Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore

One of the most beautiful hotels in Singapore, it was a wonder and delight to stay here. I loved that the hotel was immaculate, and had lush gardens incorporated all around. The main pool was fabulous and had two shallower sections for small children. We loved that for Easter the whole lobby was decorated and children were given chocolate easter bunnies on the sunday. We utilised the free shuttle bus to the shopping malls on Orchard Rd regularly.

While the hotel has every amenity you can think of (e.g children's splash park seperate to main pool, kids play centre, buffet breakfast) all these cost you additionally even though we were guests of the hotel. The children's splash park was fun, but guests only had free access for half a day, then after that you had to pay. The other thing we really struggled with was getting a taxi for a family of 5. The lobby/entrance staff only helped with opening doors and luggage but not ringing up or hailing taxis. There were 3 separate occasions we were not able to get a taxi for at least 20-30 mins. For a luxury hotel they really should have a staff member there to assist guests with taxis.

Beautiful spacious room with really comfortable beds. Staff were so friendly and it was a very luxurious place to stay. Great pools and kids can also use the big splash pad area once per day.

It's a little more out of town but we enjoyed walking and taking the metro.

Great breakfast options, attentive staff but the Splash outdoor water playground for the children was an unexpected added bonus. Excellent facility!

Long queues at check in ! Buffet breakfast is mostly Asian…only 3 rubbish cereals - coco pops, fruit loops , corn flakes !

You know when you book a Shangri-La the service will be second to none! The outside pool was a high success with 8 and 10 year old girls, but the thought that was given to those with children was brilliant!! Although I knew it as a top business travel hotel, I wasn’t expecting the same for a family vacation. Well done!!

Everything was wonderful. We were given a room upgrade, which was a lovely surprise. The staff were amazing and the buffet breakfast was the best I've ever had!

The hotel facilities are really amazing and the staff will go above and beyond for you. Well located and rooms and breakfast were fantastic. The staff is super attentive and we had our smallest daughter birthday and one of the staff took a picture of us with the cake they brought for us. Our small 6 year old daughter was delighted when she saw in our room a frame with the picture printed. Really amazing touch!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Shangri-La Singapore. The whole experience really delivered that "happy place" vibe for both us and the kids. The food across the hotel was consistently excellent — great variety, beautifully done, and with that signature Asian hospitality that makes everything feel extra thoughtful. The pool area was a total hit, especially with the kids, and the splash park was honestly next level — so well-designed, safe, and just pure fun. We also spent time at Buds, the hotel's soft play area, which deserves its own shout-out. It’s not just a little play zone tucked away somewhere — it’s properly done, creative, and our little ones had the best time there. But what really stood out most was the staff. Truly 11/10. Warm, attentive, and genuinely lovely with the kids — they made us feel like VIPs from start to finish. If I had to point out one downside, it would be the location. While the hotel itself feels like a lush, peaceful bubble (which is a big part of its charm), getting around is pretty taxi-dependent. Singapore is super easy to navigate generally, but here you’re looking at taxis most of the time rather than walking or hopping on the MRT. That said, if you’re happy to lean into that, everything else more than makes up for it. Would absolutely recommend for families looking for a mix of fun, relaxation, and five-star care.

we had a most enjoyable midweek stay at Shangri La Orange Grove Road , Singapore , our garden wing room was a trip down memory lane to the lush bird filled Kampong lanes of my first visits to Singapore , we found a finely prepared comfortable room , very attentive staff , a good selection of places to eat , a well kept secret hideaway, ;;::))))

The room was exceptionally clean, cosy, great view. Shang palace was fully booked, I couldnt make a booking, but your customer service officer managed to get us a booking. Really appreciate that. Also easy to select from amenities through the website, and staff are genuinely friendly.

Shower had low pressure, switching hot to cold at times. Hair dryer didn't work so well either

Great hotel - especially if you’re travelling with kids - that delivers 5 star standard. Rooms high quality with all the amenities and catered for our cot request. Breakfast has massive selection across multiple cuisines - all delicious Pool great and our 3YO loved the slides. Resent having to pay more for soft play on top of expensive hotel price so didn’t do this (think it’s +$35SGP) Location isn’t great IMO, you have to travel by cab most places you want to go, okay trade off if you use the facilities etc. Gym was great - lots of newish / quality equipment. Unfortunately you can’t get into the top floor lounge, they save that for some form of member which is a shame given it’s good place to get views.

The room was beautiful, comfortable king size bed with great pillows. The bathroom had great water pressure and a rainfall shower head with a separate bath tub. The amenities were amazing - The gym had a lot of equipment, the pool was large, a jacuzzi and sauna were available as well. There were many options available for dining - at least 7!

I wish it were closer to an MRT or bus stop for public transportation. The closest walk to the bus stop was 8 minutes - but in the heat could feel longer. They did have a shuttle available hourly that would drop you off and pick you up from two destinations - that was nice

Top level hotel. Lots of great options for kids to do and see while at the hotel - had a six year old and a three year old and it was a daily quest to convince them to leave the hotel. Convenient and central location close by the Orchard shopping area, and easy access to anywhere else you need to be at Singapore. Well maintained at a high level. The upgrade to the Valley Wing is worth the extra splurge, as the inclusions make it worth it.

All excellent but a taxi ride to places of interest. Would have stayed closer to things had we known for the same price/ star rating.

Excellent family holiday. Comfortable with superb facilities for the children with splashes and Buds playground. The pool is blissful and the gym facilities offer a treat to those that want to exercise during the holiday.

This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff were very attentive and helped you from the moment you stepped out of the taxi. The room was clean and very spacious and the view was amazing. There was a vast variety of different option of food for breakfast from croissants to full blown cooked in front of you Noodles and Curry.

The combination of a luxurious business hotel and a family hotel is a bit curious. It was well managed, but a bit strange to me.

Staff were exceptional with help and support, location was superb with hotel shuttle bus. Breakfast was fabulous of various choices and worth it. The room and facilities are extremely special to appreciate and comfortable. We love it and staff went the extra mile to make it home from home.
