Townhouse Boutique Hotel, Zurich

The location- it’s just a few steps to restaurants, pharmacy and SBB main station. Very convenient.

Tight bathroom- loose toilet seat and cover. Could do better with pillows- maybe add more filling or use a more firm type of pillow. If you’re a side sleeper, it’ll hurt your neck and chest area. We asked for an additional pillow but still it’s not firm enough.

Excellent in every way, as always when I stay here. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly and really add to the enjoyment of being here. I especially enjoy being able to relax in the lounge bar.

Rooms were a little too warm

The hotel is good and very well located. The reception staff are extremely friendly and helpful, especially Mark and Julia. The bartender was also excellent and very welcoming.

However, the breakfast had limited options and lacked variety, so it was not the best. Unfortunately, the hotel management is quite inflexible and not supportive if any issue happens during your booking, as they do not offer much help in such cases.

A quirky little hotel located just a short stroll from the train station. Just off the main street and around a 10 minute walk to the old town. Ticks all the boxes for location. On arrival a small reception area greeted by a lovely lady who also gave us some information about the town and a map. The room itself on first impressions does look a bit dated with some old furniture and wallpaper but it was clean and comfortable, bed was comfy and a kettle/ coffee & tea provided. Bathroom was a bit small but functional, couldn’t complain. All up was good value as accommodation can be quite expensive in Zurich. I would say the big thing is its location and even though it is in a busy area didn’t hear any noise.

The Townhouse is only a 2–3 minute walk from the train station, making it extremely convenient for travelling to and from Zurich Airport and other parts of the city

The room itself feels old. The shower area is cramped, and although I stayed in a junior suite with a small kitchen, it was not practical for cooking since there was only a small round coffee table with 2 seats for eating. The hair dryer was also outdated and even had a melted tip, which should definitely be replaced. Overall, the location is fantastic with restaurants right below, but the facilities could use some updating.

Great location just a short walk away from the station. Nice friendly staff and a reasonable continental breakfast. Great for a short stay.

Property is well situated but decor while pretty feels like they bought cheap furniture and just jam it together in the same room.

I hated the bathtub. It was very high and I was traveling with my 60 year old mother. It could be very dangerous and even I felt I could have fallen.

Comfy and clean, perfect for our short stay in Zurich. Great location, very close to the main train station and easy walk around the city.

There was no air-con so it was very warm in the room. There was a fan provided but didn’t help very much.

The location was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room had good space except for the angled (gable) ceilings.

Location- very near the railway station. Supermarket & restaurants nearby. Suite had nice decor & surprise was a microwave & toaster.

We had requested for an early check in as our international flighlt landed early at Zurich . The reply was that they will tell when we reach hotel. On reaching the girl at counter was not aware & very unhelpful. In evening the person at counter told us rooms were ready early. This was neither communicated to us nor did their staff in morning know about it.

Location in central Zurich was perfect.

We had a great stay at townhouse … the staff couldn’t have been friendlier our room was clean and comfy and the hotel itself was bang in the middle of everything we wanted to do . Thank you The Townhouse

The room was small yet cozy and had wonderful decor (wall paper, furnishings, bedding). The bathroom was clean and had modern finishes.

The elevator was broken when we arrived so had to take my suitcase up the stairs. It was repaired shortly after.

Loved the location directly across from the HBF and one street up. Rooms were quaint and comfortable, and the staff was exceptional! The one drawback for our visit was that the elevator was non-functional, and we were on the top floor, floor 5, so we had to traipse up the stairs with our luggage both upon arrival and upon departure. They did offer free breakfast for our troubles, however, including free coffee to go. The second time I've stayed here and still wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

We had a room overlooking the street. Too hot to close the windows. It was a Saturday night and the noise went on until we had to get up at 0430. Slept hardly at all.

Room was on top floor and requires a steep stairs climing.

The hotel is very convenient to the Zurich main station as well as the Bahnhofstrasse tram stop. Our room was quiet, perhaps because it was on the highest floor reachable with the lift. The decor is quaint and classy. The floor was not carpeted. Our room -- to our surprise -- was equipped with a Nespresso machine.

The online check-in process did not work perfectly. An important part of the Nespresso machine in our room -- a small tray to hold a cup and collect excess water -- had been removed, supposedly to accommodate the overly tall coffee cups provided.

The room (no17) was spacious with extra seats, a bench and good size bed. The bathroom was a good size so showering was not a squeeze. A jug and coffee/tea were available. The location is excellent as is the coffee in the Cafe below.

No aircon but a fan that didn't oscillate. TV reception was patchy and the DVD player (with free dvds available at reception) worked intermittently.

The hotel room was neat and clean. The bed was comfortable. Fan is provided. But still summertime was a bit warm. There was a kettle and coffee maker. Location was too good. Near to Bahnhofstrasse and Zurich HB. Easy to buy sim as there’s a Sunrise shop nearby as well. There are many eateries nearby.

The bathrobes looked too old. Breakfast was just ok. No much variety. Just the basics.
