Hotel Park Hyatt, Tokyo

My room had everthing you could require and extemely comfortable and fabulous views. I was in an upper floor corner room. House keeping were excellent including with my laundry requirements. Breakfast was wonderful and so were all the F&B staff. Door staff very helpful on saving our luggage and onward shipping of a bag.

Despite my room being on a high floor there was the noise from the fire engines, the fire station is on the corner next to the hotel. Staying in the hotel does not give you priority entrance for the Jazz bar on the top floor. Reception staff completely disinterested and not very helpful.Maybe with the hotel closing for refurbishment they were no longer interested in helping guests.

The views of Tokyo from the hotel are truly spectacular, the French restaurant in the hotel is very nice and staff was completely on point. The room was extremely spacious, and they have 24 hours room service

The rooms definitely need an upgrade, the look of them is very 90’s and the furniture feels old and looks old. Unfortunately the famous bar in the rooftop was closed under renovation

Staff and breakfast were excellent.

The room was a bit shabby and disappointing. Certainly not worth the $800 per night. The decor and furniture were old and dated, furniture, doorways etc scuffed and dinged. Carpet and drapes seemed old.

Fantastic classic hotel. Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The dining options were varied and reasonably priced. We lovEd our stay.

Very very beautiful and stylish

What a wonderful stay! The view is a delight, the service is absolutely perfect, all is made to ensure your stay is magical, from the reception when you arrive to the still warm chocolate madeleines served for breakfast. The New York grill and its view of Tokyo, the swimming pool on the top floor at night... All is amazing. Wether Lost in translation is your cult film or not, come and stay here. It's such a wonderful place.

Concierge service made insufficient effort to book us at the restaurant of our choice. The restaurant apparently required a fax request, which they were unwilling to do.

Superb staff

Spent 5 nights in a park view king room for our honeymoon in May 2023 and so happy we chose Park Hyatt Tokyo. Everything was perfect - beautiful room with all amenities including tv to which you can connect your phone for Netflix etc; staff and service excellent, we received a complimentary bottle of Ruinard champagne upon arrival which we enjoyed in the bath with view over Tokyo; on every occasion the staff remembered that we were honeymooners and tried to make our stay extra special. Also great location at Shinjuku easy to get around with taxis and metro.

it’s like a maze inside and difficult to find the reception desk..

We treated ourselves to 2 nights at the Park Hyatt for our 5th wedding anniversary. Almost everything was lovely and beyond expectation, upon check in we were asked if we would like to have a bottle of champagne sent to our room to congratulate us for our anniversary, and at dinner at the girandole restaurant we were surprised with an anniversary dessert with photos taken of us to be given as a keepsake at checkout. The facilities are amazing and it really feels as though you are in an oasis in the sky of Tokyo. This is easily the best hotel I've ever had the pleasure of staying in.

Everything was great, bar the welcome experience at the New York bar. We came there after our dinner at Girandole at the time we were expected and were welcomed rudely. It did put a slight dampener on the rest of the evening, but other than that everything was lovely.

A very well-executed operation. High standards of accommodation. New York Bar an excellent place to catch up with friends and spend an evening. Attentive and responsive staff.

A little bit remote in terms of public transport options. Taxis are expensive and unfortunately necessary ex-hotel. Pool was closed for maintenance during our stay and we weren’t told this prior to arrival. No offer of complimentary spa access in light of pool being unavailable - even guests were required to pay to use the spa - a bit unreasonable considering the room cost per night exceeded $1500. No priority of seating given to hotel guests at New York Bar. No upgrade or other perks offered (as there should have been) despite presentation of Platinum Amex at check-in. Japanese staff very polite, staff of other nationalities not so much. Cost of accommodation far too high for what was available by way of property amenity. It seems the hotel is trading off its lingering reputation and the “Lost In Translation” notoriety - rooms were somewhat dated, and seating/lounge in room was old and uncomfortable. A 5 star hotel, but not in a modern or progressive sense. Other options for far more reasonable prices should be considered.

Although nothing wrong with the hotel and totally a personal thing, I do think the hotel could do with a little remodel in some areas as it does give a tad bit of an outdated feeling. Again, personal comment and don’t speak for everyone.

So impressed with the Park Hyatt! We arrived in Tokyo at 6am and they immediately let us check in to our room. It was a god send after a night flight with 2 kids! As usual the service was exceptional and professional. We always stay here in Tokyo. It is super convenient in terms of location. Our room also had an amazing view of Mount Fuji… what more can you ask for?

Every single detail is there for you to feel more comfortable.

The staff was so helpful and had great English skills - this included reception, room service, breakfast/restaurant staff. All made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The room had incredible views. Room service was solid. Breakfast had an incredible view and buffet was fantastic, including fresh madeleines from the pan one morning.

It is expensive, but you do get what you pay for. There are not as many restaurants and bars within a short walking distance, it is more of a business district, but still close enough to public transit to get where you need to go.

the lady at the front desk upon check in was easily rattled when we encountered credit card issues for the deposit, whereas when she just collected complete payment of rooms everything went smoothly

I loved everything about this hotel. My expectations were high, but they were exceeded! We got seats facing Fujiyama when we had dinner at the Peak Lounge. Fantastic!

The room, restaurants and staffs services are excellent.

They did not allow us to take pictures at the swimming pool area.
