Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore

Starting from the check-in, we knew we were in for a treat. The holiday decorations and atmosphere were awesome and the staff offered gift bags and a treasure hunt to my kids. Truly incredible facilities throughout this property- biggest kids club I've seen at a hotel and a fantastic splash park where the kids loved to spend time. The breakfast is superb with massive spread of different cuisines. They were very accommodating to any requests we made in the room or during the visit. Unfortunately didn't try the gym but it looks fantastic from the outside. Walking to Orchard road takes about 15 minutes and the hotel provides shuttles to the main shopping hotspots. I will recommend this hotel to any family visiting Singapore.

The room is a bit smaller than I expected but we were fine.

Allowed early check in. The day we left we had a very late flight and asked for a late check out which was granted and the check out time, 2 PM, was very helpful. We also were able to store our luggage while we went out to do some sightseeing since we had such a late flight. This was VERY convenient.

The hotel was recommended by a friend and for some reason we got the impression that breakfast was included in the price (it's not), This may not be a legitimate concern considering how expensive Singapore is but we felt the cost of breakfast was too high ($38). While the choice of food is extensive it was far more than what I felt was necessary. A simple continental style breakfast that was included in the cost of the room would have been sufficient.

Room was excellent to stay in, very comfortable and very kid friendly. Facilities in the hotel was awesome. The kids' indoor playground was superb! My kid totally enjoyed it and it made her very happy. The amenities that was on offer for infants/toddlers in the common room on our family room floor was superb! It had high chairs and toys and so many things that could make your stay with a young kid super easy. Loved it!

Check in time was delayed by quite a bit so it delayed our time we could spend in the room as well as the pool (we preferred to shower in the room after) but they gave us a token to compensate so we enjoyed the breakfast the next day. Overall would have preferred to stay min 2 nights so everything wasn't so rushed. But a bit too expensive for a staycation haha but we enjoyed it anyway!

The Garden Wing is beautiful and the room was excellent.

We booked the Horizon Club Junior Suite room for our wedding anniversary celebration, the room was very spacious and come with sofa beds. Kids enjoy the room, bathtub and kids amenities. The staff - Paul from the Club Lounge was very helpful and kind, if wasn't for Paul we might not enjoy the stay. He is very observant to all the guests and treat them equally. The housekeeping staff are very friendly too.

For club lounge access, probably i missed out information that gentlemen have to wear cover shoe to be in the club lounge and my husband wasn't wearing one. The Club Lounge recap lady told us straight that he can't be in the club lounge cause he was not wearing covered shoe. We asked if there's any option for us, to rent a shoe or to purchase the covered shoe for him as we paid so much to enjoy our anniversary with the club access since we are there and all I wanted it's to create a special memorable anniversary to my husband. But she said it was none and we need to leave cause he shoe was not "covered". I am very upset over it and thinking how can we resolve this matter so my husband can enjoy the club lounge together with our two kids too. Another staff from the club lounge - Paul were notice our concern and asked, he offered us help and we finally managed to resolved the "covered shoe" matters and enjoy the club lounge. Throughout the whole club lounge experience was not really pleasant as ever we felt very uneasy with the different treatment from the other staff (except for Paul and another guy but i didn't get his name, both of them are professional and treat all guest equally) due to our skin color and maybe we with kids that they are not favorable.

Great hotel, brilliant pool and gym facilities, breakfast selection was amazing.

Love the ambience and the greenery of the facility. Tranquility at its best. Love that there is entertainment for the little ones in house as well.

hotel was really good; The rooms are really spacious, the staff are engaging and go the extra mile to make sure you're having a great stay. The location of the hotel is perfect, you are away from the hustle and bustle but only a 5min taxi ride into the heart of Singapore.

The breakfast (buffet) was not as good as other Shangri-La properties

We stayed in a garden wing terrace room (pool view) with 2 adults and 2 children, The room was spectacular. Very generous in size even with the lounge made to a sofa bed (also the best kids sofa bed ive ever experiences - not spring mattress at all). The bathroom also large and spacious with both shower and bath (great with kids). The balcony was large and the view of the pool was very lovely. The pool area was fantastic - never crowded. Large and plenty of kids playing space. Great pool bar/cafe too!

The staff were amazing, and the open-buffet breakfast was not only delicious but also a great value for money. The room and the swimming pools were excellent as well.

The Valley wing was absolutely exceptional experience. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful- Best chorizo poached eggs I've ever had. They were also very accommodating with a baby. The staff was super nice.

That all the kids zones were charged extra. My baby would have loved to play in the play room for 30min but it didn't seem worth the price just for such a short play. It should be free at least for kids under 4 that you cannot leave unsupervised anyways. I understand paying extra for childcare if you leave them unsupervised but if I am also going to spend my time watching my kid I don't see why it is charged entrance. Also the rest of the hotel (apart from the valley wing) is very outdated. The interior of the breakfast in the normal area looks like a cheap cafeteria. They desperately need some renovation look the same like from 15 years ago when I last visited.

Stayed in the Valley Wing. The suit was so spacious with the comfiest bed and a great view overlooking the orchid garden and pool area. Amenities were great and loved the turn down service - was a nice sight to come back to after a long day of exploring. Overall amazing stay!

I loved that we arrived really early (8am) but were able to drop our bags and go and explore the local area. The staff were attentive to our every need. Relaxing by the pool was awesome and complimentary nibbles very welcome.

We stayed in the valley wing. Our room was very spacious with a great view of the pool. Breakfast was good. A lot of options.

Very disappointed with the afternoon tea service in the valley wing. Wanted a glass of champagne. Had to ask two waiters with no response. It wasn't busy. If it was, I would have understand. Waited 20 minutes. In the end, went to the bar myself to get one.

The pick-up from the airport appears to run according to a timetable, so we took a taxi to avoid waiting for the next shuttle. An 'on demand' service would be helpful.

The room was lovely and clean, spacious and fit a spare single bed in perfectly for my daughter. Location was easy to get to in central Singapore.

Splash area needed updating for the kids play. But I gather this is being done in the near future. Would have a liked small robes for the children for the bedroom

Staff were very helpful when something wasn't quite right on our booking and any additional requests they fulfilled, we needed a stroller for our daughter and they had one!

When we arrived the check in person was a little confused and took some time and didn't book breakfast as requested so when we arrived at breakfast the next morning they didn't have us down so I had to go back to the desk and sort it out.

I stayed in the Valley Wing and it was without a doubt the best hotel stay I have every experienced. A special thank you is extended to Sammy our butler who went beyond what was required and truly anticipated our needs

WHAT WAS NOT TO LIKE? WE were treated like Royalty. From the minute we.stepped into the Lobby lounge till the final waves goodby at early check out 7 am, EVERY SINGLE THING WAS PERFECT. Only sad part was there was no halal kitchen. But staff catered to our needs and more than made up for this. Perfect place Perfect staff Perfect rooms Perfect facilities. WE LOVED EVERY SECOND OF OUR STAY,❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕💕❤️

Very spacious, modern, good looking Hotel in a quiet place, including all facilities. I got a nice a nice cake and greeting from Hotel, especially very nice treatment from Wency Vevtura from guest desk. Also Gary from belboy was so kind and nice.
