Amazing breakfast. Very comfortable hotel.

A truly unique property - as others have noted, it is showing its age, but overall, it comes across as charming, not outdated. My family and I enjoyed our stay there overall. Some parts could do with a refresh (Eg: The Line restaurant looks like it's stuck in the 1970s) but the quality of the food and service more than made up for it. The staff at the hotel made all the difference - they were genuinely lovely and helpful, and we didn't experience anyone shoving their namecards at us and asking for good reviews, which was a common experience in other hotels we've stayed in. That was great. We loved the pool, the Lounge and the overall feel of the property, and will definitely be back.

This is a small thing but: The toiletries provided left a film on our skin and made the shower floor feel slippery. The moisturizer was tacky and didn't absorb well. Maybe consider a more upmarket brand and experience to match the 5-star rating (and pricing?)

Loved the exclusiveness of the Tower Wing where we had upgraded ourselves to. Big enough for 2 of our boys to chill and for us adults to have our own space. Pool was great. We could just sit by the pool to wait for the boys to swim while we read a book.

The property was nice and the pool was luxurious. Additionally, the hot pool was actually hot and my foot massage was a dream.

I didn't like how check in took so long and although the pool was nice I believe there should have been more infrastructure and was not amazing.

Amazing hotel with great staff. They were welcoming and very helpful and really surprised us by helping to provide an early check in and late check out. It made our trip!

We loved the facilities at this property. The kids splash park was great and the pool areas. The restaurants gave a lot to choose from.

It was a bit far from the train stations and a bit of a walk to the 4 that it was close to. Was hard to enter and exit the property with a pram as you had to walk on the road. At check-in we thought we would be shown to our room and spoken to about the facilities for use but we did not get anything like that. I had to ask where breakfast was where the pool was and we felt lost in such a large large hotel with a lot to offer.

This is a GORGEOUS resort that is a not too far way oasis from the busier more urban neighborhoods of Orchard Street and Downtown Singapore. Beautiful lobby, great restaurants, and wonderful relaxing pool. I highly recommend the lush Garden Wing with Pool View rooms overlooking the pool. Wonderful hotel!!

This is our second visit and the Shangri La did not disappoint. We booked a room in the Valley Wing of the Hotel and with that comes all the lovely extras—- Afternoon Tea, Canapés and Champagne. Our room was large and very comfortable and serviced each day, as well as a turn down service and fresh fruit. All of the staff were very friendly, accommodating and professional. It was lovely to see a smiling face each and every time. We will definitely stay again on our next visit to Singapore.

The room was perfect, extremely comfortable bed and every amenity available. Lots of complimentary water. Our room had a bath and shower which is rare these days. I loved the lush garden setting around the pool and on the Garden Wing where I requested a room.

The hotel advertises itself as family friendly, with specially designed rooms, a kids pool called Splash etc. as a result, the hotel was full of families with young children. The breakfast room was packed with screaming kids and the pool got closed down (rightly but annoyingly) all afternoon due to a child having a bathroom accident. Disneyland.

Location was great…the grounds were beautifully kept.. felt so relaxing.. Food & beverage options great. Enjoyed every minute

We love the immaculate level of service, the "full board" style of all day drinks, afternoon tea and evening canapes. We can take our minds off the meals.

The room fittings are getting aged, although they are still mostly well maintained.

Amazing facilities! This is an incredible hotel with everything that a family could want. You literally just need to turn up. Everything you could want was there.

Food and drink are on the expensive side.

The ambiance of the property was amazing. Everywhere you go you will find orchids and smiles. Breakfasts are awesome.

This is an amazing hotel for families. The kids club is excellent, and having a separate splash park for the kids is great. The in-room dining is also convenient and they have a great range of meals for kids and adults.

Family holiday heaven! The pantry facilities were a gamechanger for travelling with a young family. The staff were incredible. We had a wonderful time. My toddler LOVED both buds and splash and the staff were incredible. We stayed in a king family room and had a great amount of space. Travelling with a family, I really appreciate a large fridge and freezer in the room! Also, being able to wash and dry your clothes while your baby sleeps was incredible helpful. I ran out of nappies on my last day and they gave me some to time me over.

It’s not that we didn’t like it, but the location was a little further out than we would have liked. Taxis to get places took just that little bit too long.

Not all the staff was friendly - specifically at checkin counter. One simply nodded when I said hello. I also noticed during breakfast when staff would take our beverage order, 2 out of 3 days we did not receive it.

A safe bet. Comfortable luxury. The doorman went above and beyond to help us when we had no cash to pay for taxi. Our second stay in this hotel.

From the moment we arrived at the Shangri-La Singapore, we knew we had made the right choice. We had originally considered spending a night at Marina Bay Sands, but opted instead for three nights here—and we were so glad we did. While Marina Bay felt like more of a tourist attraction, Shangri-La was our serene haven in the city. Every single member of staff we met was exceptional—so personable, respectful, and attentive. Within a day they had remembered our names and dietary preferences, and consistently went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. What impressed me most was that the service felt the same for everyone, whether you are a celebrity, dignitary, or just an ordinary guest. The warmth and authenticity of the team really set this hotel apart. We stayed in the Valley Wing and loved the calm ambience, along with the thoughtful experiences such as the wine tasting, high tea, and evening canapés. Marcus, the sommelier, was a highlight—his passion and knowledge shone through, and it was a real pleasure to talk with him. Raja was another standout, always finding time for a friendly chat and ensuring we were perfectly looked after. The hotel itself was immaculate, my suite was beautiful, and the spa was outstanding. I had both a facial and a hot stone massage, and the treatments left me floating on air. Even the spa reception team remembered me from my first visit, which made it feel all the more personal. What touched us most was how genuine the whole experience was. The staff were down-to-earth, approachable, and clearly proud of the hotel—they truly made us feel like valued guests. When the team waved us off as we left, it felt like saying goodbye to friends. We really didn’t want to leave. If we’re ever lucky enough to return to Singapore, Shangri-La will be our first choice without question. Until then, we’ll be recommending it to friends and family as the perfect place to stay.

Great hotel for a family vacation.

The kids club was excellent, the room service menu and food quality were very good, and the location near Orchard Street was convenient. The shuttle bus made it a very quick trip. Beds were also comfortable.

Breakfast felt more like 4-star quality, with a good range of options but not the level expected from a Shangri-La. The main restaurant atmosphere was more like a workplace cafeteria than a luxury hotel

My only criticism would be there were not enough loungers around the pool and those in the overflow area had bird pooh or leaves on.

We stayed in the garden room - the room was large and had a lovely balcony. The interior garden in the garden wing make you feel like you are staying at a much smaller hotel. Swimming pool is a good size and set in beutiful gardens. I have always loved this hotel and it does not fail to impress. My hotel of choice in Singapore.

There is nothing that I did not like about this hotel. Would always be happy to return.
