Staff very friendly and polite, room was extremely clean, like, really really clean

Hotel Lombardy is pure class. It’s my preferred choice in WHS DC. The staff is like family. The kindness and the service something not even the 5 star hotels in town can match. Perfectly located for business and for tourism. You can easily walk to the White House.

Situated in the heart of the business district, hotel Lombardy has a wonderful location. There are plenty of dining options nearby. There's a Trader Joe's and Wholefoods within walking distance. The staff at the hotel is friendly and helpful. We had booked the King's suite. The suite was spacious with a kitchenette, dining area, sitting room, bedroom and a walk in closet. We had a a most pleasant stay at this hotel.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our waiter at the hotel restaurant, Mohamed, chatted with us about Washington and the surrounding area, and reminiscing about his time living in Jackson Heights, NY. He even recalled one of my favorite restaurants (Lum's) in Flushing. Staying at this hotel was a very nice experience. Definitely would recommend.

The entire experience. Nostalgic hotel with speak easy atmosphere for bar and the restaurant was phenomenal.

Checked in March 28 with a request for a nice room with a view and the Filipina receptionist did give us such a room. Location was walking distance to places we wanted to visit and to the Metro.

The Suite met my expectations for room size and comfort. It was nice that each room had its own door.

Someone didnt thoroughly vet the room supplies. I was short in the refrigerator, and in the bathroom there was no bath gel in the shower(bottle was empty).

The king size bed was super comfortable, and we had extra pillows. We slept really well. I really appreciated the lighting. There were table lamps instead of overhead lighting, and it is just so much nicer. The room was spacious and had a comfy chair, and a desk with a chair, even a small kitchenette, with a mini bar (which we did not use) but we liked having a fridge to put a few things in, and a coffee maker, and wine glasses. The hotel has historic charm, and everyone was very friendly and helpful, even lending us umbrellas, and storing our luggage after check out. The location was convenient to the Foggy Bottom metro, with easy access to the airport and the Smithsonian museums. I also want to say that it was a very good price. I highly recommend this hotel when you are visiting Washington DC

The kitchenette could be a little better if it had a a few plates, or fork or spoon, but we had plastic togo ones. A microwave would have been terrific. But just having a small table and chairs to eat at was very nice.

Classic hotel in a very convenient location for central DC sightseeing and GWU. Public transport links are superb with Foggy Bottom nearby and many convenient bus routes. Staff were friendly and the room was relatively spacious, quiet and comfortable: we slept well.

It is an old building and as such is a little quirky compared with more modern hotels. Everything was clean and worked, but the bathroom in particular seemed a little tired, as well as some of the lighting.

Good location. Near public transportation and not far from tourist attractions. Hotel is old but great structure with details on it that makes stay pleasant.

Loved this hotel, it’s so warm and cozy inside! Loved that they had a restaurant inside the hotel, very convenient. This place is so nicely decorated, will definitely be back!

A pretty good value for money option. Cozy room with a small walk-in closet. I liked the robe, but I missed the slippers. There was water in the room and excellent internet.

Characterful historic hotel very well located in Washington. Easy and friendly check in and out. Would recommend it

It is an old heritage hotel, but extremely well maintained. It is located close to all attractions, nearest metro is about 7 minutes walk. There are lots of eateries around the place. Rooms are well lit and clean. Housekeeping is done on daily basis. Water dispenser is at the gym. The hotel also provides bottled water.

I don't think that you can call it a kitchenette. A small fridge, a coffee maker and a sink doesn't qualify.

Very friendly staff on every front. The bed was super comfortable. Nice light in the room but also easily dark with curtains closed. Not a big lobby but the public spaces were still very clean and nicely decorated.

Only con was TV is quite dated with the resolution making it hard to even watch. But not a big concern on the scale of the hotel.

Old elevators and you never know if they go up / down when waiting on your floor.
