view from the third floor. We thoroughly enjoyed our two days. They were having trouble with the elevator while we were there but were very accommodating in helping us to take bags to and from our room. Communication before this was excellent.
