Hotel Eaton DC, Washington D.C.

Great location, nice facilities, perfect showers. The suites are great. Regular rooms are a little small but comfortable. Nice rooftop bar and beautiful little speakeasy bar.

Lighting could be better in the bedroom area, coffee/ tea maker would be great in the rooms but is provided downstairs. I like a bathrobe provided but they are not available here. Steamer instead of an iron was a nice touch.

This is a wonderful, gracious, atmospheric hotel with plenty of comfortable lobby rooms for meeting friends, sitting, reading and relaxing. The decor is eclectic and eye-catching, with many small seating areas, including one around a very appealing fireplace. The rooms are compact, but do not lack in comfort and graciousness. Each room has a record player and offers several enticing LPs for listening. The rooms also casually supply a few books on their shelves. My room had two recent Pulitzer prize winning novels, "The Sympathizer" and "Less". As with the common rooms in the hotel, nothing is nailed down. There is an aura of trust that makes one feel at home. This hotel is affiliated with hotels in other cities I visit. I will seek out these places as I felt I'd come into my own tribe staying here. Beautiful, eye-catching art, a trustful staff and a comfortable bed and bathroom is a trifecta.

I reserved my room through BOOKING.com and chose a room that included breakfast. I traveled with friends who booked directly with the hotel. Their bookings did not include breakfast and their reservation rates averaged $15 less per night than my reservation. This lovely hotel does not provide breakfast, continental or otherwise. What the hotel does provide is a voucher that entitles the holder to a SMALL cup of coffee or tea and a single muffin or Danish. The cafe has fresh fruit and yogurt cups as well as other enticing alternatives, but those choices come wrapped in plastic and priced at Starbuck prices. I felt completely scammed and angry that each morning I had my $15 coffee while my friends had fresh-brewed, delicious coffee from the hotel.

Cleanliness, the staff is very friendly and you are in the middle of everything.

Parking was Valet only. No microwave in the bedrooms.

The location is fantastic, close to everything you need. My room was plenty large enough (king) and comes with its own record player and books which are a lovely touch. The bathroom has all the amenities so you do not need to travel with them! I love the mission for the hotel, be socially and environmentally focussed. It’s a good reason to go back.

There was no formal place for breakfast, and the rooms do not have a coffee maker as standard. I hadn’t realised I could ask for one, so if you like coffee before 7am you need the machine!

As a solo traveller, I loved the events hosted at Eaton DC, which made it easy to connect with others. The rooftop offered great views, and the location was perfect for accessing high rated venues and nearby attractions. My room had an artsy designed interior, with the bathroom being a standout—spacious and stocked with high-quality soap, shampoo, and conditioner. I also enjoyed the functional vinyl player, which added a unique touch to my stay.

While the room was a good size, the layout felt a bit awkward moving around the bed to access some practical spaces. And just to be picky... no welcome treats / card left in my room.

Room was quiet and the bed comfortable. Room refresh without requesting it to be done.

No charging outlets, inadequate lighting (no lights at bed), one chair so only one person could sit at the table.

I was pleasantly impressed by the welcoming atmosphere from all staffs and members of Eaton’s community. To coin the saying, “ service with a smile 😊” For breakfast the tea and coffee were hot, nice and consistent every morning. The environment was clean with personal touch with my name in the tv with an itinerary of things to do. A safe, pleasant and inviting space for a wellness weekend. Thank you Eaton, you’re the BEST!

Individually wrapped packages pastries 🥮 would have had a nice finishing touch to the tea and coffee. No complaints! it was a beautiful and wonderful getaway weekend experience.

Location, breakfast setup, funky interior

We had an overall great stay at the Eaton DC. Great location- about 10-20 minute walk to nearby restaurants, museums and sites. The facilities were clean and comfortable, and the staff were lovely and accommodating. The decor of the hotel was both chic and modern. The complimentary coffee each morning was well appreciated!

Unfortunately on two of the three nights we stayed, we woke up to loud yelling and fighting (both times past midnight). We weren’t sure if the people yelling were hotel guests or not (the first night there was a show on the rooftop bar, so maybe they came from the show), but the commotion seemed to be on our floor (the 5th floor, so not even that close to the rooftop). Either way it was pretty disruptive and disappointing.

Very new and clean rooms. Hotel does a great job curating a pleasant modern vibe. Staff is friendly and helpful. Slightly higher price point, but a higher quality hotel.

If you're in DC as a tourist, the hotel is not in a the best location. If you're visiting for work, then it's a great place to be. There is a rooftop bar which is busy on the weekends. You can't hear anything in the rooms, but the lobby is a bit crowded.

Staff excellent. Location very easy access to convention center and GWU, very clean.

Loved the decor!

Loved the wood paneling and wood floors and the "library" atmosphere of lobby area sitting area. Room decor is attractive too. All The hotel has a distinctive style, with unusual features such as a small movie theatre and a co-working space for creatives. Great staff too.

Disappointed no sit down breakfast provided had to use Bakers Daughter cafe. Not much choice. Staff on reception were very helpful with restaurant recommendations. Had a problem with the toilet but after reporting it to reception it was resolved with in 15 minutes.

Would have liked a proper breafast buffet selection not food to go . Taxi booked day prior to leaving did not arrive so had to hurriedly get reception to get another one which to be fare did arrive quickly .Excellent hotel location brilliant

We were upgraded to an Artist Suite. It was laid out nicely. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The bed and pillows are comfortable.

There was only one desk-type chair. We really needed another chair. As such, we just sat on the bed. The breakfast place makes you order by kiosk and it seemed expensive for what you were getting. We decided not to eat there and found a French pastry shop a couple of doors down that also had breakfast sandwiches. We at there each day.

The only negative thing I felt was music on Friday and Saturday night coming from somewhere. It went ti 2 am and I did not sleep until then. Thursday night was fine.

This hotel is very funky. It’s within walking distance to everything. Very clean super comfy beds. Staff were very nice and helpful. Nothing was a problem and they were always there to help.

The hotel is well designed, very tidy, and welcoming. From our initial encounter with staff, at check in, to every subsequent interaction staff were extremely friendly and solicitous. The room was clean and nicely outfitted. The location is good and the hotel bar, Allegory, is excellent.

Room was very small. Breakfast was available in cafe on site but was very ordinary.

Staff were great - very helpful. They accommodated any additional needs we had throughout the stay (like early check-in, baggage storage, extra blankets, a kettle etc). The hotel has a great vibe and very LGBTQ+ friendly! The room was very cozy and quiet. Good location in Downtown - easy to access the key DC tourist sites. We booked the room with the breakfast option which gives you vouchers to choose either a breakfast sandwich, burrito, or 2 pastries + a tea or coffee at their breakfast café. I thought the breakfast options and food were good. Would definitely stay there again if I return to DC.

The 2 lifts are so slow... No coffee machine / tea in the room ?? The AC is crazy, when it's ON, it's blowing full force and right on your head when sleeping. I turned ill (big cough and bit of fever) after only 2 nights! I tried to switch it off completely but with the summer heat peaking in DC it was just not possible to breathe anymore in the room.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was great and not to busy.

Most everything was perfect! Would like to see a bathroom mirror light for makeup application.

Excellent staff and house keeping. Clean unique styled rooms with record players..it was a fun comfortable location to come back to.

Lighting (lamps) in room could have been better / brighter

The decor was sublime. The room was very bohemian, retro (circa 1970s chic.) The water pressure in the shower was good and the room came with extra features such as Netflix available via the TV (if you have an account) and a record player and records. There is also a roof top bar (which is fab) and afro beats yoga classes in the wellness centre. What more could you want?! I was really sad to leave and wished I was able to spend a few more days there.

There were no tea and coffee facilities available in the room. I had to specifically request these and once I did, they forgot to bring them up to my room! I also would have appreciated it if the staff had reiterated what facilities were available and also what time breakfast was served (upon my arrival.) I don't think this occurred. This meant that I forgot about some of the features of the hotel such as the gym and speakeasy bar.
