Ca’ Sagredo Hotel, Venice

Excellent location. easy access to all areas, beautiful hotel, staff were very helpful.

I just felt to room could have been a little cleaner. a bit dusty in places but nothing major.

The location is excellent and the palatial decor very grand. We went to celebrate a birthday and the hotel upgraded our booking to a junior suite with wonderful Grand Canal view. They also left a bottle of Prosecco, a box of Venetian biscuits and a note with birthday greetings. All the staff were charming and efficient.

The property is amazing. Conserved details and architecture are stunning.

Internet infrastructure was really bad. Breakfast was quite standard, would expect better for this level of hotel.

Location was excellent - I loved to get to the hotell by water taxi, directly to the reception:) Breakfast room was hidden, but when we found it, we've got very good breakfast:) Very friendly and helpfull stuff, smiling all the time:)

This is the 2nd time we stayed here and the place is Gold! Room, location, staff, food, excellent. Right next to vaporetto station. Private dock in front. Chose water taxi pick up from airport. Later took water taxi to end of island Santa Elana. On departure we took vaporetto to mainland to pick up our rental car, like 3 stops very easy. Cocktails, lunch and dinner outstanding. Breakfast is over the top in a palace library room with frescoes. Highly recommend.

I wish the rooftop bar was open. But they will bring drinks up from the bar to the rooftop sitting area. Wish there were more seats for dinner. If your making a last minute choice of the restaurant chances are you can't get in; every night sold out.

It’s often the mark of a hotel when they handle a problem efficiently and well. On arrival the air conditioning in our room wasn’t working properly - we were swiftly moved to another room, upgraded, with profuse apologies.

The hotel is ancient wich was a good vibe, a bit expensive and the laundry service is way too expensive but other than the we had a pleasant stay

I paid £436.16 for one night, it was a bit pricey

The room was very comfortable (bed/pillows) and the bathroom was well appointed with the usual toiletries (shampoo, shower gel etc), plus some additional (razor, toothbrush, shoe sponge). Was nice to have slippers. Excellent air con.

I found it odd - especially on such a sweltering day - that there was no complimentary bottled water in the room. Certainly, cheaper hotels offer this so it was disappointing not to see this from Ca’ Sagredo. It was also odd to have breakfast service start so late - 8am. This is no good for those with early flights or for eager tourists who want to get a head start on the morning rush. Thankfully, I only discovered the late start after I had gone down at 7.30, to find the lovely staff happy to accommodate me early. Another couple came down not realising the late start and where also accommodated, but I would strongly recommend the hotel look at an earlier start to their breakfast service to avoid dissatisfaction of future guests.

The overall level of service was not as expected. The attention to detail was lacking. A key feature was not available as the roof top terrace was not open.

Big room, very clean, nice and friendly staff. Air conditioning was also a huge plus considering the heat in the periods we stayed there.

It was a bit pricy, but also understandable considering it’s in Venice.

Central to town, boat dropped off onsite, significant space in the room, very helpful staff.

Beautiful property on the Grand Canal, Extremely easy for water taxi pick up and drop off directly into the hotel, The room was large, stunning and very clean, we had one of the lower priced rooms on the first floor but we still had a beautiful view of the canal, the staff was friendly and helpful, room service arrived quickly, We were not charged for small items like coffee and croissants which we really appreciated.

The location and the fantastic breakfast staff

The noise from the room above in the early hours of the morning and the staff response to concerns raised.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Especially the bellboy, who was a middle aged, portly man, straight out of a movie. That man deserves a payrise! The location on the Grand Canal was exceptional. The fourth floor roof terrace, whilst bare, gave a superb view of the canal. The decor was straight out of a shakespearean play, which was perfect, given the history of the former Aristocratic Palace, turned into Hotel. The History of the Building was apparent at every turn. The bathroom was very oppulent, covered entirely in marble. The shower being excellent also. There were no facilities to speak of, but then again, this is the heart of venice. We weren't expecting water slides or spas, so no complaints on that score, as we would not have used them anyway.

Whilst the restaurant looked beautiful, we did not use it as the menu was very limited, which was a shame. We were unable to access the wifi, as it was not a secure connection, so not worth the risk of using. The room could have done with a freshen up, as walls were marked with old water stains and marks etc. The buffet breakfast was also limited and uninspired, but not unpleasant. Compared to other places we have been, this was expensive for what we got. However, this is venice and it is not cheap to stay anywhere in the city.

Amazing hotel/Palace with a fascinating history recreating the splendor of Venice . Our suite was the Arts Room with 18th century stucco works and elaborately painted ceilings. Breakfast was served in one of the hotel majestic rooms. The Carnival added to the mystery and glamour of C'a Sagredo.

For a 5 Star mineral water should be free and delivered daily. Overall a little touch up here and there could be great. The breakfast is ok nothing special. Friendly service in the restaurant.

A truly beautiful palazzo right on the grand canal. A fantastic location and a gorgeous room with a very comfortable bed, stunning frescos and beautiful bathroom. Polite, helpful staff.

The hotel breakfast was very average and the facilities beyond the room were quite limited. But all of Venice is on your doorstep, so just sleep here then head out for breakfast and an espresso to start your day and take it from there.

The hotel is located in the historical building, right on the Grand Canal, it was a great and memorable experience to live in a palace like this. Like the touch of history and real, ancient Venice. It is easily reachable from the main Train Station. Breakfast was really good, you can have room service if you like, even for dinner. Next to the hotel there is Gondola service, you can also get a taxi and enjoy a ride on the Grand Canal. Room was very cozy, decorated beautifully, bathroom was big, clean and had everything you need, staff was very friendly and helpful. There is something special and warm about this place.

The reception staff are very respectful, the room workers are excellent, the treatment of everyone is elegant, the rooms are clean, and the breakfast food is served. A hotel that deserves 10 stars. It is located in the center of Venice. I would recommend staying in it

From the welcome at reception we had an awesome stay at this hotel. Our room was amazing, spectacular even. The ambience was lovely. I sat for a long time in the water side watching the gondolas go by. And the roof top bar was wonderful for a few drinks with my husband. Breakfast was really excellent.
