Lovely modern comfortable room and nicely furnished with character. Everything worked well. Great location, subway train just opposite. The breakfast locations were both nice.

It was noisy from lots of people just outside at the food/bar courtyard at the weekend having quite a good time to beyond midnight. But that was characterful, to us anyway. We'd stay here next time for sure.

The stuffs were very friends, especially Letitia. Very nice experience.

Really quirky as converted within an old temple. Rooms were well presented. I stayed in a cosy single which had everything I needed. Complimentary wash products were lovely, together with coffee etc. Staff were delightful, friendly and helpful. Great location for walking around China town and down to the Bay Area but opposite a metro too.

WE LOVED our stay at the AMOY Hotel!! My wife and I sold our home in the USA and travel the world full-time. We "live" 100% of the time in hotels and apartments around the world. We have seen many good properties and some “not so good” properties during our travels. The AMOY Hotel is a true GEM!! From the moment we checked in we could tell there was something special about this property. This is a boutique property - less than 40 rooms – but we soon realized this resulted in a more personalized experience during our stay. For example, upon check-in, we were required to provide our passports to the staff to make a copy. When Thomas handed back our passports, he whispered to me that he saw that my wife just had a birthday and they were planning a little surprise for her. Because we had arrived in the morning, our room was not yet ready. When we returned early afternoon, our luggage had been brought to our room and we saw that the staff had placed a “Happy Birthday” sign and balloons on our bed and left a delicious birthday cake for my wife in the room refrigerator! Our room itself was generous in size, very quiet and comfortable, and the housekeeping staff did a fantastic job of keeping room tidy and clean! A free – and delicious - breakfast was provided which was served at a restaurant just steps from the AMOY. The entire hotel staff (and manager) always greeted us by name which was so nice! As we got to know the staff, we learned that their goal was to make each guest feel like they were part of the hotel family. Mission accomplished! When it came time to check-out, it was bitter-sweet as we felt like we were saying goodbye to family. We can’t thank Letitia, Adnam, Jay, Thomas, Miza, Nadyah, Sheirly, and Jun Hao enough for their kindness extended to us during our brief time in Singapore. They were true ambassadors for their hotel and Singapore. We can’t wait to return to visit our AMOY family in the future!

Very helpful staff in any question! They do anything to make it a very comfortable stay :-) Rooms are very little. Nevertheless the rooms are very nice and comfortable. There are two different option for having breakfeast, both are very good. There is a great option for refreshing and taking a shower in the hotel The Clan around the corner.

The staff at Amoy by Far East were absolutely excellent. They provided an extremely helpful and friendly service to us - very personal in nature. It was an excellent location just opposite one of the MRT stations.

The noise from the various local bars street below which went on very late, loud music etc until 1am one evening. Also the noisy air conditioning.

MRT was right opposite the hotel and very easy and economical to use. Possible to walk to some attractions. Situated in the Chinese part of Singapore with a large choice of places to eat. Felt very safe to walk after dark as a woman on my own. Hotel staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

The only thing I could fault, was the fact that there was no window in my single room, so I didn't know if it was dark or daylight.

The Amoy hotel was well located for our trip and the room reasonably sized and clean. The building itself was much more interesting than the usual faceless tower hotels with the museum inside. The staff however distinguished this hotel during our stay. Service was excellent - friendly, polite and helpful without appearing subservient. Very good indeed.

The view from our room (Lin/206) was unimpressive however that's a feature of the building I think - other rooms may face the street but be more prone to noise.

Central location, close to Chinatown and Hawker Centres. Staff went above and beyond and organised a special gift for our wedding anniversary

The train station is right in front of the hotel and the popular bars are next to the hotel. The room is very clean and comfortable bed. It's great to have 2 options of places for breakfast. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful especially Nadja.

When we checked in around 8pm, Nadja was the only staff at the reception. Few guests arrived at the same time so we have to wait a bit longer. Nadja tried her best and did a good job.

I would like more screening around the toilet from the bedroom. The glass felt a bit too transparent for my preferences.

The hotel is fascinating, being fashioned out of an old Chinese temple and the shophouses around it. The room was beautifully styled, and amenities were excellent. Nespresso machine and bespoke tea. The staff, tho made our stay feel special with their care, attention and generosity. And nothing was too much trouble. I didn't want to leave.

The Property is very nice and has beautiful cultural feel to the place when you are in it and around the streets beside it it's hard to believe your in the heart of singapore it's really nice. The staff are extremely nice very helpful and friendly with hand written welcome notes very nice touch. The rooms are small but are comfortable with still enough room for suitcases and are nicely layed out. The breakfast is in two different cafes next door and both places have different menu's. The restaurant in the hotel has great food and beer and also very friendly staff. The location is very handy right across street is taxis and the metro station. The property is set on an old pedestrian street with loads of places to eat and drink and it is busy but it is not noisy at night. If I'm back in Singapore il will definitely stay again as it is brilliant value for money

There is a street cleaner the cleans the pedestrian street at 8am in the morning and he has the nosiest little machine that you can hear the so i hope he gets a new quieter one but where up at that time anyway so didn't effect us. The high step at the entrance is difficult with suitcases but it is obviously a protected building so don't think they can do much with that.

This my second stay at this, small boutique hotel in an excellent location for exploring Singapore. It is part of the Far East Hospitality Chain, in the unique setting of a refurbished temple. Location is at the edge of Chinatown it is a mere 250 meters from Club Street and its multiple dining options. The Amoy is directly across street from MRT station (Downtown Blue line) for easy safe access to the airport and other sites throughout Singapore. There are two venues to choose from for breakfast included with your room. A vegan option & a French venue. I ate at both but “Henri” the French option won out based on choices, their coffee and selection of morning pastries. Be sure an ask in advance of ordering what is included your hotel bill. Add-ons are possible at an added cost. The stairs, mentioned by other reviewers require navigating several steps throughout the hallways on the way to the rooms, due to restrictions placed on renovations as it is an historical site converted to a hotel. I was informed the rooms on the 4th floor had no stairs to navigate. An elevator to fourth floor eliminates the stair challenge. Rooms are small, but spotlessly clean, hot water abounds and the Wi-Fi is high functioning. Over-all an excellent choice for travelers seeking a smaller place to stay at a reasonable price. Finally, staff are extremely welcoming and helpful.

Not an issue for me, but limited choices for television stations. No on-site fitness center, otherwise no significant short-comings. My room albeit quiet had no window view to the exterior, not for claustrophbes.

Great location, lovely helpful staff, and we highly recommend. We enjoy individual hotels rather than a chain, so the Amoy ticked all the boxes. Definitely we will return when next in singapore.

Location and theme of the property are great.

Booking was made in different name to guest and caused a lot of problems. Even though the guest name was on their passport and credit card which was paying for the stay. Staff reluctantly booked me in after begged practically. Retraining on customer service in need. Otherwise no issues.

I liked the way they welcomed us, the staff was amazing and always super nice to help us on our trip. I will definitely come back there if in the future will go for another trip in Singapore.

Easy access from SIN airport via metro, with Telok Ayer stop across the street from hotel. Breakfast was delicious. Had a great stay!

staff was excellent source of info. also, had no hot water in my shower. told the desk on my way to breakfast. it was fixed when I returned.

The staff was beyond helpful and welcoming during the whole stay, the location is superb and the included breakfast is incredible. Would definitely recommend staying here, best value for money!

The shower and bathroom construction is a bit annoying because the more or less is impossible to not 'flood' the whole room.

the stairs, the room had 3 steps to go upto toilet and bathroom. there was also a really big ledge on entry which was hard to take luggage.

The room was very comfortable & the staff were amazing - they even organised some cake because my birthday is this week. I was able to leave my bags while I went exploring after check out & getting to have a shower before I picked them up was great. Breakfast was really good too.

The room was perfect, all equipments were very convenient for a business stay Staff was very careful and nice Welcoming upon check in was very warm, it was delightful Breakfast is very good as well I will definitely come back !

Location was amazing! Very clean and great back out blinds. Staff were amazing and held my bags after check out and allowed a shower when I went to pick them up before heading to the airport.

This property is in the centre of Singapore, close to the tourist attractions and public transport. The room was very comfortable and I have to say the best fluffy towels I’ve seen in a hotel in a long time! Drinks and nibbles are topped up every day and are free. Breakfast is also included at restaurants near by.

Loved everything about this super cute hotel. The single room was perfect for a solo traveller for one night and the staff were absolutely lovely. Additional touches like some free drinks and snacks in the minibar and tea on arrival made it an all round great experience

Convenient location in the Chinatown, just across the street from the underground station.

A unique hotel built around a 200 year old temple. The staff are exceptional and truly do their utmost to make your stay comfortable. We chose to take the blue line MRT from the airport and the Telok Ayer station is less than 200 metres from the Amoy. We indulged in breakfast at the Genius which offered plant based food options and gluten free. We were given a cold tea on arrival which is a blend unique to the hotel.
