Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore

Stayed here for two nights after a long-haul flight to rest and recooperate. It was like staying in a garden paradise in the middle of Singapore. It's picture perfect from every angle. We didn't want to leave. Everything was easy. Perfectly cleaned rooms, beautiful surroundings, made for families. The kids loved Splash water park, and the terrapin turtles in the hotel fountains. The Line Buffet is busy in the morning (easy to understand why, it's a fantastic spread) so I recommend going early to avoid crowds, especially if you have young children. We loved the lobby restaurant menu of local favourites. It's a more pricey end hotel, but the higher price point reflects how wonderful the experience is.

Breakfast was awesome as the hotel catered for every nationality. So much to choose from.

The gardens are beautiful, the pool area is very well organized and the staff fabulous. The variety of restaurants on site is wonderful. The bakery area was a lovely addition and another option for snacks and coffee.

Our original room wasn’t acceptable as renovations were going on outside our balcony, but the staff moved us to a much nicer room with a lovely view.

The Deluxe King room was spacious and the hotel staff were friendly (trying to make sure that if we were queuing, whether they could help in any way possible). The breakfast spread was great, carrying dishes from many cuisines.

Nothing , no negative feedback

Very good location. Near by big vibrant street and building and famous orchard road for shopping but still this property offering quite Lashes’s garden in the middle of the busy city. The kids pool and kids club is a plus for family who travel with kids.

Great location and newly refurbished rooms. There is a small bakery on the ground floor which is perfect for a fast breakfast or lunch.

The pool gets pretty crowded with kids and families (if you want a quiet and relaxing time, this is not the best place). There is no topper on the mattress and the pillow menu selection is limited.

All the family amenities were the best I'd ever seen at a resort. The pantry room on the family floor with laundry was just exactly what I'd always wanted in family-centric accommodations. You do need to book a Tower deluxe family room to get access. The kids program is really well-run. I felt like our kids were completely safe and my mind was at ease when I chose to leave them there for an hour of the 3-hour playtime we redeemed each day. The breadth of activities and amenities for the kids really has to be seen in person to be appreciated. All of the staff were so hospitable, knowledgeable, and professional. We were frankly spoiled.

Some conflicting information on how the kids program (Buds) works vs. the kids pool area. It all worked out, and was pretty manageable, but not exactly a "drop off the kids all morning or all afternoon" that you might have access to at a Latin American all-inclusive. Location was a little bit challenging. It's a proper walk (20+ minutes) from the MRT in the Singapore heat, so we just gave up and took a Grab or taxi every time we left the hotel or returned. This was a bit challenging just because our party size (7) necessitated mulitple vehicles. The Line buffet for breakfast was only okay. We felt better-served heading out for our day's adventures and getting food on the go.

I have stayed here before and stayed in the same room this time. The room was excellent with a stunning view. I had breakfast for each of the three mornings of my stay and it was superb. I was eligible for the afternoon tea and later on in the day cocktails and canapes. Both were first class.

No complaints or issues at all.

Excellent stay. Minor issue on check-in with room however was quickly upgraded into family suite at no extra cost. Staff were all friendly and helpful, especially door people and concierge. Room was really nice and facilities excellent. Would recommend.

Was in nice location however a little further from some main sights, such as Gardens by the Bay, as hoped. Was approx $15-$17 taxi each way.
