Incredible location and the staff was exceptionally helpful and kind.

The rooms absolutely must be upgraded. For the amount we paid, we expected much higher quality from the carpets, the bed frame, the kitchenette, etc.

I loved the location

Value for price was not there. Hotel really needs to clean the carpet in the rooms and corridors. The faucet also had easy to clean but somehow missed marks. We did not feel welcome. Normally when you go to top end hotels like this, you have the staff very friendly but it was not the case for us. So literally nothing special about the hotel other than the location.

Location was great. Lobby was very nice. Bathroom was huge.

Extremely loud banging every morning starting at 5 AM. We were close to service areas and could hear everything.

Our Room was beautiful but the bathroom had dirt and grease on the counter and the rug was rolled up into a ball. The ONE thing I want clean is the bathroom! One of 2 beds was super firm (causes backaches at my age ). Phone kept randomly ringing. Water pipe leaking so they woke us up to see if it was us. Tough getting back to sleep.

Fantastic location and terrific valet parking staff. The entrance and lobby were very nice. I appreciated the re-stocked water and snacks in the room.

The room (I stayed in 124) felt old, and lacked any sense of luxury. The rugs were old and worn. The art on the wall wasn't very nice. The door didn't close well. I had asked the front desk to bring me cutlery, and it was left, on the dirty carpet outside my door, bare against the ground. I found that to be a breach of health code and pretty gross. Inexcusable for a Motel 6, let alone this place.

Had 201 and 202… GREAT view! Nice boutique hotel. Sadly, the restaurant was closed during our stay, but it is a Michelin restaurant. There are tons of attractions in easy walking distance, including La Jolla Cove, and the seals.

The staff was above and beyond. Super helpful, extremely friendly and welcoming. Probably the best I've encountered in a while.

I love the charm of the old part of the hotel, but they could replace the carpet.....

Everything! Great location, wonderful front desk staff and valets. Love having a golf cart take us go dinner. Terrific view. Delicious snacks and water provided daily.

Valet service was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was prompt.

Breakfast choices were quite limited. Toast ordered was cold. First server was nice and friendly. The following days the server was unsmiling/unfriendly. Was charged for local phone calls...info in the room said they were complimentary.

We were disappointed that the restaurant was closed on Monday and Tuesday. We needed to leave to have breakfast and lunch out. The bar not being open met you could not have a cocktail as the bar was not open. No reduced room change on these days

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, including the front desk, bellmen, valets and those people staffing the meeting room where our seminar was. Amenities in the seminar room were excellent as well. Our double room with ocean view was very spacious, clean and comfortable, including excellent blackout curtains for sleeping in. The room did include a refrigerator which was not mentioned on their website and which was a welcome feature. would recommend for a La Jolla stay.

Location was excellent and staff were extremely helpful and polite. Eager to help. Valet and Bell support was fast and friendly. Front desk staff helped with a request for much needed earlier check in without added cost.

Accessibility could be a struggle for mobility limited guests for some rooms and so if stairs are an issue, clients best indicate needs before arrival.

The bed was terrible … soft and weak. My lower back was always in pain. The worst bed I’ve ever slept in.

The staff were brilliant and did the little bit extra to make interactions special. I’ve had a wonderful stay

It felt a bit tired and run down. Poor shower pressure in the bathroom, old carpets in the hallway, limited range of snacks offered as part of the USD40 charge (which is more to cover cost of upscale gym membership).

I did not have breakfast, but the food and service at the restaurant was excellent.

It may seem petty, but they used a biological washing powder on the bedclothes, and caused some skin irritation.

Staff was amazing! Very helpful with any requests & answered our questions. Isabella was the definition of Top Customer Service! The cleaning crew were great as well! Would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Superior central location near ocean & restaurants.

Beds a bit out dated but okay.

The Hotel was iconic and grand just as its namesake. Nice room, comfortable bed. Isabel helped us get a room next to our kids room which was so important. The valet guys were super friendly and always courteous.

There was a bad odor coming from the shower area, like a body odor smell which was unpleasant. House keeping doesn’t come clean the room unless you ask for it.
