We stayed n a Garden Room overlooking the pool and it was stunning! Quiet at night. Loved the balcony overlooking the pool. Really helpful and friendly staff.

We moved to a Tower Room for our last night and unfortunately didn't sleep as well as it was noisier than the Garden Wing

The horizon suite that we had was very nice, comfortable bed and a lovely view especially lovely at night. The tropical garden was very peaceful. The club lounge was very good

Room was very nice and well appointed. Staff were clearly very well trained and extremely helpful throughout the entire hotel. They all made you feel that they wanted your stay to be truly faultless. Horizon Club drinks and canapes were very good and the breakfast in there was excellent. Swimming pool and outside areas were lovely. Nice fitness club. We liked pretty much everything about the hotel and would highly recommend it.

Nothing concerning facilities or staff. Choice of cocktails at the pool bar was very limited.

I understand it is a big hotel but breakfast was chaotic. Standing in a line waiting for a table and the noise levels were high. Cluttering dishes and guests. Staff were helpful and friendly.

The location is in the centre but far from the neareat MRT. Taxi drivers got trouble when finding the Valley Wing lobby so we were always dropped off at the Tower Wing lobby which we have to walk a distance to the Valley Wing. Walking is good for health but it is not convenient when you have kids and carry so many stuffs. The receptionist did not show us what services were charged during our stay but only the receipt and asked me to sign.

Nothing to fault actually

Buds was incredible for our two year old. She loved every minute there. We also enjoyed the pool area. It was large and had plenty of chairs. The best part of the hotel is the staff. Every member of staff we interacted with was kind, patient, and smiling.

The only negative we had was during breakfast. Another family brought in a massive bag of durian to eat and the entire area smelled like the foul fruit. We kept waiting for a staff member to ask them to put it away but nobody did.

We loved the garden setting

The inability to have access to the lounge area from the lobby which is always booked out by non residents is extremely frustrating. Being a guest is reduced to second rate treatment.

We had to book two days despite being there for less than 24 hours. Our flight arrived at 8am so needed a room from about 9am. Our flight left at 6.55am so we had to leave the hotel at 4am but had to pay for 2days because of check in and checkout times.

Checkin took a bit of time

Staff were friendly. Hotel was in a quiet part of city which I liked. You can choose between hotel or service apartments

The location of the hotel is a little distance from the main orchard road. Needed a cab to go to places in rainy/windy weather. The garden outside is a little overgrown.

Room, staff and hotel was amazing

There was no milk in the room to make coffee or tea with the machines. A lot of the food was cold every morning at breakfast especially the bacon, sauagses, hash brown and beans

Starting from the check-in, we knew we were in for a treat. The holiday decorations and atmosphere were awesome and the staff offered gift bags and a treasure hunt to my kids. Truly incredible facilities throughout this property- biggest kids club I've seen at a hotel and a fantastic splash park where the kids loved to spend time. The breakfast is superb with massive spread of different cuisines. They were very accommodating to any requests we made in the room or during the visit. Unfortunately didn't try the gym but it looks fantastic from the outside. Walking to Orchard road takes about 15 minutes and the hotel provides shuttles to the main shopping hotspots. I will recommend this hotel to any family visiting Singapore.

The room is a bit smaller than I expected but we were fine.

Allowed early check in. The day we left we had a very late flight and asked for a late check out which was granted and the check out time, 2 PM, was very helpful. We also were able to store our luggage while we went out to do some sightseeing since we had such a late flight. This was VERY convenient.

The hotel was recommended by a friend and for some reason we got the impression that breakfast was included in the price (it's not), This may not be a legitimate concern considering how expensive Singapore is but we felt the cost of breakfast was too high ($38). While the choice of food is extensive it was far more than what I felt was necessary. A simple continental style breakfast that was included in the cost of the room would have been sufficient.

Room was excellent to stay in, very comfortable and very kid friendly. Facilities in the hotel was awesome. The kids' indoor playground was superb! My kid totally enjoyed it and it made her very happy. The amenities that was on offer for infants/toddlers in the common room on our family room floor was superb! It had high chairs and toys and so many things that could make your stay with a young kid super easy. Loved it!

Check in time was delayed by quite a bit so it delayed our time we could spend in the room as well as the pool (we preferred to shower in the room after) but they gave us a token to compensate so we enjoyed the breakfast the next day. Overall would have preferred to stay min 2 nights so everything wasn't so rushed. But a bit too expensive for a staycation haha but we enjoyed it anyway!

The Garden Wing is beautiful and the room was excellent.

We booked the Horizon Club Junior Suite room for our wedding anniversary celebration, the room was very spacious and come with sofa beds. Kids enjoy the room, bathtub and kids amenities. The staff - Paul from the Club Lounge was very helpful and kind, if wasn't for Paul we might not enjoy the stay. He is very observant to all the guests and treat them equally. The housekeeping staff are very friendly too.

For club lounge access, probably i missed out information that gentlemen have to wear cover shoe to be in the club lounge and my husband wasn't wearing one. The Club Lounge recap lady told us straight that he can't be in the club lounge cause he was not wearing covered shoe. We asked if there's any option for us, to rent a shoe or to purchase the covered shoe for him as we paid so much to enjoy our anniversary with the club access since we are there and all I wanted it's to create a special memorable anniversary to my husband. But she said it was none and we need to leave cause he shoe was not "covered". I am very upset over it and thinking how can we resolve this matter so my husband can enjoy the club lounge together with our two kids too. Another staff from the club lounge - Paul were notice our concern and asked, he offered us help and we finally managed to resolved the "covered shoe" matters and enjoy the club lounge. Throughout the whole club lounge experience was not really pleasant as ever we felt very uneasy with the different treatment from the other staff (except for Paul and another guy but i didn't get his name, both of them are professional and treat all guest equally) due to our skin color and maybe we with kids that they are not favorable.

Great hotel, brilliant pool and gym facilities, breakfast selection was amazing.

Love the ambience and the greenery of the facility. Tranquility at its best. Love that there is entertainment for the little ones in house as well.

hotel was really good; The rooms are really spacious, the staff are engaging and go the extra mile to make sure you're having a great stay. The location of the hotel is perfect, you are away from the hustle and bustle but only a 5min taxi ride into the heart of Singapore.

The breakfast (buffet) was not as good as other Shangri-La properties

We stayed in a garden wing terrace room (pool view) with 2 adults and 2 children, The room was spectacular. Very generous in size even with the lounge made to a sofa bed (also the best kids sofa bed ive ever experiences - not spring mattress at all). The bathroom also large and spacious with both shower and bath (great with kids). The balcony was large and the view of the pool was very lovely. The pool area was fantastic - never crowded. Large and plenty of kids playing space. Great pool bar/cafe too!

The staff were amazing, and the open-buffet breakfast was not only delicious but also a great value for money. The room and the swimming pools were excellent as well.

The Valley wing was absolutely exceptional experience. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful- Best chorizo poached eggs I've ever had. They were also very accommodating with a baby. The staff was super nice.

That all the kids zones were charged extra. My baby would have loved to play in the play room for 30min but it didn't seem worth the price just for such a short play. It should be free at least for kids under 4 that you cannot leave unsupervised anyways. I understand paying extra for childcare if you leave them unsupervised but if I am also going to spend my time watching my kid I don't see why it is charged entrance. Also the rest of the hotel (apart from the valley wing) is very outdated. The interior of the breakfast in the normal area looks like a cheap cafeteria. They desperately need some renovation look the same like from 15 years ago when I last visited.

Can’t fault the place. Staff were so helpful. Facilities excellent.
