Fantastic for families. Great breakfast and extremely helpful staff. We bid on an upgrade to the family room and it was perfect for us. Simple idea but well executed (tent bed).

Location was slightly tricky with young child as a 15/20 min walk to orchard for any shops, food or mrt. Bar prices seemed very steep but maybe this is normal for hotel in Singapore.

Everything was amazing, staff was so friendly the hotel was outstanding.

Lovely large room with comfortable beds. Easy check in and great facilities. Beautiful hotel and grounds. Friendly staff and good on site coffee shop.

The main buffet restaurant had long wait times to be seating 9am onwards. There are limited vegetarian offerings and when asking whether the food met certain dietary requirements we received conflicting information on a number of occasions. This was the only negative aspect of our stay.

Everything about this hotel is excellent. The staff are very friendly, always sharing koi pellets to my kids for their feeding. Our room has a great view of the pool. We jumped straight to the pool every morning after breakfast. The buffet was very good too. I asked my kids their happiest moment in Singapore, and they said it was the stay at Shangri-la. Will definitely come back in the future!

Location and cleanliness

The location is quite good a 15 min walk to at least two MRT stations. The hotel also provides hourly shuttle service to orchard. Breakfast was delicious at The Line. We also tried the Waterfal Ristorante Italiano which is also good. Rooms are clean and spacious. You can easily order some housekeeping service via special website and they will promptly attend to your request. Staff are both friendly and professional. I love that the check-in staff was discreet in handling my special surprise request for my wife and daughter. i just forgot his name :(

Amazing hotel and beautiful pool.

Breakfast was a great spread! They really tried to cater to our preferences for vegetarian food - bravo! Just a suggestion, maybe they could hire more staff or improve the arrangements to make the experience even better. The room was super cozy and conveniently located. Keep up the great work! :) Oh yes, one more thing - this is a family hotel...loved every bit of so many kids around ;)

Not much to say here. Some small (ignorable tidbits here and there) stuff. Maybe one thing they can improve is to keep veg and non-veg separate to improve hygiene. Maybe they can make that coffee (or a drink) availalbe at the lounge later than 10 pm :)

A beautiful hotel with wonderful surroundings and pool

The room was very comfortable for a family of four with a double-sized sofa lounge in the room. The towels were refreshingly clean with each housekeeping change. The doormen were awesome and helped us out a lot as we arrived really early and left really late on our arrival and departure days. We felt bad we couldn’t find the individuals to tip each of them. The breakfast spread was great. My kids loved the shumai

We were not impressed that both the pool and chi body spa closed at 8pm. This is too early! Our kids were really disappointed they couldn’t swim for longer. We had to make a choice each night for nice dinner or pool as we got back from daily activities at around 7:30pm

We had a wonderful stay at Shangri-La Singapore — truly a great choice for families. The hotel offers beautiful, well-maintained facilities with lush gardens and a peaceful atmosphere despite being in the heart of the city. It’s especially family-friendly, with thoughtful amenities that cater to both adults and children. One of the highlights was the children’s play area, which is spacious, safe, and packed with activities to keep little ones entertained for hours. The hotel also offers a fantastic breakfast spread with rich choices to suit all tastes — from local dishes to international options, everything was fresh and delicious. In-room, we appreciated the small but thoughtful touches like complimentary water and coffee, making it easy to relax and recharge after a day out. Overall, Shangri-La Singapore is a fantastic choice for a family vacation — just a bit more attention to pool supervision would make it perfect.

However, one area for improvement is the children’s pool. During our visit, we observed older children pushing and mobbing smaller kids, and even getting too rough around the lifeguard. While the lifeguard was very down to earth and doing his best, more supervision and possibly age-specific pool times or zones could help ensure a safer and more enjoyable experience for all children

Amazing property, the structure, grounds, the facilities and of course the attentive staff. We got engaged and Wenceslas went out of their way to make sure it was a special occasion. And Tamil at the front desk helped us extend our stay seamlessly.

The facilities catered to our family's needs. The pool and kids play area were a big hit. I loved the gym and spa. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the breakfast was amazing. We enjoyed the fact that it was walking distance to ION mall.

There were no robes in the room and the outside of the room at the balcony didn't get cleaned.

I like the fact that they had a balcony and the bed was super comfortable, the staff were very friendly and attentive . The breakfast was super good and a lot of varieties .

One of the bath robe provided in the room had a tear on the backside and they have stitched it and provided it for the guest wear . A 5 star hotel , stitching their broken bath robes !!! Really ? That much cheap? I wouldn’t expect this from ShangriLa properties !
