Hotel Villa Athena, Agrigento

The location of this hotel was excellent. The view of the Temples from their bar is the highlight. The rooms are spacious and the service is expected of a 5 star hotel. Parking is free at the property. It's only 5-10 mins away from the town where you get a lot of food options. The style of this hotel is more classic and traditional.

The location is great for visiting the temples. Room was cozy with a terrace. The breakfast was great with fresh options. We also had dinner there and it was good.

The view from my window of an ancient Greek temple. Kind of like sleeping at the Acropolis but when we went out to look in the morning, there was no one else around. Just us and the view and a stray cat.

Superior Villa accommodation with sensational views of the temples especially at night. The restaurant was top notch for food, wine and service.

The property is beautiful, and it’s such a unique and special location within the archeological park! The view of the temple lit up at night from our room was stunning. There’s ample parking on site, and the hotel sells park tickets and has its own private entrance to the park, which is a nice perk. The breakfast was also very impressive. The room was very comfortable. It was not pool season at the time of our visit, but the pool looked beautiful and also had amazing views of the Temple of Concordia, so would be really great in the summer. I would highly recommend staying here!

The hotel was superb in a wonderful location with helpful staff and an excellent restaurant. I would highly recommend staying here to my family, friends and colleagues and friends when they visit the Valley of the Temples.

Perfect . The grounds are amazing so is the view from the pool.

Spa is not included in stay, it’s 25 euro for 45 minutes and the hot tub water was cold

Location, location, location. My wife and I could see the Concordia Temple from our suite. The Villa Athena Resort has a private entrance to the Valley of the Temples. Hotel is excellent.

We had a very comfortable room with a small terrace and a view over one of the Temples. The restaurant was excellent both for food and drinks (high quality wines). The staff was very friendly and helpful, always ready to provide useful travel tips.

Breakfast was delicious with fresh orange juice & a generous selection of pastries each morning, a menu that was presented to you and also available to download. Again a great variety—eggs prepared numerous ways, cold cuts, fresh cheeses, smoked salmon, smoked swordfish. The wait staff was very nice, they seemed tired and the service could have been more orderly—such as ask what we would like to drink and serve beverages first, then deliver pastries, fresh flowers on the table—lovely but they should have been changed more often. Just details. Took a cooking class—very enjoyable. Worthwhile.

Shower tile should be scrubbed. Room needed to be renovated because it was outdated especially for a five star.

The Location is spectacular. easy and private access to the temples. Exceptional service from the staff . Two staff in particular were wonderful, Manuela and Antonino. The main restaurant and bar and breakfast areas were wonderful. We have been recommended the Hotel to other Australians.

The BBQ setting and ambience was spectacular but the food choice could have been improved. Coming from Australia, where BBQ is an important part of our culture , I would suggest rather than beef as your main protein a seafood or combination of local protein would have been better. nonetheless the experience with other hotel guests was wonderful and we caught up with some of them later in our travels. This is a very minor blemish. The Hotel is spectacular as stated earlier.

Beautiful hotel with Temple Concordia literally at the end of the garden..incredible view, day and night. Beautiful bedrooms and restaurants and excellent service from the staff and the sparkling wine on arrival was a nice gesture. Quality bathroom toiletries and modern hairdryer I think it was a Dyson.

Not a real spa with indoor pool, steam rooms etc Treatment was extra. It's nice to have the option of an indoor pool if the weather is poor and the hotel calls itself a spa. Having said that we would return without hesitation. Food and wine excellent but portions massive, felt a bit embarrassed leaving food but great for those with a big appetite and also alot of consideration for people with dietary issues. Definitely 5*.

We were upgrade to a deluxe suite that was beautiful. We had our own terrace with a spectacular view of the Temple of Concordia. Very good restaurant.

Amazing overnight stay! Rooms were incredible, all the luxury you expect from a 5 star property, with welcome drinks on arrival, to complimentary snacks in the room, cool fluffy slippers and bath robes and an amazing view of the temple Concordia. We had the degustation menu in the fine dining restaurant and it was worth every cent, the food was exceptional and the view was stunning. Breakfast in the morning was next level amazing!! Could not fault a thing here, friendly staff, plenty of parking, loved the private access to the temple complex in the morning as we were the only ones walking around for about 10min which was very special. Loved the 12pm checkout time also! Thankyou for a very memorable stay!!!

Unrivalled view of Temple of Concordia

Such an amazing place! Literally the only hotel within the Valley of the Temples, you have clear view of two of the three temples from the property with a private gate into the site. At night, the temples are lit up creating an otherworldly experience which must be enjoyed at their terrace restaurant and their six-course tasting menu. Just outstanding.

Upmarket hotel with fantastic views over the ancient monuments and lovely terraced bar and restaurant. Rooms were very nice and we had our own terrace.

No spin bike in the gym

The location could not be bettered. Dinner on the terrace overlooking the Concordia Temple was amazing. The private gate to the temples meant we were there essentially by ourselves for 10mins in the morning. A truly memorable experience. They upgraded us to a suite (Temple view) which was nice of them. Without that I would have found the room a bit small given the cost. The bed was OK. Not the best we've had on this holiday. Nothing wrong just we expected great things again given the rates. Overall the hotel cannot be bettered if you want the full Temple experience.

Shower needed us to step into the bath. No bedside tables which was odd. Overall no complaints.

Its unique location with own entrance to the archeological park and spectacular views is what allows this hotel to ask for very high rates which set high expectations with the guests. Reception staff is very friendly.

Breakfast was moved to an indoor room when there was slight rain in the early morning. This breakfast room was noisy and had no views. Restaurant staff seemed overwhelmed at times.

Sensational location looking at the temple Concordia. All the staff were professional, attentive and friendly. The hotel was beautiful, with gorgeous gardens, pool and restaurant.

Lovely shower but no bathtub. Mattress protector has some sort of plastic lining making it noisy and hot. They make cloth bamboo ones that feel like fabric and don’t make you sweat.

I thought the cost of the food and drink was extortionate 2 gin and Toni s 40£! If the food and drink had been reasonable we would have eaten there more. It was Disappointing

Fantastic boutique hotel at an amazing location. Incredible and unforgettable views on the ruins. Our stay here was the highlight of our summer holiday in Sicily. We were upgraded to the villa suite (room 205), with a large private balcony overlooking the property and the temple of concordia. Frankly it was one of the best places I have ever stayed at, and my children really loved the experience. We also really appreciated the warm welcome and terrific hospitality and service by the hotel staff. Thank you very much for making our stay so special.
